These aren't for ballroom dancing
I expected at least a week of discomfort from a pair of new work boots. The first two days in these were a little rough but by day 3 they were surprisingly feeling pretty good. Now they're comfy as hell, tough as nails, and they look pretty awesome. Just 3 days into owning these boots I dropped a 300lb generator and thought it missed my foot completely. When I tried to move I found out that the generator was sitting nicely on top of my steel toe. Barely a scratch on the boot.

Excellent boots, great construction, real leather, comfortable, and they look nice too!
I bought these for my hubby. He is a licensed plumber and HVAC certified tech, and is on his feet all day(and sometimes in the rafters lol), so he needs a solid pair of boots. These were a steal for just under $70. He loves them! He usually wears an 11.5 and these size 11.5 fit perfect. His foot is 29.5 centimeters. The size chart is accurate, so measure your foot! He usually gets tan color, but that color, same boot, was $20 more, so he settled for dark brown color. Well when he opened the box he was pleasantly surprised to find they look much better in person, not to mention they are pre-oiled so they won't stain. He had timberland pros and he likes these much better! Says they are super comfy. I must admit I'm really digging the dark brown leather much more than the tan, it looks good on him! They look expensive and have such a sharp, clean look. I will definitely be purchasing these again for him. Can you say quality? They're high quality! Better than timberland and craftsman, which are the two other brands he's had (and many pairs of them!). They seem to only last him 5-6 months and it's time for a new pair, but these are holding up great and I think he will get more wear out of these boots than he normally does. One thing I want to add is that these boots have a steel toe. Which is fine for spring, summer, and autumn seasons, but come winter he goes with either a fiberglass toe or soft boot, because the steel gets really cold! We live in Massachusetts and the winters can be brutal when you work in unheated construction, so cold toes is a no-no. Lol! Come winter we will check out Catepillar brand boots that don't have the steel toe. Great buy, high quality, definitely recommend.

Good boots at a good price, simple as that
1 month of daily automotive shop use, what I can say so far: For the price I wasn't expecting too much. At one month of usage though I can say these boots are not the only boots to consider at any price, but they are definitely exceeding my expectations for the price. Pros: Real leather - looks good and smells good Cloth insole - removable! Lightweight - big boots but not too clunky Flexible - suprisingly forgiving for steel toes and thick soles. Not impossible to drive an unfamiliar manual car with these on Grippy - not slip-proof but definitely very resistant. Oil swipes right off after a few steps on clean ground Chunky soles - most likely pretty decent on dirt and dusty unfinished floors Cons: Leather seems "unfinished" on the exterior, if that is the right word. All I mean is that the leather is very soft and a bit fragile. I already have leather tearing away from the steel toe. I wish I had buffed the leather a bit before wearing them out, as that may have added a few months of life to them. If possible I will update the review for long term use, greater than 6 months. But so far the boots are holding up well and are very comfortable and practical.

for this money i dont t think u can find any better.
So here is the math. I work in Cruise ship as A butcher. I work 12-13 h A day, every day with no day off. My pedometer says i make about 25 000 steps or 18 km per day. Which says that in one month i walk 540 km in these boots, in cold, wet enviorment and constantly dropping something on my feet. I kick with these shoes, i push , i practicaly use them as my 3rd hand ( check the photo, tips are peeled) and after all this time these shoes did not budge an inch. I am heavy guy, 120 kg, i wear size 14. Trust me, i cant name any other shoes that cant endure this amount of stress. That being said they have down side which is more than important! Dont trust these shoes when ur walking over oily or wet surfaces. Specialy if the ground is steel! They have practicaly no slip protection! I know they write they have... But they dont! Honest review here! U trade extra endurance and commfort for abit of safety. Anyhow.. for this money i dont t think u can find any better.

