Greatly reduces hitch noise when combined with Sway Bracket Jackets

Since we bought our camper last year, we've turned heads every time we've entered a campground. But for all the wrong reasons. Our Equal-i-zer hitch popped, creaked, and groaned every time we hit a bump or made a sharp turn. As we drove through the campground to our site, everyone we passed stopped what they were doing to see what was causing all the noise. My initial research (both online and in talking to other campers) implied that the noise is normal, and is a by-product of the weight-distribution and sway control features of the Equal-i-zer hitch. But all that noise sounded anything but normal, so I kept looking for a solution to this noisy problem. Finally I found mention of Equal-i-zer's High Performance Lubricant and the Equal-i-zer Sway Bracket Jackets, and purchased both. I installed the Bracket Jackets, and applied the lubricant to the ball, hitch head, and tops and bottoms of the sway tension bar sockets. When towing with the jackets installed and the lubricant applied, I noticed absolutely no reduction in sway control. The only thing I noticed is that towing my camper is now a much, much quieter experience! This past weekend when we drove through the campground, no one even noticed we were there. While I expect that the lubricant alone would have reduced a lot of the hitch noise I was hearing, combining the lubricant with the Bracket Jackets nearly eliminates hitch noise. The amount of noise reduction is truly amazing. I consider this a great product and a great purchase, and when it runs out I will without hesitation buy it again.

But Equal-i-zer High Performance Lubricant is superior. Unlike wheel bearing grease

Why not just use an automotive wheel bearing grease? Yes, you can do that. I did for over 4 years. And it does work. But Equal-i-zer High Performance Lubricant is superior. Unlike wheel bearing grease, this product is lighter and easier to apply. You need less of it and it doesn't attract dirt. It lasts longer and doesn't wash out easily. The tube is sooooo much more convenient and cleaner when applying it. Plus the small size makes it easy to carry along in my kit. Using wheel bearing grease, I carried a larger container and had to apply it with my fingers. That meant a difficult clean up every time. It attracted more dirt and eventually, the entire hitch was filthy. Every time I worked with the hitch it seemed I'd walk away with grease on at least one of my legs. And of course, grease all over my hands. Now, even my girls don't mind hitching the trailer. YMMV, but I highly recommend you try Equal-i-zer's Lubricant for a better experience.

Works great for both the equalizer and the ball/hitch

Our equalizer hitch is fairly new and yet so loud and stiff. Adding this has losen it up to make it easier to get the bars on and off the trailer by applying to the joints as recommended by the manufacture. Doing this also makes it a lot quieter when turning. We also aded some to our hitch ball. My big tip, I would recommend not putting too much on because we thought it would need a lot and now there's too much and gets on our hands when we load up the trailer.

AWESOME GREASE!

AWESOME GREASE, it's blue goo for your balls. This has a very good tackyness to stay on the ball. I will usually use it for a whole season of towing, and then wipe off and apply for the next season. I used to use it on my equalizer hitch as well, to keep it from squeaking, and it worked great. You can't go wrong with this stuff.

Works well. Completely eliminated the highly annoying noise. Read the equalizer instruction/video on where to apply the grease and you will be happy

My trailer hitch was squeaking pretty loud and was embarrassing. This lube reduced the noise by about 90% if you get this I would use the equalizer sway bracket jacket as well. The combination of the two works great.

Great Purchase, Can't Go Wrong with This One!

This stuff works great! I like that it is blue so you can see what is coated and or where you need to apply some new lubrication. A little goes a long way and I don't see having to buy another tube of this for some time!

This works! I like my Equalizer hitch, but it can be very noisy. I added this and some Equalizer weight distribution pads, and it’s super quiet now!! Not much grease is needed, so just a bit did the job.

Easy to use hitch and ball lube!

Best stuff we've found! Easy to use squeeze tube. Thanks for a great equalizer hitch set up, and supporting products, and accessories. By the way, the first tube lasted six camping seasons. If it wasn't for the dealer giving us the first tube, we may not have known how good it is. Thanks!

It worked!

This, along with the nylon pads on the weight distribution bars, has hushed the embarrassing noise the equalizer hitch system makes. No more moaning and groaning while we roll through the campground. Be careful not to use too much, it’ll get messy. A small bead will suit you fine.
