Finally!
Finally, a code reader that’s easy and versatile! I like that it clearly states what the problem is without having to look up codes in the manual or online. Also, a huge plus is that it was able to shut off he annoying SRS light that would not go away no matter what I did. After a while I covered it with a black sticker because it stayed on. The sticker is finally gone!!! Highly recommended!

Useful product
I didn’t wanna pay much on this kind of tool, so I chose this one based on its reasonable price and a few features. Now the fact proves that it’s really worthwhile! It’s capable of working on many different brands cars like 2012 Fiat 500 POP, 2002 Ford Explorer XLT and 2006 Audi A4. Only plug it on my vehicle, all I need to do is to press the buttons and analyze the data it shows me. And determine if there is need to have car served at auto service center or I can get it done on my own. On the other hand, if there is something I can’t fix, I will print the data via PC and then consult my friends for professional tips. Its smog check factor is what I usually need. Where I live in has required an emission test for vehicle, so it has to get that information to ensure there is no problems which may cause emission problems and if so I would be fined. Since then, it helps me get rid of serious fines. There is no issue with this gadget at all. It helped me understand what’s wrong with my car, and it tells me if I need to go to a mechanic. If so, I can tell them outright what the problem is without needing to figure it out for a long while. It’s a good tool to help you make detection on your vehicle and enhance your vehicle safety as well as your security.

All Around Awesome
Excellent small code scanner. I reset BOTH of the annoying check engine lights on my 2011 Wrangler and my wife's 2012 Liberty cause by the gas caps being loose. It not only gives you the code, but it has the description of what the issue is given right under the code and adds "very small leak" to indicate the level of seriousness. It also reminds you to turn off the engine in order to reset the check engine light. All around awesome tool!

Great product
I used it to diagnose the problems on my daughters Nissan Maxima. It showed two codes. One for a bad camshaft position sensor and one for a misfire on cylinder 3. I replaced the sensor and the #3 cylinder coil pack. Car runs great now. It's very simple to operate. It's worth every penny. I also bought the five foot extension cable for it. I can stand up outside of the car and run scans.

Great Scanner, worth the $30!
Hello all, I was getting annoyed by the fact that I had to constantly go to AutoZone or PepBoys in order to find out why the Check Engine Light (CEL) was on. Sometimes they would even charge me to do so So I went ahead and did my research on which one I should buy. I was looking for a scanner that would be able to read ALL vehicles that has OBD II, ability to tell me that code and what the code means, and the ability to clear it. This scanner did all of that and I'm very happy with my purchase. Here are some things that I did soon as I got the device in the mail. I downloaded the program form their website (Maxi-Link v1.04) in order to update it to it's latest firmware, plugged it in with the provided USB cable, followed the steps and it was up to date! And to my surprise they even had a DTC Lookup manual in their program in case you forgot what the code description was or if someone knew the code but didn't know what it means, this was extremely handy to have. It had P0, P2, P3, U0 and U3 within the DTC lookup, codes with P1, P3, and U1 you would have to do research as they are manufacturer specific. Another neat feature is that this scanner allows you to view freeze frame data and the I/M Monitor is very useful also. The LED screen is very nice to have as some scanner don't even have a lit screen, even more expensive ones doesn't sometime. But I only wish the buttons like ENTER/Exit and Scroll were lit also but it's not something that I would knock off a star for. As I said before, I did a lot of research so here are some reasons why I chose this product over the others. BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices - I had friends and family that had bluetooth scanners and they all had some type of bad experience with them. This didn't make me not want to buy one however, I didn't buy it because of the fact that I had to use an app off the phone or tablet and I personally hate scanners like that. Oxgord CAN OBD II Scanner Tool for Check Engine Light & Diagnostics, Direct Scan and Read Out - It was very small and compact, but it only told you the code with no description, you would have to remeber the code or write it down and do your own research. Also, it only has a small screen and I felt as if that it would be hard to navigate through the screen if I need to. Lastly, PepBoys in my neighborhood, used this in order to tell you what code pops up, and it was unable to read both my Audi and BMW. I read others say it was working on theirs but I saw it with my own eyes that it wasn't working and I knew I didn't want this product. BlueDriver Bluetooth Professional OBDII Scan Tool for iPhone, iPad & Android - Same reason as the first product above (BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android Devices) Car WIFI OBD 2 OBD2 OBDII Scan Tool Foseal Scanner Adapter Check Engine Diagnostic Tool for iOS & Android - Same reason as above. Autel MaxiScan MS300 CAN Diagnostic Scan Tool for OBDII Vehicles - Same company as the product I'm reviewing but the fact that the screen was small, I was willing to pay the extra $15 to have a nice lit bigger screen with more features as well. Cars tested with: 2011 Audi A4 2,0T - working 2011 BMW 328xi - working 1999 Toyota 4 Runner Limited - working 2006 Nissan Altima - working 1997 Mitsubishi Outlander - working

Wow, it actually worked! It found the problem and reset my SRS warning light!
Wow, it actually worked! I had my SRS warning indicator come on my 2010 E350 Mercedes and called the MB service department. They said bring it in and we'll do a diagnostic for $189.00 I did a little research on Google and found that you there are OBD2 scanners that will run diagnostics on the SRS system (and ABS), give reason codes and are capable of resetting SRS error codes. I found the ML619 on Amazon when I did a search for my car and SRS reset capable OBD2 scanners and the ML619 popped up. I purchased on Amazon skeptically I must say. Once received I hooked up the scanner, viewed the error code. The scanner indicated a Pelvis airbag, left front, had high resistance. Based on some more internet searching I replugged the yellow connector under the driver seat, reset the error codes and to my amazement it fixed the problem!! Its been two weeks now and all is great. I also hooked it up to my son's car to see if it had anything. It called out low brake fluid. So I checked under the hood and sure enough it was about 1/2 too low. This thing is awesome. Also, I would recommend getting one of these prior to purchasing ANY car. Now you will be able to check for errors, pending errors or permanent errors.