Great outside work boot
I needed a good steel toe work boot to wear outside in the elements all year around. I live in Chicago and work outside at O'Hare Air Port. I've only had them for just over a month but can say they are worth the money. These are not winter boots, but can be warn in cold weather, if wearing thick wool socks and using foot warmers. Pros - Very comfortable once you break them in. - Nice looking and goes with everything - Steel toe - Has a removable soft sole insert - Heavy duty stitching - Thick leather body thats flexible and doesn't crack - Holds in heat when needed and allows heat to escape to prevent feet from sweating - Heavy in weight, which equals to a well made boot - Water resistant Cons - Don't have any for now -

CAT Quality In Work Boots
So far so good. I work commercial demolition and I go through boots like no tomorrow. I am constantly walking on rubble concrete, brick, metal, mud, dirt, really anything you can think of. I am always needing to use the steel toe to kick something. Cutting with a demo saw, cutting with oxy acetylene, stick welding, concrete work and a lot more abuse. Just wanted to givce you an idea of the abuse that these boots get daily, and so far they have held up way better than I expected. I ate up the original laces in about 1 week and had to buy better ones but other than that they look alright. The first day I got them they looked amazing, I kept getting compliments about how nice they looked, too nice for work almost lol. As soon as I put them on they fit and felt pretty good. If you buy these I highly highly recommend buying some Dr. Scholls work insoles . So basically what I'm trying to say is if you need a good pair of nice work boots that are going to work with you not against you and don't want to spend 3 days pay on a pair of boots, I highly recommend you purchase these boots.

After the first pair was smaller than my size, I went up one size and bingo!
This pair of boots was purchased for work and needs to be waterproof. It’s sad that every shoe manufacturer can’t agree on what standard of sizing means. It has been a pet peave of mine that regardless who makes the boot, I still have to try the boots before I get the right size! Standard sizing does not work for any shoe or boot for me anymore. I have to try on the pair regardless who makes it. Suffice it to say, it isn’t Amazon’s fault your size ordered does not fit. It is all about the style of your boots or shoes. No standard sizing is in place. The size you need is all your foot’s actual size and how each this manufacture sizes that style. On average, street shoes are the size they say, mostly, but there are always exceptions. Do yourself a favor. Take advantage of the try before you buy option Amazon offers. It’s worth it if you are uncertain. Had this been offered on this boot, I would have gladly taken them up on it. As for these boots, I had to go up a whole size to get the fit right. Not the end of the world for sure, but I wish I knew how to size these ahead of time. This pair fits so I am very happy. That is really what matters and if they last like the other pair of this same boot, even better!

Went strong for three years long.
This is my third pair of these boots. The last pair lasted three years. It wasn’t until this last 2 months that they finally fell apart. The picture is a photo of the three year old pair next to the new pair. I’m by no means soft on my boots.

Worn them for almost two years. Laces finally gave.
I like how Amazon tells you the last time you ordered a specific item. I purchased these back in June 2016. First time I tried Cat shoes and fell in love with them. I was a Timberland Pro Series guy before. I decided it's time to replace them now in April 2018. Shoes are still intact but I finally destroyed the laces. Tells you how well these hold up. Could just replace laces but decided to take advantage of my work's shoe policy. I switch becase the my old Timberland Pro didn't provide the traction (indoor manufacturing) and the arch location seemed odd. The switch fixed both issues.

Solid Work Boot
Over the last 4 years these boots have seen me through disaster remediation work, handyman jobs, moving gigs, electrical work, carpentry, working at a salvage yard, and logging. I have rested furniture and sheet metal on the steel toe and still haven't busted through the leather. The only issue I've had is that the crease where the steel toe starts has begun to crack so badly that water seeps in while working in rain or snow. This is the only problem I've encountered after 4 years of wearing these daily (I started to notice the water issue during the 3rd winter). The soles still have a solid 1/2" of tread left. I treat these each month or two with Obenauf's LP Boot Preservative 8 oz - Preserves and Protects Leather - Made in the US. I credit a great deal of the longevity of these boots to this product. All this to say so long as they keep the build quality consistent I will continue wearing these boots as long as I am able to work. I am just now buying my second pair and felt the need to share my experience thus far.
