I have now used this several times, and wonder why it took me so long to get a salad spinner. This one works great, and my lettuce is very dry afterwards. I love it! I saw a similar one at Aldi's for a much cheaper price, but it was quite a bit smaller - I am so glad I got this one instead! It is large enough to do a large batch of lettuce in a couple of batches. The smaller one would have been way too small.

I had a salad spinner a couple of years ago that was more annoying than helpful, so I got rid of it. I am trying to get better about washing and prepping produce when I get home from buying it so that I'm more likely to use it and it's less likely to go bad. I decided to give a salad spinner a try again. It was a smart move. This one is a huge improvement over the last one I tried. The hole for washing and draining is more useful than I expected it to be. Just be careful how much water you put in and how vigorously you spin because it will come out the top. I have two small children (ages 4 and 6) who I am trying to get more involved in kitchen work/life skills. They really have fun using this spinner, so after I wash and drain, it is their job to spin the produce dry. Getting them involved also makes them more interested in the foods and eager to try it out. By prepping it ahead this way, I am also able to have produce washed and ready in the fridge for them to help themselves to through out the day. Sometimes, we also ask Alexa to tell us facts about whatever we are spinning. "Alexa, please tell me a fact about spinach" or "Alexa, how are blueberries grown?" "Alexa, what are some popular recipes using cilantro?" We are homeschoolers, so it makes for a nice mini-lesson while we are just going about our necessary life activities. As for size, I was able to get a small head of green leaf lettuce, chopped, into it at once. It's not huge, but for one or two adults, it should be fine. Even though it has a non-skid base, you still need to hold the bowl sturdy. There is a lot of shaking as it spins. My kids compare it to an earthquake. The whole table feels the vibration. Also, think outside of lettuce for what you can use it for. Not only can you spin your greens, but you can also spin herbs, berries, pasta, beans, etc. I have even read of people using salad spinners to wash delicate laundry and soft children's toys. The bowl is plastic and doesn't feel very heavy duty, so I'd just recommend using a bit of caution in deciding what you will spin in there.

Mine arrived with a crack in the bowl, so I contacted cuisinart. They sent me a replacement. I love it! It works well. It’s easy to use. And it’s my favorite color, so I’m happy with that too. No more pressing wet lettuce in a towel to dry it. Makes salad much easier to prepare.

I held off on buying this for years thinking I wouldn’t use it. I’ve gotten tired of using napkins to dry lettuce so finally purchased this. I love it. Lettuce comes out so crisp and lasts a full week after using this. Before lettuce would not keep more than a day very impressive. Plus finding out you can wash lettuce in this was a big plus!

I purchased this to replace a salad spinner that I gave away. I love this spinner. I love that you can fill and drain the water with the lid in place. The crank handle gives better spin control than I had with my previous spinner.

I actually don't use this salad spinner for lettuce. I saw a Facebook hack on using salad spinners to wash your bras. After years of hand washing my bras (my washing machine bent the underwire) this is a lifesaver!!! The top locks with a simple click. And it has a water refill/empty hole to make cleaning easy! The top won't fly off--bonus! I can empty the water without taking the top off--bonus! I can fill it with water WHILE spinning--bonus!!!

I stayed at a friends house and she had one. After trying it I went out and got one. Works great and because the water is spun off the lettuce last longer. The clear part of the bowl can be used to serve the salad. I also use this with organic vegetable cleaner.

I am 28 years old and never used a salad spinner before. I work on a farm now and have access to lots of lettuce so figured I'd invest in one. (Aka, asked my sister to buy one for me since I'm broke.) This thing is amazing and I now wonder how my 28years of salad experience would've been different if I had this from the get-go. The spinner is very efficient in the little time it takes to wring out the water and easily pours out. It's pretty sweet and I highly recommend. It's well made and seems durable. If we take care of it enough, it may jus become a family heirloom :)

This is a great spinner. Love they opening to pour water in, spin and drain water without lifting top on and off. Stores lettuce after washing.

Perfect salad spinner. I use if for leafy greens as well as other vegetables like broccoli and mushrooms, also to strain room temperature foods (beans, corn, etc.) to remove as much liquid as possible. It spins very smoothly, the locking clamps are incredibly helpful for large quantities.
