Using to store extra breastmilk and it works great. Twist the tray to loosen the sticks and then push on one end to lever the sticks out. Each stick is about 0.5 ounces. Cheaper than the milkies ice tray.

Do you feel the need to research even the smallest purchases before you commit? Well then, this is the review for you because I spent a solid hour researching ice cube trays upon moving into my new apartment. Amazon reviewers, you've done it again! This ice cube tray is as awesome as it is blue and white (hint: VERY). I have owned this ice cube tray for approximately 4 months and I have loved every day we've had together. I've considered inviting people into my home and offering them a glass of water just so they can watch in awe as I peel back the silicon top and cool the crap out of their drink. The ice cubes taste like fresh ice and the name does not lie -- these ice cubes DO NOT SPILL. I sometimes turn it upside down in my freezer just to spice things up.

I've been using two of these trays for over a year and just ordered two more. They are really nice to use and I like that the ice cubes will fit into a bottle of water, soda, or whatever. The trays have a groove around the edge which catches extra water if you overfill. The plastic cover prevents spilling if you press it down after the tray is filled. You can stack them and you can also put other things on top because they have a cover. The only thing I have a problem with is that sometimes the ice cubes stick to the plastic cover and must be brushed off with your fingers. Also, I have found that after many uses they do pick up that freezer smell and need to washed with soapy water to remove the odor. No biggie though, as I really do like these and feel that they are superior to most of the other trays available. Highly recommended if you need ice cubes which will fit in bottles with small necks.

I needed to be able to make almond milk "ice cubes" for smoothies. These cubes are a nice size for that purpose. I have to give the tray a little twist to break them loose, but then they slide right out. We have a bottom drawer freezer without an ice maker, so trays have to go on top of whatever is in there. And the drawer sticks a little, so the tray would be jostled when closing the drawer which was a problem with regular trays. I have not had any leaks or spills or difficulty removing the cover when it isn't entirely flat. Note, I am able to put it in "mostly" flat and don't feel the need to challenge it with extreme angles. It is a little longer and wider than one would typically like, but it is more shallow. The features I gain (no mess) makes the size tolerable for my case.

Outstanding! But, buy at least two. There are 12 perfectly boat shaped cubes. We bought the Swell thermos in both the bike and day-large sizes. We found using the cold Brita pitcher water from the frig and 4 to 6 cubes to last all day and what treat too as the super cold water is so refreshing in the summer. The stainless steel mouth piece of the Swell bottles tempers the brain 'lip-touch' so you dont think its too cold. We found for two people, we needed two trays. One is cooling ice while we consume from the other solid tray. Example: So you end up using one of the trays' on alternate days.

this product works excellent as long as you follow these steps : 1) hot liquid freezes faster than cold, makes ice clear, and COMES OUT WHOLE 2) fill the tray so that each slot is completely full to the point of being slightly too full. as they freeze, each cube will expand giving you a little ridge to lift them out of the tray you will have clear whole tubes

I never thought much of ice cube trays until we moved into a new apartment and it didn't have any in the freezer. Usually, there's an ice maker or generic ice cube trays so I never gave it much thought until I had to buy new ones on my own. I'm the type of person who likes to research things before I purchase them and I want the best value taking into account functionality, price & other factors. Yes, this is rather expensive for ice trays...I mean I never thought I was going to spend $20 on ice cube trays. I recommend 2, 1 tray isn't enough, you'll constantly be refilling and waiting. 2 is more functional. I never thought about he design of ice cube shapes until I got this thing. The way the cubes are shaped, it makes it easy to push out. You push on one end of the ice cube and it slides out, brilliant! With square or rectangle cubes, it's hard to get out. I hate ice cubes that smell, it can make your drink taste funny. That problem is solved with the cover, who wants dirty ice cubes anyway? It's easy to wash and dishwasher safe. I put mine the top shelf and that's it. Although it's more than I wanted to pay for ice cube trays, it's worth the splurge.

This is the best ice cube tray there is, i did a stupid amount of research and testing to find this, stupid because well.. its just an ice cube tray. It works better than they describe it, you fill it with water, swipe your hand accross to get out the excess and the lid is sealed, very well. you can put it in your freezer sideways, carry it upsidedown, whatever. afterwards, the ice is super easy to get out, you twist it once, and then since they are a half moon shape, you press one side of the ones you want out and they slide out. The other reviewer maybe forgot to crack them first. plastic is high quality, my freezer is set much colder than average to keep booze cold, and the plastic stays flexible and not brittle. I don't write reviews, but just buy this freakin thing already (and some of the freds silicone ice cube molds, they rock)

I'm a littttttle tempted to give it 4 stars after using it for green tea ice cubes. Regular ice cubes it worked like magic. A quick, small bend of the try and they all came out with minimal effort. I was very skeptical, but OXO usually knows what they're doing. However, this was not the case with the green tea ice cubes. They were VERY difficult to remove and the try was more of a pain to clean than I expected. It is a little bit messy trying to drain it (hence the instructions saying everything needs to be done over a sink), but more than worth it to me for an ice cube tray I don't have to leave perfectly flat (I lifted it upside down and it still held the water in) and doesn't seem to pick up the freezer smell/taste all the previous trays did. Still planning to try some coffee ice cubes, hopefully those will go more like the water ones.

I'm a person who like a lot of ice. And I love this particular half-moon shape of ice. I don't know what it is - maybe it's the fact that my parents never found those refrigerators with the built-in water/ice dispensers necessary? And at my friend's homes growing up I felt like everyone had them and you could just press a button - boom - so much ice in so little time. Amazing. I am in grad school, living off loans in the most affordable apartments possible. Those usually do not include refrigerators with ice makers. WAY too extravagant. WAY too boujee. But also, I'm a grad student, thus I thrive on the simple joys in life because my day-to-day is pretty monotonous and I'm poor. Cue this ice tray. It is easy to fill. Easy to get rid of excess water. And most importantly, easy to pop those ice cubes out once they're ready, which took a decade and more than a small amount of elbow grease/frozen fingers with the silicone ice cube trays I used to use. I have so much ice in my favorite shape for my iced coffees, water, whatever. I honestly feel stupid for getting this much joy out of a freakin' ice cube tray. But truthfully, it's wonderful.
