Vacation saver! Small enough for petite a toddler!

Imagine our concern when our toddler broke her arm 4 days before a scheduled family vacation to a water park. We ordered 3 different long arm cast covers as small as we could find - she wears 6-12mo clothes and weighs just under 19lbs - and this one was by far the best for fit and (lack of bulk). her sweet sensitive baby skin has had no irritation at the seal despite wearing it several hours each day and it definitely works! we are on day 3 of our trip and not a drop of water has touched that cast. this thing saved our vacation! SO THANKFUL.

It works!

This worked amazingly well. Our almost 2 yr old broke his arm and required a hard cast above the elbow. We of course also had our yearly vacation to the beach scheduled this past week. We ordered this on a whim hoping for the best and it performed better than could be expected. We still used the clear wrap press n seal at the opening of the cast at the shoulder area to do whatever we could to prevent sand/water from getting in, but it probably wasn't necessary. Our son tolerated it very well, the first time he didn't like it and i would say that the end is tapered pretty tight. Not so tight that he lost circulation, but plenty tight to prevent sand/water from entering. We didn't fully submerge him for the first few days, but by the end of the week he was getting tossed in the pool with his cousins lol. I wouldn't let the shoulder stay submerged under water, but it was certainly fine being "dunked" under. 5* and worth every penny.

Saved our summer and vacation!

Thank you to the creator of this thing! My little girl broke her arm right before we were to go on vacation. She is 2 1/2 and I didn't know how we would explain to her that she couldn't go swimming with her sister! But then I came across this magical arm sleeve! We were skeptical it wouldn't work but we tried it out in the bath first and sure enough the cast was dry! So off we went to Disney where she played and swam for hours (all weekend!) and went on the slides and her cast was DRY! (It takes a bit to get it over the cast but that's a good thing because it means it will be tight with a good seal. Roll it up kind of like a sock or pantyhose to get it all the way around the cast and that's it!) LOVE THIS THING! Thank you!

Amazing for Active Children in the Summer

My very active 5-year-old daughter broke both bones in her arm and will have to have this cast on for the entire summer - mind you, we have a pool in our backyard, a week-long beach vacation coming up and many pool parties/birthday parties, etc. So I had been researching what to do because I felt awful that she was going to have to miss out on so much. I scoured Amazon and read tons of waterproof cast reviews and until I came to Bloccs, I figured I'd give this thing a shot since the concept made sense to me the reviews were really good. We used this ALL weekend long for a birthday party with water activities as well as a pool party on Sunday and had no issues, she swam like normal (she's an avid swimmer) and the cast stayed dry! She didn't have to miss out on anything! Things to note: -She only has a wrist cast but this is full arm so we went with the 1-3-year-old size and it worked perfectly. -While it doesn't get the cast wet, her arm sweats in it because it's #9000 degrees in the south so I've been making sure to dry both inside and outside in order to keep any mold away this weekend. -I'm buying a second one just in case we need to double bag on the beach.

Game changer

This thing is amazing! My 5 yr old is in a full arm cast (bike+hill=cast) and this cover has made bath a breeze AND we still got to enjoy summer pool fun! My only advice- the cast got damp when I had her wear a short sleeve swim shirt which was rubbing against the cover and caused the cover to roll a bit and lose that suction. Make sure the end of the cover stays nice and flat against the skin. My daughter is a string bean so I went with the XS and it fits perfectly. We waited a week from the accident to use it because she was still tender and it is a bit tricky to get in the first time.

Amazing product!!!

We were AMAZED with this product. Our four-year-old broke her arm a week before our scheduled family vacation to the beach. I was really quite astonished to learn that there are not water-friendly casting options through one of the best orthopedic offices in our state. The NP told us they don't recommend the options through the doctors' offices because they are notorious for leaking and skin irritation. Soooo, to the internets I went, determined to find something that would allow our girl to have fun at one of her favorite places in the world. After reading the reviews left by others, this cast cover was praised far above the rest - and for good reason. Our girl spent every single day in the sand and ocean. Never once did it leak, peel back, incur damage, irritate her skin or lack in performance. She played hard in the sand and water everyday, twice a day, for 6 days, and this cast cover worked perfectly every single time. Her cast was always bone dry and not a single grain of sand slipped through. We were THRILLED! It works like a tight latex glove, so getting it over the cast was a bit of a chore -- but that may have been partly due to working with a toddler. After the first couple of times, no issues. Obviously, it is supposed to have a water-tight seal, so it should be fitted. Worth every penny. This product saved our vacation!

The doc told me to give my 4 year old BOY a sponge bath for 6 weeks in the dead heat of summer.😳 I panicked and immediately started researching solutions for him to still be able to bathe and swim—because the pool is what saved our summer during covid!! When I found this sleeve and read the reviews I decided to give it a try and I am SO glad that I did!!! It has seriously been the biggest blessing with his cast. We go swimming everyday and I get to actually fully bathe him (praise the Lord)!!! As far as sizing goes—I ordered a XS and S. My son is about 38lbs and is 4 years old. The XS fit perfectly so I didn’t even open the S. I think the biggest difference between the 2 Sizes are the length. The small would have been too long. So even though the XS is for ages 1-3, that’s what fit best. This product is so amazing that I didn’t even send back the size Small—I’m keeping it incase we have another broken arm in a few years!! Love this sleeve so much and cannot day enough good things about it. It’s easy to use & works perfectly. I truly can’t imagine not getting one. It saved our summer & my sons 6 weeks in his cast!!!

Worth the buy!

One week before my family and I were due for our cruise my toddler fractured her wrist 😑... I felt so bad and upset that she would miss out on all of the aqua activities... so I did research online... read other stories similar to mine... and found this product on amazon. The best thing ever! $35 well spent! My daughter was able to participate in all of the aqua activities... as well as a real bath😊... When we returned for her follow up visit the doctor was so surprised that it was still dry and not smelly! This thing works! Make sure you read sizing chart for recommendations. Great product!

saved our vacation

My daughter broke her arm before our beach vacation. we utilized this and it allowed her to swim while in an above the elbow cast. We have a pool and we were also able to go to the beach where she played in the sand, swam with her three brothers, met up with friends, and just all in all had a blast. She is pretty picky with textures, but she shared that the cover was comfortable, and she was able to safely wear it for several hours at a time without needing to take it off. I'm not sure I would use this for someone whose arm had just broken; we were three weeks in with some good healing already; the cover fits tightly and was kind of a pain to get on (which was expected) and I would have been concerned about using it right after a fracture, but three weeks in I felt it served our purpose very well.

saved his summer!!

My youngest (almost 4 when he broke his arm), was gearing up for a summer full of fun at the pool and visits to the beach and running through sprinklers. Thankfully this cast sleeve was found - it was a little tricky to get on at first, but you just fold it down like a sock, then pull up over his hand, then up onto his arm, and unfold it up past his upper arm cast and make sure it's snugly in place without pinching the skin under the arm. His cast never became wet, and it was truly a summer-saver!!! Thank you to whomever dreamt this up and had it made. Because of it, he was never slowed down by the cast and was always diligent about remembering his "blue thing" before splashing in.