I knew I found a good mechanic.
Has worked well when the check engine light comes on. I had an issue with my coolant thermostat and was able to diagnose it before visiting the mechanic through the web with the code I got and the symptoms I had. I wanted to see if the new mechanic place was going to be honest (I just moved to a new state), so I didn't say anything about it except the check engine light went on. The mechanic told me that was the issue and nothing else, I knew I found a good mechanic.

Essential Tool for Car Maintenance
Autel AutoLink AL319 OBD2 Scanner Automotive Engine Fault Code Reader CAN Scan Tool The Autel AutoLink AL319 OBD2 Scanner is a great tool. Right out of the box, I performed the necessary updates that took a couple of minutes and I was ready to go. I got this tool because I stopped by a local Autozone after my check engine light came on. Although I found and corrected the problem on spot (misfiring ignition coil), I was told they cannot clear the fault code to turn off the check engine light; perhaps they aren't allowed to turn off the check engine light because it might be a liability issue. I called around and some shops wanted to charge me upwards of $20 to simply clear the code. Luckily, I had a friend who introduced me to this nifty tool and let me use it to clear my the fault code. At first, I tried rationalizing purchasing this item because I'm not really a gear head, so I figured its use would be wasted on me seeing as I would most likely use this once in a while. But then I learned that it can work on a number of vehicles and would most likely be one of the tools that would be great to have at my disposal in the event I need it. For a little over $30, this is a must have tool. Its light and portable, and shouldn't take up too much space. Out of the box, after I updated it, I put it to use. The construction feels kinda cheap so I wouldn't imagine it lasting very long if your the type not to take care of your stuff; I say this for the messy types that just chuck tools in a random box. The buttons are pretty straight forward and you can perform checks within the scanner to verify operation of the buttons and LED's. At first glance, I thought I got a broken scanner because some of the pins were missing on the data link connector. Then after trying it, I realized the manufacture probably left these pins purposely depopulated to save money and keep cost low since you can maintain the same operation with them missing. Overall, great tool. A tool this capable at this price is a bargain. This scanner appeals to the novice and the mechanic and is a must for any car maintenance repair

Works Great!
My 2012 Suzuki Equator had the passenger seatbelt light come on after a dead battery. The dealer claimed I needed to bring the vehicle in to their shop to get that reset. I have used OBD2 scanners for years but my scanner at the time didn't look at SRS codes. After doing some internet searches I found this Autel MaxiLink 619 with some good reviews. It wouldn't break the bank either. It didn't take long and when my scanner arrived I checked for updates and took it right out to my truck. It found the problem and I reset the light without any issues. This unit has a home in my toolbox!

with the brightly lit colored coded LED screen it is easy to read
All of us have been driving down the road and had our check engine light comes on. First thing we do is start panicking about what is wrong and what is it going to cost. Then comes the who do I take my vehicle too and we keep driving hoping the light we go off. With the OBD2 scanner automotive engine tool we can breathe a sigh of relief. This handy little tool will tell us what is going on before we make a trip to the mechanic. Sometimes its a simple fix a DIY handy person can handle with themselves saving a lot of money and time. The Autel AL319 is a small compact tool that you might even want to keep in your vehicle for a quick diagnosis. At 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ x 29″ (total length) and weighing less than a pound anyone can use this tool. Also, with the brightly lit colored coded LED screen it is easy to read. The LED scree is about 2 inches, but still large enough for those with bifocals to see with out issues. Also, there is a built in speaker that gives both visual and audible tones. Another thing that most users will like is that this scanning tool works on all 1996 and newer vehicles. This includes domestic and imports. The OBD2 scanner automotive engine tool also provides users with a one click I/M readiness key which gives a quick readable scan. Also, this scanner is set up for multilingual providing both menu and DTC definitions the language you need. This feature is unique to most scanners. The cable length is adequate and makes using the tool comfortable. Also, the manual has a good break down of the DTC codes. As well as a troubleshooting section for scanner issues. Easy to read on to use, perform OBDII diagnostic tests and actual codes for you vehicle. Also, how to read the codes, clear codes and some emissions information. Overall, I found this OBD2 scanner automotive engine tool to be simple to use. It literally takes minutes to set up. When you have determined a emission fault code this scanner records the findings in a freeze frame with the data. Which is very useful to identifying any issues your vehicle is experiencing. Also, having the color coding allows for a quick determination of issues. Green light means no issues, yellow means possible problems and red means means you have one of more issues in your vehicles system.I do like the one click operation of this compact scanner. Also, this tool is a plug and go type scanner so it can be used anytime. I also was impressed to see that this scanner offers updates by downloading. The seller recommends selecting the bin file to update the operating system. Then after updating the bin file to choose the AUT file which will update the DTC library. However, you need to update both the bin file and DTC file or the scanner will not work properly. One thing that surprised me the most was how detailed the user manual is. Most products today do not include a well written manual and if they do its a downloadable one. I like a book in my hand and this one did not disappoint me at all. I would recommend this product.
