Not total blackout but works unbelievably well, worth the high price tag
Well as everyone has said, BUY THIS. I was so unsure since it costs more than the actual pack n play itself and I kept thinking it couldn’t possibly be worth it to fork out that much money but IT IS! DO IT! We traveled from the US to South Africa with our 14-mo, room sharing in every hotel for two weeks and adjusting to a 10-hour time difference. This snooze shade was CRUCIAL and I mean crucial for getting our kid to sleep anytime and anywhere. We brought our pack n play from the US with us just to make sure we had a good fit with the snooze shade throughout the entire trip. He adjusted to the time difference faster than we did and slept like a rockstar the whole entire trip. It is seriously an amazing product. Be aware IT IS NOT 100% LIGHT BLOCKING. When we first got it, I realized it wasn’t total blackout and was freaking out that it wouldn’t work, but it does. Like magic. We cover our kid up with it and he falls asleep almost instantly.

Lifesaver When Sharing a Room With Baby
I was a bit nervous when my husband had only booked a room for us and our 7 month old for his grad school reunion weekend. We have not shared a room with her for about 3 months. I was not looking forward to skulking around in the dark and/or dealing with poor night sleep again. After doing some online research, I stumbled upon this. After reading the reviews, I thought I'd try it. First of all, this shade is made to try to accommodate several play yard sizes. It won't fit every one perfectly. Do what others recommend and bring binder clips to adjust the fit so that the top doesn't sag. I did, and while the hotel pnp is much smaller than the graco ones, I just used the binder clips to adjust. If you've ever traveled with a baby, you know that improvising with what you have around you is key. That and be prepared to be surprised. Second, it is a bit weird to zip your kid into this. I didn't think it would work (I thought she would freak out), but it did! In fact, she was able to get to sleep quicker and more calmly than when we've put her in a darkened room. Third, because this encloses the pnp, it will be warmer in there because there is fabric wrapped around. If you're in a place that has AC, it shouldn't be an issue. My baby is a heater, and she was fine sleeping with this. It's light and easy to pack. I used it to help pad my pump packed in luggage. I love this thing! Can't wait to use it on future trips!

but I wanted to make sure parents knew how great this thing is
I don’t typically write reviews on my purchases, but I wanted to make sure parents knew how great this thing is! I was a total skeptic. My child is 17 months and hasn’t slept with us since he was 4 months, so when I found out we would be sharing a room with him for a week I was terrified. We attempted a trip in the same room a couple weeks before without this, and to say it was an epic disaster was an understatement. He wouldn’t calm while we were in the same room and woke up crying all throughout the night when he would see us. It’s a little strange to close your kid in it, but within a minute or two he was quiet and within 5 he was asleep. I don’t know how it works so well, but it does! Grab a pair of binder clips as others have suggested so it fits. Ours sagged a little, but it was an easy fix. Buy this if you’re on the fence! 100% worth the price I wish I had bit the bullet sooner.

Great for travel with a toddler!
I love this product! It has been great for staying in hotels with my 2 year old. It keeps his sleeping space dark and cozy. He has tried climbing out the opening a few times, but he sleeps in a sleep sack still and isn't very tall, so he hadn't been able to. (He isn't able to climb out of an uncovered pack n play either) The only thing I would change is the attachments at the bottom for each leg of the pack n play. My pack n play has wheels on two of the legs and the Velcro on the cover has to be fastened above the wheels, which doesn't allow the cover to be pulled as tight as it could be across the top. As a result it sags a bit on top. Hasn't affected it's use, just forces me to adjust it often. This is the only product I have found that solves this problem and I think it is great! We take it with us everywhere we go.

A must for travel, especially when room sharing!
We traveled with our snoozeshade for the first time this weekend and it was worth every single penny. It provided a dark place for our 13 month old to stay on track with his sleep and not become an overtired mess. It made him feel like he was at home in his dark room. Add in our white noise and we were able to have him sleeping right next to our bed while still being able to talk and have the tv on so we didn’t have to just sit in the dark after he went to sleep. If you are planning to travel with a young child and have to room share this is a must!

Great for sleep trained babies!
My daughter is sleep trained and normally sleeps in her own room. She also needs the room to be pitch black to sleep. We were going out of town and sharing a room, so I thought this would give her privacy and allow her to sleep better. SOO glad I bought this! Although I was super worried she was going to flip out when I zipped up the cover, she fell right to sleep! It runs a little big and the top of the cover sags a little. But other than that, it is amazing!! So worth the $$

Lifesaver
This was a lifesaver for our recent trip with our 14 month old. We stayed in a one room cabin so no option to separate her for bedtime and no room darkening curtains like we use at home. Once she was out, we could have a dim lamp or tv on, talk quietly, etc. without waking her. She was not a fan of being fully zipped into the pack n play, so we would wait to fully enclose her until she fell asleep. The fabric is quite breathable so I had no concerns about her getting warm or stuffy when this was all the way closed. I stuck my head inside and it was quite dark as well. Our trip would have been a nightmare without this. I recommend this 1000x over if you are traveling with babies or toddlers.

Works well with 4moms Breeze play yard
After contacting SnoozeShade to see if this would work well with the 4moms Breeze play yard , I was told that my mattress was likely too large for it to fit correctly. I decided to take a chance and try it anyway and am happy to report back that I’m quite pleased with the fit. The wide legs of the Breeze make the velcro and elastic straps slightly difficult to secure, but overall I’m happy with how it turned out and it wouldn’t deter me from using the product. I’m glad I took a chance and ordered this!

Worth Every Single Penny!!
I was skeptical about paying more for this than I'd paid for the pack&play. But, we used the SnoozeShade this past weekend. We were camping at a friend's cabin and we live in Alaska (it never gets dark here in the summer). We did our "normal" bedtime routine and then I put her in the pack&play w/ the SnoozeShade, zipped her up, and walked away (like we do at home). My 14-mo old cried for about a second before she fell asleep. It was *just like* our system at home and the SnoozeShade eliminated the things that have been interfering with her sleeping on recent camping trips; it resolved issues with: too much "day"light during sleeping time, mosquitos, and the stimulation and distraction of sleeping in a new place. My friends and I shared the room with her, and she knew we were there but wasn't as tempted/distracted by our presence. She woke up later than she has on recent camping trips (again, I think because of the reduction in light and temptation/distraction). Over the course of two nights of camping I got *several* more hours of sleep than I would have otherwise because of this thing. It was delivered promptly, was easy to set up, seems well constructed, and was worth every penny afterall! (especially since I have substantial plans to use it a lot over the next few weeks including camping and out-of-state travel, it will be easily used with later kids or resold/gifted to other friends.)

This Thing is Bada$$
This thing is dope. I thought my 18 month old would freak when I put it on his pack n play. Instead, he cozied right in. (We kept the top flap open) I put him in with his head facing the opening. When I looked at him on the baby monitor, he had wriggled himself under the dark part. He didn't cry once. I think he digs it. Thank God because he wakes entirely too early/refuses naps when we go on trips and he's in rooms that are too bright. Excited to use this when we travel.
