Durable and well made sponges

I am very pleased with how these sponges have held up. I am the type of person that doesn't mind doing the dishes and does them daily. My wife even complains why I don't just put the stuff in the dishwasher... I don't know why but I just don't mind doing them. That said, I have put these sponges through the tests and they are indeed very good quality scrubbers. I should probably toss and change them sooner than I do but they hold up for a very long time (months if you want them to). Totally recommended, even if a little more expensive as they do last. I will definitely be buying again.

Expensive but worth it

As with anyone else, I was initially lured in to cheap scrubs, which were under $.50 a piece, but wouldn't last even 10 days. After having to convince myself to buy this much a a disposable item, I bought this a month back and this thing has stayed as it is with out any major tear/wear for the last one month and it looks like it will last another month. I cook three times a day for a family of 4 and on an average each time, there would be atleast 10 utensils to wash and so you can imagine the rigor this scrub was put to.

These are by far the best sponges I have ever used in my life

These are by far the best sponges I have ever used in my life. The curve design fits nicely in my hand and the width of the sponge really makes it a comfortable snug fit. The spong feels solid and after several uses the sponge never smells. My favorite part is the back because the scrub actually works and keeps working. I will buy again and you should too!

The best sponge/cleaner I've found ...

I've tried a lot of sponges over the years, with mixed results. But I find myself coming back to this one over and over, and there's a good reason. Several, in fact. 1) They're durable. I've tackled the inside of the toaster oven, the barbecue grill, and a baking pan used as a liner for an apple pie that "overflowed" and burned -- all with one scrunge. A good rinse after each task and it was ready for more. That means I don't go through these as often as with other brands. 2) They really do the job. You get a standard sponge surface on one side, and a scrubber on the other. I've cleaned non-stick, ceramic, and stainless pans with this, without a scratch. It just cleans. Yes, you need to exert a little energy, but it's not overwhelming. I use a good non-scratch cleaner (Bon Ami is a good one), and I've never had a problem. My stainless range has never looked so good. 3) These are easy to keep clean. They rinse well, but if I feel they're getting too "grungy," I just pop 'em into the dishwasher, and they come out fine. A package of 6 will last me at least 6 months, maybe more if I'm careful. I won't waste my time on any other brand.

No sponge should be this good

These are alarmingly good sponges. Not so long ago, I was going through multiple cheapo scrub sponges every month. Like many people, I had fallen prey to the apparent cost savings of getting something cheap. But as I learned, cheap can be expensive, and not all sponges are created equal. O-Cedar, despite its truly senseless brand name, has engineered the ultimate scrubber sponge through some combination of advanced polymers and black magic. These things are, in a word, incredible. Their performance and durability verges on unsettling. I got my sponges on 3/6/2016. Today, 6/22/2016, I threw out the first one. I didn't necessarily have to, but its soft blue underbelly had discolored and split all the way to the top layer. Were I to use it until it actually split in half, I'd be writing this review in old age—the scrubber layer appears to be indestructible. To put this incredible feat of scrubber tenacity in perspective, I cook 5-7 nights a week, which means my sponges see a lot of action cleaning pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and cooking surfaces. Before the blue foam started to give up the ghost, I was actually worried I'd be using sponge one forever. In short, these are marvelous sponges, and for once the manufacturer's claim is too modest: these last about 300% longer than normal scrubbers.

Staple sponges in our kitchen!

These are the absolute best sponges. I wish I had found these sooner. I'm always looking for better cleaning products and this was one of my best finds. They get everything off pots without scratching, which is great for non-stick pans, and food doesn't stick to these so you feel like they need to be thrown out after one wash. They are so durable and a great size - not as small as most sponges on the market. You can't beat the price so definitely try these, you won't be disappointed.

The Best Dish Sponges (who knew that was a thing?)

