I live in a small apartment and absolutely will not tolerate "cat smell". Deodorants and perfumed cat litters smell worse because it just compounds the smell. Flushable litter and keeping a tidy box is the answer. Dumping litter from the box to the trash smells up the place. This stuff works for my household. Doesn't track too much like other litters and doesn't reek of perfumes. The product does a good job absorbing smells. No stale/musky urine smell. No fecal smells unless you happen to sneak up on her while she's doing her business, but don't you also smell when you're doing your business? It quickly dries up in the litter and stops stinking. Starts to reach it's max odor absorption qualities after a few weeks especially if you don't pour the litter deep enough or if you do a bad or infrequent job scooping and break up a lot of clumps. Speaking of clumps, they tend to stay together pretty well but make sure you scoop from underneath. I have been buying this stuff for 5+ years. Single cat and multi cat formulations are so similar I switch back and forth whatever is cheaper. Doesn't matter.

I read the reviews on Amazon among this and many other litters, I purchased my first bag at a local pet store I also purchased yesterdays news because that is what the cat breeder was using. I mixed the two litters in hopes of discouraging any issues with not wanting to use a litter she was not accustomed to using, turns out I don't think she would have had an issue at all. I do not notice a foul odor and I do not notice any dust at all. I purchased this litter because I wanted my kitten to have the best money could buy. I am very concerned about providing her with all the products that are better for her health, after all she is my four legged child. I would call her a fur baby, but she is a sphynx so no fur. LOL

I have tried over 20 cat litters. I like this one because the dust is very minimal, compared to others, and it actually clumps (all of the other 'natural' litters I have tried are terrible, in this regard). I also like that it's flushable; its not a feature I use much, but nice to know that its available. I will say that my parents also tried this litter and felt that the odor control was poor; I personally keep the litter box in my laundry room, which is less than 10 feet from my dining table, and I have never noticed a significantly bad smell, so I guess I leave it to you to decide if you agree. The only other litter that I have found that clumps as well is FreshStep, but I will NOT go back to that litter, as it is extremely dusty (leaves dust all over your home and is not good for your cat's lungs) and makes your cats smell badly. In short, I would recommend this litter, I hope you like it as much as I do (and don't have my parent's experience - maybe start with a smaller bag to see if you like it).

It's odd to say I LOVE cat litter, but I do love this! I hesitated adopting a kitten a few years ago because every time I thought about indoor cats I could immediately recall that smell of litter boxes in my friends' homes and gagged at the thought of having that smell in my home. Then I fell in love with a tiny rescue kitten and I had to face the litter issue. After researching, the first 3 brands of litter I tried were awful. For me, with an ultra sensitive sense of smell, I was overwhelmed with litter stink and determined there had to be something better. I cautiously read all the reviews on Amazon about "World's Best Cat Litter" and despite the higher price I bought a 28 pound bag. My experience with litter boxes changed immediately! Yes, there is a "smell" but it's not what I would call an odor. It has a musky sawdusty smell that is not in the least unpleasant. The litter clumps immediately and effectively. From the beginning my little guy adapted immediately to it and never once has avoided the litter box. One reviewer had written that she scooped after every kitty trip to the box, comparing it to humans preferring flushing after every use:-) I have continued to do that although admittedly sometimes only catch it twice a day. I have never had an odor problem, especially when scooping often, which also means replacing the litter less often. I do add to the litter box every few days though. As for it being flushable: I believed the manufacturer but was wary about it nonetheless. I spent money on nitrile gloves and doggie "poo bags" instead, disposing of the bags in my outside garbage bin. When the first winter hit I didn't relish those trips out into the snow to throw away poo bags so I put away the bags and started flushing instead and had zero problems! Wonderful, clean, immediate, and absolutely no flushing problems. I highly recommend this product, highly! My kitty litter box is not a stinker and no one has ever mentioned any odor, and believe me I have asked everyone! Try this, you won't regret it!

