Excellent customer service!
This thing was great for the first year. This brand was super highly rated by a bunch of different websites. I gave it a go. The mat is a little thick, however that was fine for being at a standing desk. After a while there was about 2 spots where the top of the mat was starting to break at the seams. I have tried registering for the warranty to try to get it replaced. I had trouble with their warranty on their website, I had to severely tape it a third time. UPDATE 3/3/17: Kelsey responded to my review & was more than helpful in getting me a replacement. I have just received my replacement and I am a happy guy once more.

Best kitchen mat I've tried
It seems that every year I'm buying a new mat for the kitchen sink. I've had some that kept slipping away, some that collected all the dust in the house, some that just got too many stains. I was skeptical about spending so much on a mat but took a chance and trusted the reviews. I ordered this in Cinnamon hoping for a slightly more red color than I got. The color is fine, it's brown but nice enough. I laid it out and left it overnight to "unroll" a bit more. Here's what I love, it disappears in the kitchen. I mean you forget it's there. I don't spend time pushing it back in place or always having to vacuum it. If it gets spilled on, I wipe it up and voila!, good as new. It is very comfortable to stand on, it's not like a day at the spa or anything but I notice that I don't have any discomfort. My feet don't get sore or tired and I don't find myself shifting my weight from foot to foot trying to stay at ease. In my opinion, it's well worth the investment. It comes with a 7 year warranty which to me means that it should last at least that long. It seems well made so I expect it will last at least that long. That's less than $10 per year which is already less than I've been spending on all my cheapo mats. I would love to see it in more vibrant colors but the fact that it just blends into the kitchen is growing on me. It's nice not notice it because to me, it means that it's not having the same problems we've had with lesser quality mats. If you're on the fence, I can confidently suggest you go ahead and try it. I am, in fact, ordering a 2nd to place in the laundry room which is where I spend the rest of my time once the dishes are done. ;)

A long-lasting, quality product that fills a need I didn't even know I had
A product that virtually everyone should buy. Most households have at least one person who cooks. And if you are that cook, you are going to be standing on your feet. A lot. On a hard floor. I don't know why I hadn't heard of these comfort mats sooner, because they are a simple, elegant, and brilliant idea. Between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I figure I am in the kitchen an hour or two every day. At least half of that time is spent relatively stationary, either in front of the stove or at a counter doing prep work (cutting, chopping, rinsing, etc). If that rings even a little true for you, and you'd like that time to be more comfortable, get this mat. The mats come in a variety of colors and sizes so they should fit in most kitchens. This one looks nice, it has a simple elegance that you don't get with a more cheaply made product. I could see its style working in a variety of kitchens, from rustic to modern. It wipes up easily if you spill something on it, is waterproof, and, after five years of continuous use, has stood up to numerous people and pets walking on it while still retaining its cushioning ability. If I stand on this mat a half hour a day, every day, and have had it for almost five years, that means I've stood on this mat for around 900 hours. How many products can you say have that kind of longevity? Do yourself a favor and buy this mat; you won't regret it.

I Ain't No Mat Rat, But This Mat Is PHAT!!
5 stars. Well constructed, true to size (we ordered 20"X72" at an incredible $51 price). Using it as a floor protector for sink/dishwasher and food prep counter area in kitchen. We could care less about the "comfort" aspect as we usually don't spend more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time on it unless we are really prepping food for a large meal. Still, it's comfortable foam. Comes rolled up and wrapped in plastic. Took the plastic off, unrolled it, laid it on floor and put 4 heavy books on each corner for 30 mins or so. Removed the books and lays perfectly flat. No trip hazards that we can find, and cleans up easily. Never bothered reading the negative reviews because, well, it's a friggin' mat. When I see 91% four and five star reviews out of 1500 who aren't' bribed into trying it like so many other products here, I pay attention. You won't be disappointed with this mat unless you are disappointed with everything else in life as a general rule. Worst case? Return it.

Very cushiony and easy to move
We bought this one and another one that isn't as soft and they both have their place. This one is great for the kitchen or standing desk where you are going to remain primarily in a single spot for a while, it feels like a memory foam pillow for your feet. For a work room or other location where you will also be walking around it might be a bit thick and tripping hazard. It doesn't have a large footprint so it is primarily for one station and one person to use at a time. All that being said I love it for kitchen and then when I'm working I move it to my standing desk area. It's light and easy to move making that a breeze. Even though it is light it stays in one place and wont slide. It's super easy to clean with wet rag, but don't get it too wet underneath as it will absorb the water. It has a slight pattern to it which makes it nice enough to display in the home, not like some of the industrial ones that you'd hide when company comes over or relegate to the basement. There is some off-gassing when you first open it, so leave it outside for a day until the smell is gone (but don't let rain soak it).

