Great product.
This is a great radio, so great I ordered another one. My husband wanted something to listen to while he was at work. I purchased this one and he loves it. I purchased the second one for my MIL because she wanted a weather radio and she also loves it.

Very clear sounding quality radio
After purchasing this item from Amazon I was anxious to see how it sounded and performed. I have to say after having a lot of radios and having a vast knowledge of electronics I am completely impressed. The radio bands ( am/ fm) sound very clear and pleaseant to hear, the controls are digital and work perfect, the display lights up a nice blue- then turns red when a weather alert broadcasts- as one just now happened- the radio turned on- display turned red and flashing, and red light on top of radio lit up while the severe thunderstorm warning info was broadcast . Thumbs up La Crosse- GREAT JOB. I have on emphasize that the sound is cleared than my larger radios- and very clear. There is a 6v input for ac or car adapter, it takes 3 aa batteries, which last for days on alert mode. There is a headphone jack. The case is extremely well made, and the tuner chip is wonderful! I have a lot of very high powered flashlights, so I am privy to light output. This .5 watt built in flashlight is quality, and wry bright- a d has high/low modes. Very good light, way better than expected. Excellent radio, FIVE STAR rating.

Good thing to have
I gave up Cable TV three years ago and use Amazon TV and Roku, so I do not have live weather on TV, plus, I'm in a rural area so severe weather announcements come the city, the more populated areas and often leave us down home folks out of the picture. This little NOAA radio has been great. If it looks like a storm is brewing I turn it on and if there is severe weather on its way I get notice within a few minutes. Even though I live in the woods, the connection it quite clear, I'd say an eight out of 10 for clarity. And, if I want quiet or want to be notified during shut eye I just shut the radio off and put it on alert and wait for the s*^% to be scared out of me when this thing comes on in the middle of the night.

Just What I Wanted
If you're going to use a small portable radio, make sure you get electronic tuning. This radio has it and it works great, pulling in the FM stations I wish to listen to within a 40 mile range. Earphones are not provided but it doesn't matter, everyone has earphones already. Also receives 3 different NOAA weather stations in my region. Tuning is a little cumbersome (must push "UP" or "DOWN" arrow to find correct frequency) but that's not a big deal.

Durable, well worth the money!
I cut grass all summer & had used the monster-sized earmuff headphones with a radio. My tractor is pretty darned loud & these type of headphones did the job for a few summers. However, once the volume & station knobs started to wear out, I wanted an alternative. This La Cross radio ROCKS! It's the perfect size, lasts a really long time on battery power (AND IT'S "ON" 8 HOURS A DAY), & with a cheap pair of headphones (THEY DO NOT COME WITH THE RADIO), it does the trick! The weather alert feature is cool, particularly because it warns me when bad weather is coming - so I don't get caught in the rain. Durable, well worth the money, great quality, easy to find radio stations & adjust the volume, the flashlight is bright, & I'm very happy with this purchase!

Be Prepared
We don't have a lot of severe weather in Middle Tennessee but this works very well, when needed. The AM/FM Radio has good reception. Sometimes I use it when I want to listen to NPR in the house. I highly recommend La Crosse.

Impressive little radio in a small package
An excellent little weather radio. Good little speaker for AM, FM, and Weather channels, of which it has all 7 and they can be selected so easilty and quickly, not like so many of the more difficult programmable WX radios. It has good sensitivity with the nice telescoping antenna, and good digital tuning for the radio stations. I especially bought it for the fact that you can turn the radio ON and OFF to save battery power, unlike most weather radios that don't have ON/OFF switches and you have to remove the batteries. Also the rubberized coating on the radio casing should protect the radio from some rough use better than just some thin plastic case. Overall, owning at least a half dozen different weather radios and testing over a dozen different ones, I am impressed with this one and now have two of them. Recommend.

Good solid little receiver.
I bought this because we live in earthquake country and I wanted something for my emergency kit. It works well, is small enough to carry but not so small you're going to lose it. Honestly, I hope it never comes out of the box.

A++
Arrived 2 days early. Excellent packaging, tough to open, but that's good in my opinion. I put 3 "AA"s in it, turned it on and ran through FM first. I live of flat terrain with some hills, farms a few cities. It picked up a good 30 channels clear, no static from as far as 50+ miles. That's impressive. AM was very good. It picked up about 10 channels w/no static. That's real good. The weather channels, 2 of them, were loud & clear no problem, current weather of high winds 55+/- mph was right on. I've been hearing it all day. The red "alert" light came on when the batteries went in. Taking this on an extended hike, short camping trip, your kitchen, my opinion, would work very well re. reception. Now, in the nub on top, there is a pullout antenna just like the original '50's pocket radio... works fine. You can extend reception with a length of small wire attached to a limb... The buttons are small, but that's good. It's portable and should be that way. The light has a Low & high beam. Do not look into it when you use the push button to turn it on. There's a lanyard. It's decent and works. The entire piece is sturdy & Not cheap. The sound is very good & volume goes real loud. Looks like it could take everyday use with no problem. 5 Stars!