Living in a small apartment where I can only remove trash once a week, finding an odor-controlling litter has been my goal and this is by far my favorite. It clumps well, controls odor, and flushes easily. If it becomes over-saturated, that's when it stops clumping and starts to smell, but as long as you scoop daily, it's great. I've never had any issue with the flushing aspect, but I always make sure to only flush one clump at a time and I usually let it soak for a minute before I flush.

So as a young child I had a cat. As an adult I've visited many places that owned cats. There really isn't anything worse than a house that smells like cat pee or the nasty clay cat litter. A well kept and beautiful house is totally ruined with nasty cat smell. So, when our family decided to get a cat it was a decision I didn't take lightly and I wanted to make sure to prevent that. I researched quite a bit before making a choice. I saw reviews on a lot of different cat litters and ultimately despite the price I decided this one was worth a shot. This cat litter is SOOOOO different from what I remember about cat litters. It is made of corn and can be flushed down the toilet which is insanely convenient. It does have a fragrance that to me smells like corn but I have had guests come and ask them what they smell and they didn't even notice it at all. So I'm unsure if there is any "real" fragrance that isn't in my head. The thing that really shocks me about the cat litter is how well it clumps!!!! It's crazy I just don't even know how it does it. It's inexplainable. I can tell you when your cat uses the box it forms a little perfect ball/cone and it separates from the rest of the litter perfectly. I have noticed one thing that I find myself wondering is some peoples problem. If you only put a tiny bit of litter in the box (which is what I was used to do from childhood) and the pee makes it all the way to the bottom of the pan it's somewhat problematic. Then when you try to get it out you gotta get it unstuck from the bottom and ultimately YOU break up the perfect clump. If you simply fill the box more the benefits are remarkable. It clumps so amazing it doesn't really leave behind any yucky when you sift it so from what I experienced so far you really don't need to empty the whole pan every couple days so you aren't wasting by over filling it. The trick is simply to have enough litter in the pan that it forms 1 clump without making it all the way to the bottom of the pan. I put about 4 inches I'd say in mine and it's perfection. FOR THE TL;DR people: PROS: 1.) MOST AMAZING CLUMPING I'VE EVER SEEN. 2.) FLUSHABLE 3.) IF CLEANED FREQUENTLY AS IT SHOULD BE NO CAT SMELL. 4.) NO DUST 5.) NO OVERWHELMING SMELL FROM THE CAT LITTER ITSELF. CONS: 1.) COST - In the realm of cat litters it's more expensive than most others. --- I truly can't think of any other cons. CONSENSUS - This is the greatest cat litter ever. It works, it's no hassle, it's amazing. The cost is without a doubt worth it. Cat lovers around the world have to be rejoicing when this was invented. It takes all the unpleasant tasks of owning a cat and leaves only the good. ----EDIT--- Added pictures to show you the awesome clumping action.

I realize that people (and their cats) have very strong feelings about cat litter. But, if you haven't yet tried World's Best, I strongly suggest that you do. This is a two-part review of the product itself and the subscribe and save program. In the past eleven years, I have tried nearly ten varieties of cat litter: clay (store brand and national brand), crystals (national brand), newspaper (store brand and national brand), pine-based (store brand and national brand), and two varieties of corn-based litter. When someone first suggested World's Best I scoffed at the price. After having used it for more than two years, I can say that hands down, this really is the BEST cat litter we've used. Our cats seem to agree. World's Best cat litter reliably clumps, produces no discernable dust, controls odors, and lasts. We have two cats and three litter boxes. One bag lasts us 4-6 weeks. As an added benefit, the unscented variety is compostable (excluding fecal solids, of course). We have a large property and add the urine clumps and extra litter to the large leaf and garden waste pile (not for our food garden). For those unfamiliar with composting or squeamish about this idea, urea is commonly added to compost to speed the decomp process. Just think about how much cat litter goes into the landfill. Through the subscribe and save program, I automatically receive a bag of this litter each month at a discount. This is an incredible benefit. With a busy family and two professional parents, time is a scarce commodity in my home. Cat litter is an item that, when needed, is needed urgently. And, as cat owners know, not any litter will do. Before adding this litter to my subscribe and save list, I many times found myself driving out of the way to purchase litter only to find out that the store didn't carry this variety or that store was sold out. Thank you, Amazon.

