We had a chopper for smaller amounts (e.g., a clove or two of garlic) that worked wonderfully in connection with hand blender. Then the company inexplicably changed the product and the replacement - and all others we have tried since - seem to have been designed by people who never use them, with ribs that do nothing but make it harder to get things out, etc. This chopper is a winner, no electricity required, no ribs so easy to get chopped food out, easy to assemble, and to disassemble for dishwasher - we love it!

This is exactly as pictured and described! I love than I can put it in the dishwasher to clean it. The only reason it lost a star is because the blade is not removable. I wish there was a way I could remove it for cleaning purposes but it does seem to clean nicely in the dishwasher. I find myself using this for everything!

I have a plastic chopper that I have owned for the past 20 years. It was falling apart so I replaced it with the sturdier metal one. I had absolutely no problem with the plastic one but it just was wearing out. I expect the metal one to last my lifetime.

This is a really nice chopper for the price. You can take everything apart to clean it but it's still a little difficult as food goes up into the apparatus and you have to dig it out. But it's lasted a while and cut literally anything.

Seems to be way more sturdy than the ones I buy at the big box stores. I've had a few of those, and they always break. This one seems to be more durable. And it's a must have in the kitchen!

I love my chopper. This is easy to wash and durable. Chops perfectly. I have to use it frequently to chop up things in tiny pieces like onions and peppers. My family doesn’t like large chunks, so far it has worked great!

Love this thing. It's exactly what I would expect out of a chopper. You can only put maybe half an onion in at a time but it still saves tons of time. The blade did stop rotating after a few months of use but I just slap down and do a quarter turn repeatedly. The lack of blade turning doesn't prevent this product from being useful. Been using it about 2 years now. Cannot complain.

I had another brand of a product similar to this; it was satisfactory. The Cuisinart version, however, is far superior. This one works really well just chopping on a board. Cuts are even and it makes quite quick work of onions, garlic, even celery. As for cleaning - easy peasy. I disassemble and put it in the dishwasher.

I was at a girlfriends house for a cooking party. The chef there used a name brand chopper to prepare the meals we ate and I really wanted it but didn't want to pay $40!!! I decided to search on good old amazing and up popped the Cuisinart chopper. Well naturally the day it arrived I went on a chopping spree!!! I chopped garlic, carrots, onions and celery. All of them chopped with ease. My daughter actually helped me chop and prepare diner twice since I recieved it!!! She loves to use the chopper and I love that she's helping me! You can chop with or without out the platform on. I like to chop without the platform I just chop on my cutting board and it's only e less thing to clean. For the price you can't get any better!

I was looking to replace my 20 year old Pampered Chef chopper (it broke). I looked at Pampered Chef's newer chopper and found it looked cheaply made and came across this one. Pampered Chef's chopper is $35! I was thrilled when I received this. I was even more thrilled when I used it the first time. It is VERY well made and so easy to use. I wish it would open fully for easier clean-up, but it's not that big of a deal. I highly recommend this item.
