Excellent, well engineered pedal.

Just realized I have the accelerator model. Excellent, quiet pedal. DW includes ball bearings in the base, heal pivot point making the pedal both fast and quiet. The build quality is very high and the design is no non sense. Attention to detail is evident, for example the lower spring has a well engineered pivot point that minimizes spring wear. Highly recommended.

Solid, smooth, and simple!

I upgraded (side-graded?) from a Pearl Eliminator, which I'd been using for the better part of a decade, because I found all of the endless tweaking options with it's interchangeable cams to be tedious and frankly was just looking for a change. The DW5000 was refreshing in it's simplicity. It's smooth and responsive. A nice perk is that the hoop clip has little rubber feet so that it doesn't scratch up the hoop of your kick drum (unlike the Eliminator).

Smooth Quiet Action

What I love best is the silence of the motion. I have other peddles that squeak and that annoys me because it muddies the ability to judge the precision of my beat. The action is natural, makes me feel connected to the drum.