I have feelings for these sponges that I simply do not have for any other cleaning product. These are MILES better than most scrubbing sponges, the kind with a plastic "wool" on them that retains dirt and breeds gross stuff. The tops of the O-Cedar sponges is almost a plastic sandpaper, and it stays clean. It's rough enough to scrub dirt, but gentle enough not to rub teflon off of pans or logos off of coffee mugs. These sponges also last for weeks and weeks of daily use. Pro tip 1: Microwave a wet sponge for 20seconds 1x per week to kill germs. Pro tip 2: Write "Sept" or "April" on these sponges with a Sharpie, because the sponges last for so long that you'll forget when it's time to start a new one!

a truly amazing product

WOW.... a truly amazing product and I NEVER say that these scrunge sponges will do: - approved for Teflon, the only product in the world approved to sponge Teflon finishes in cookware - just melts away residue in teflon cookware and rinses out so there are no smells inside the sponge - will scrub off baked on food on ceramic cooktops with only dishwashing detergent and very little force... truly amazing, about 1/10th of the force and work required to use barkeepers friend or the like with a blue sponge... this scrunge takes stuff off very easily with very little force in comparison... it's crazy, I can't believe it... the first time I used it I was completely floored... this sponge is truly, incredibly amazing - I decided to try one on foot care scrubbing callouses and cleaning feet etc.: wow, It was 1000 times better than others... much kinder to feet than metal callous removers, just dump alcohol on it then scrub your feet and it comes out fantastic it's crazy how great these sponges are, they clean anything almost instantly without scratching , they offer a perfect instant solution for teflon cookware, they can be used for almost any delicate yet stubborn cleaning need, they don't smell ever, they rinse out of the most stinky and sticky residue instantly so they don't stink and harbor dangerous bactria, just spray water on them and everything comes out this is a unique and completely reliable product... totally indispensable once you use it... amazing... wow... just WOW

Only raves for this sponge

I do Subscribe and Save and for such a long time have found the quality of even the name brand no scratch sponges available in the store to be very lackluster . Brands I relied on now seem cheap, don't last long and the rough surface has become very cheap. Investigated here on Amazon and discovered the O-Cedar Scrunge Sponge and OMG!! I never thought I would rave a sponge but these deserve a multitude of raves. These are high quality and durable sponges. They are so well constructed beginning with the very thick and absorbent sponge portion. The scrubber side is rippled and ridged and varies from 1/4 to 1/2 inch in thickness. Often this portion is tough - not so here. It is flexible and bends easily along with the sponge and can move into any size area from the biggest to the tiniest to scrub and clean. The scrub portion also never seems to be coming apart from the sponge. The directions for the sponges simply say to be sure to rinse thoroughly and squeeze the sponge dry after each use. Believe me, you have to do this without thinking. That is how absorbent this sponge is. It holds water and soap well and as you rinse it out it squeezes completely clean and you can feel the sponge fresh after the rinse. I was also very impressed that using the scrubber side on heavy grime leaves no residue. That portion rinses well too. Take care of these and one will last up to 60 days. Again, I never never thought I would rave a scrubber sponge but high kudos to O-Cedar for the Scrunge sponge. Highly recommend. It will be the only one I use from now on.

Much better than the Green/Blue Scrubby Pads.

Great Product. We eat a lot of cheese in our house and a lot of it gets melted on the dishes. We use to use the green and blue scrubby pads and the cheese stayed in them until you picked it out (Kind of gross) These sponges just work well and we've never have any cheese stick to them. The soap (only need a little) stays in them till you wash it out and we haven't notices any smells from it - the sponge seems to wash out clean. I received a sample sponge from the O-ceder website (when they were giving them away) and after using it just the first week I came to Amazon to see if I could order more. So far it's been a month and the one sponge looks like new. I'm not someone who keeps trying out new products so I'm very happy I got to try it before buying it because I probably would still be using the green/blue scrubby pads and hating them. My Mother also thinks they're the best thing for washing dishes shes ever tried.
