HIGH QUALITY BRUSH

I bought quite a few of these, as they offered a special pricing for two months, I think. This was somewhat fortunate timing as I am doing thumbnails and colour work ups on a couple of paintings, a few ideas I had brewing for a while.I consider it a real bargain as this is one of the better arts and signage brush lines in the world. While I have not used it they also make a very nice line of pin striping brush's. For those new to painting I prefer British or German made brush's, these are my favorite for acrylic paints. The ferrules are either nickel plated brass or stainless steel. Lesser use aluminum and the worse a plated steel,which do not hold up to repeated cleanings.Also the use the finest material's and a time honored way of assemblege. I has been so long since I have worked in oil based media, I can't remember what I used, except they came from England. Another hint for new artists using acrylic paints, if you are not in a well ventilated space, wear a respirator and not a paper mask type, you don't need the type the auto painters use, unless you are spraying. But a trip to your paint supplier or anyone handling safety materials, will be able to advise you. I prefer the 3M Brand and have bought them on Amazon, but I already knew my size, and type of mask and what cartridges I prefered.

Great large pointed brush

My kit had lacked a pointed brush of this size for some time. I normally prefer Size 20, but this is a great deal, and I probably would have paid 4 times this at the art store. I needed a good deal to act, and had just starting to purchase some art supplies from Amazon, and this one was to good to pass up. I have been thinking of doing some painting and have been working on some sketch's of what I call western works , things that are unique to the western US, we here are fortunate as the dry climate protect things longer. I plan to paint some relics before the are gone. We have places you may of had water 100 years ago, and maybe was a stage stop, or some of the wooden roads we had in California, wish I had a camera with when I came across one of them. Note; I wrote this and realized I had not actually got the size 28, due in tomorrow, but had reviewed this based on the twenty, that being said I must say I am looking forward to seeing what a pointed brush that large can do, as I am thinking of doing a 24-30" x 72" or larger western works, and with tax the 28 would cost about what I estimated. I will take more care in accuracy in future.

Very fine grade of acrylic brush

Of the brush's I have used for acrylic paint these are the best that I have found I can afford. That being said they perform better than anything I have used, even ones more expensive. The materials used the build quality all there and the durability as well. I could almost be talking about German made cars this maker of brushes preceded the automobile. But the quality of the tool is only one aspect the other is how it fits your hand and how your hand and brush create what you wish. I was very fortunate to be able to purchase more of this brush line over the holidays, thanks to Amazon's SALE. I have not sold or had the time to paint in years, now that I am retired, some days just tired. I am blessed to be creating things from sketchbooks of last 20 or so years. Most of my recent works have been advertising type or into decorating, the right money I will paint about anything. I have watercolour brushes from the UK I prefer, and there are good brush's from Brazil at a lower price. Find out what works for you, that is some of the fun.

I like everything about the da Vinci brushes

I like everything about the da Vinci brushes. I am hard on brushes and sometimes they stay in the water for a couple of days because I am too lazy to clean them. They clean up beautifully and hold their shape. The best brushes I have ever bought.

Amazon had these at a very good buy, I thought I bought a dozen or so sizes and types to replace some old stuff I had. This seems like this is my last review, buy it if you can afford it, GOOD STUFF
