Quality Adapters

I got a four-pack of these adapters to use in some outdoor fixtures. The worked just fine and were a snap to use. I was switching from a GU24 base florescent to a edison base LED. Because the fixtures are open at the bottom they allowed me to make the switch and everything worked, however the LED were 100 watt equivalent and somewhat oversized. So the bright part of the bulb was too low in the fixture and looked wrong. I examined the fixtures more closely and found I could make an some adjustments including twisting out the GU24 fitting. I had tried it before but not as persistently.(If you try this it doesn't screw-out in a few turns like a normal bulb, but many, many turns and pulling at the same time.) So I was able to remove the GU24 part and a screw-in edison medium base remained. I tried the large led bulb and it was in a much better position. I have some other GU24 fixtures that over time I may switch over to LED so these still could come in handy. These adapters look like a quality product and they so I do recommend if you can't do as I did above.

A Fine Problem Solving Product

I needed to replace the bulbs in my bathroom vanity light for brighter, daylight bulbs but not an increase in size or wattage. Surprisingl, I found that my bulbs had an odd socket - the GU24. A local search for the bulbs I wanted did not work out so I went online and learned of these adapters. I read about them & sent for them. Very reasonable price & fast shipping. They worked perfectly with my bulbs of choice. I recommend this product and this seller for those in a similar fix.

I have a Hunter ceiling fan from Costco. It comes with GU24 compact fluorescent bulbs. They are dim and short lived. When they died I replaced them with brighter LED with the help of these adapters. The LED bulbs I used are larger than the CF bulbs the fan shipped with. However, a little gentle bending allowed them to fit just right. Love these adapters.

Good luck finding anything other than 800 lumen Cool White ...

GU type bases. Man, we thought these were going to be the future when CFLs came out. oh, how we were wrong. I live in a relatively new apartment, built in 2012 to LEED specs, with an eye toward the cutting-edge in affordable energy efficiency. Of course, all of my hardwired fixtures came in GU24 variants. Well, those 7-year quoted lifespans aren't always a benchmark, and some of them failed fairly early. Natch, my building maintenance had a hard time keeping compatible bulbs in stock, so it was up to me to find replacements. My only luck in brick-and-mortars were at a Home Depot the next city over, and an antiquated Ace out in the sticks. Good luck finding anything other than 800 lumen Cool White bulbs, too. So I picked up a whole bunch of these and I'm back to light bulb freedom. AMERICA. (Well, without the option of tungsten bulbs. Also, AMERICA.) I've paired these with Sylvania LIGHTIFY and Sengled Element smart bulbs, so I now have total choice over my lighting. It's a shame bayonet base bulbs never caught on, but at least this saved me from getting everything rewired.

Best purchase ever!!!

I bought a great ceiling light for my guest bathroom but they use these special lightbulbs. 2 problems with that, 1st, these light bulbs are incredibly hard to find and 2nd, the lightbulbs are the awful yellow colored ones instead of the natural light lightbulbs I LOVE. I accidently tripped across these adapters while on AMAZON looking for the lightbulbs with natural light instead of the yellowish tint ones. I bought a pack of them, I needed 3 for my light fixture, and tried them out with my favorite light bulbs. AMAZING!!!! I LOVE THESE ADAPTERS!!! Thank you so much for providing a product that solves a huge issue I was having. I love my new light fixture but the light bulbs made it awful. These adapters have saved the day! I was worried that they would not fit with the light bulb in them but I got lucky once again and the light bulbs screw easily into this adapter and the adapter fits with room to spare into my light fixtures. Best purchase ever!!!

Perfect Fit

Many reviewers voiced concern that the pins didn't match, that they were off by a bit. As you can see in the pictures mine were okay. The pins in all 4 fit perfectly and they don't add too much length to the bulb so the cover fits as designed. Didn't change all at once, will change as each bulb eventually dies. Makes no sense to change and then be left with 3 bulbs that I can't use anywhere else. Maybe the others received a bad lot, I would suggest getting and trying for yourself.

Edited: had these in for a few weeks and the bulbs went out. So I went to change the bulbs to find that the adapters MELTED and burnt! Completely black. I'm shocked my kitchen did not catch on fire at some point! Don't use these!!!

A Money Saver

Some tradesmen unknowingly installed an outdoor fixture that had the "ill advised" California-law bayonet bulb socket in it. The fixture was from Lowes, but Lowes did not sell the bayonet bulbs! Had to buy a bulb at a lamp shop for $5. After that bulb failed I said "no more" and looked to either find an adapter or change the whole light fixture. Found this on Amazon and problem solved. It does take up an inch or so inside the fixture, so make sure you have enough room for the compact fluorescent bulb AND the adapter. Now I can use the cheaper bulbs-- all this hassle thanks to ever-green and never-practical California EPA laws.

Perfect for new 2017 philips Hue bulbs!!!

Worked perfectly for my brand new 3rd generation 2017 philips hue A19 bulb set Philips Hue White and Color Ambiance A19 60W Equivalent Smart Bulb Starter Kit (Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant). That link is to the exact set that I bought, so I assume that if you buy these and buy those bulbs you will have similarly good results. These $5 adapters saved me at least $100 dollars, since they allowed me to purchase the standard color bulb + bridge combo for $130 instead of having to buy 4 different GU24 bulbs at $40 - $50 each plus a separate bridge for another $50 or more. Simple fix that has been working great for me! I have these running in my kitchen.