4 1/2 years and still looks brand-new!
Long-lasting, amazing Mat! I've had this mat for 4 1/2 years, and it's been wonderful. I got some of the cheaper ones from a home improvement store, and the edges are fraying and there are parts of them that are flat now , even though they are newer. The only problem I've had in 4 1/2 years is when I accidentally got a piece of glass stuck in the underside. I was able to use super glue and a piece of paper towel to plug the hole, and it's been working marvelously. It still looks brand-new even though it's this old, and it's easy to wipe clean. The top we've has no real ridges, so it wipes just fine. I understand they've even improved the edges, and I never had a problem with those in the first place. Would recommend to anyone.

100% Recommend!
These are the BEST kitchen mats I've had! They were slightly less expensive than the other options but still great quality. The only complaint I have is that one of the mats has a permanent crease on it. It wasn't an issue for me, but I can see how it would bother others. They are very comfortable to stand on and the perfect color/pattern for our kitchen. We haven't had any issues with the corners rolling up as others have mentioned. I've recommended this to friends and family, and will buy more I the future!

Thank you, reviewers, for all the fabulous evolutionary comments! In August 2016, this mat is now great!
What a great mat! After reading through literally years of reviews and the evolution of this mat, from a poorly aligned side seam and wrinkles to the hopefully improved design, I'm very pleased to report that my mat is fantastic in every possible way. It laid flat on the floor soon upon its arrival, and after several weeks of use, no corners are curling upward, and there are no wrinkles! There have never been any wrinkles. The packaging was extremely well done. I paid close attention to the packaging after reading the wild and crazy reviews from the mat's early years-- the mat was snugly and carefully rolled around a large diameter, hard cardboard tube, then well sealed by strong cellophane. I was actually quite impressed by the care taken to package this mat so adeptly.

So far, I love it!
I needed something to make standing for 4+ hours at a time more tolerable. I ordered the 20x36 mocha mat based on the most recent reviews. In the month that I've used it, I've fallen in LOVE with this mat. It makes it so much easier on my back, legs, and feet when standing for long periods. It's easy to clean, which is a must since I do a lot of canning and cooking. I don't find it to be a tripping hazard, and the edges don't roll or flip over. It's nice and thick. It was shipped flat in a long box, so I didn't have any of the creasing issues others have mentioned. My only complaint would be the color, but the tile in our new house is a strange red/orange color that doesn't go with anything. Since it's on the floor it's not really a priority what it looks like. I'm thinking about getting another one for working on the other side of the kitchen, but want to wait to see if it's still in the same good shape in 6 months or so.

better than expected - even better than gel!
splurged for this mat for the spouse's birthday - totally worth it. was debating between this mat and a more expensive gel mat (you probably know which brand i'm talking about if you're reading this review), and went with this one since there was so many positive reviews and it's more than twice the size of the gel mat for the same price (or less?). coincidentally, my mother in law got the gel mat as a gift within the same month or two. now, it's been over a year, and our mat has held out longer than hers - with about the same amount of use. we put ours in front of the sink/prep area. she has hers in front of the sink. every time we step onto ours, you can feel the relief in knees and back (i'm not exaggerating. it's like it relieves discomfort we didn't know we had. sometimes we step on and off just for fun. dorks, i know.). stepped onto hers last week... my feet felt better, but that's about it. you could feel the hard ground underneath the gel. only a year and the gel is less... fluffy? our is going strong. it's like memory foam, but sturdier and supports you the whole time you're standing there. btw, we're in our 30s, without any major joint/back issues, just the regular stuff that comes with sitting at a desk too much and not being careful with posture. i have lower back pain and using this mat makes it so much easier for both of us to prep and clean without my lower back stiffening up! easy to clean. love the mocha color, which is almost exactly as pictured. matches our beige floor. as featured in previous reviews, the edges do NOT curl up or anything, so no tripping hazard here. we really appreciate our mat... and i am so glad i didn't go with the gel!!