I have been relying on this cat litter primarily because it is flushable and not as chemically irritating to the cats as some other products. And it IS flushable, as long as you don't throw too much in at a time, in which case I have needed a plunger but never an actual plumber. I have been using this product for about 6 years, and currently we have four cats. It does keep the smell at bay as long as you clean it regularly. CONS: they do tend to kick it around and so you have to sweep around the litterbox. And a little micro dust sometimes gets on the cat's paws - if you have black cats they may leave the litterbox with dusty looking feet. I spoke to a representative at a cat show recently who showed me an improved, slightly more expensive product that World's Best is coming out with soon, supposedly. I haven't seen it though for sale on Amazon or elsewhere; supposedly there's even less tracking with that one.

World's Best is the only cat litter we use! It has amazing clumpability, low dust and requires less product, since the clumping is superior. We had been using the Lavender version exclusively, since we thought it would provide more odor control, but our vet recently told us that while lavender is supposedly non-toxic to cats, she does not recommend using a scented litter. Since kitty licks his paws and cat butt, he is subjected to continuous ingestion of the lavender and it can only do more harm than good. We are just as happy with this litter as we were with lavender. The only downside is that none of the World's Best Cat Litters provide good odor control. When mixed with cat business, it gets a pretty strong vomit odor. We had used Arm and Hammer cat box sprinkles to combat the issue, but have since switched to natural charcoal that we placed under a mesh screen at bottom of litter box and it seems to be safe and effective. I had read other reviews that mention corn mites and since this is a corn product, the mites may be present and can harm kitty. Our excellent Vets, whom I feel are at the top of their Vet game and I trust tremendously, said this was hogwash. Just sharing that tidbit...! Lastly, we recently moved to a home on an individual country septic system and we recently had a pump out. I showed the worker this product and he confirmed it was safe to flush in our country septic!

This is by far the best litter – in all categories. I’ve used a variety of brands, including Fresh Step and Arm and Hammer – I prefer clumping, and many are fair at keeping odors down… Still there is always that scent of ammonia. I decided it was time for a change and found this… wow. I had my doubts. It doesn’t look like clumping litter. It doesn’t have some sort of scent to mask the smells. It looks… different. Since using it (my cat, not me) I never smell ammonia anymore. I’m not sure how it works, but even the ‘added’ masking scents of the other brands can’t compete, and I don’t have to also smell deodorizer. Then there is the clumping. Far better than any other cat litter I’ve tried (and again, I mean my cat, not me). Even scooping it is less messy. Often I find when using the scoop, small bits of litter fall off, but not with this. And urine clumps hold together completely. Dust. Okay, let’s face it, is there such a thing as completely dust free? I mean, if I shake anything hard enough, including myself, some bit of dust comes off (and no, I have never shaken my cat). But still, this is almost dust free. When I pour this inside the top-entry box my cat uses, there’s extremely little dust on the sides. I had to run a damp fingertip all around the perimeter to pick up even the tiniest bit of dust. That’s far better than the cloud of dust I get when pouring other brands into the box. And it sure makes emptying the box a much nicer task. I pour a good 4 inches into the cat box. This allows my cat, who seems to have an excessively large bladder, to urinate to her heart’s content, and it doesn’t leak to the bottom of the box. I do scoop every morning, removing anything my cat has left. I add more as needed. And I change the litter every 3 weeks. I do find I can go 3 weeks with this, as opposed to the other brands, which always required changing at 2 weeks. I like this litter so much that for the first time I joined the Subscribe and Save to have it regularly delivered. 5 Stars.
