Timothy Hay

This is nice Timothy Hay for my bunnies. I usually use a different brand but decided to try this. I really don't have anything bad to say about it but in all honesty I am going back to my regular brand which I like better and has more and better priced. My bunnies did eat it fine.

Nice big bag of nice Timothy

My Guinea Pig loves Timothy and eats alot of it every day. I like having alot on hand. This is a nice big bag. It is banded into sections of Timothy. This is the first time I've seen this. I think it may make less of escaped Timothy as I'm putting into Piggy's cage but not really anything that would influence my decision. This is nice smelling nice looking Timothy. My Piggy approves

This hay is the best for finnicky hay eaters, who won't eat stems!

This was what I ordered & was so happy with. After many different brands of timothy hay, I finally found a brand that would meet our guinea pigs' needs: all leaves & flowers & no stick/stems. Hip hip hooray! Our guinea pigs won't eat stems, & what a waste to purchase a huge bag, & have it mostly go to bedding. With this Vitakraft timothy hay sweet grass, no such problem. Every leaf, every flower gets eaten. The pigs are in heaven, & I get more than my money's worth!

I Have One Happy Piggy!!!

Received quickly. Opened to find really good quality hay that my piggy goes absolutely nuts for! Smells sweet and is super fresh. This pack comes with two bales twined separately within the bag - I like this as it makes it easy and relatively hassle free to serve from. There is a lot of powdered bits at the bottom of the bag, but as a horse person who spends a lot of time working with real bales of hay, this is not abnormal - you get this with all fresh hay! I would highly recommend, great price, and superb quality!

Fresh, Green, Soft

I had been ordering the main brand (Oxbow) for all my Timothy Hay needs for my guinea pigs. I saw this price was lower & I really like the products Vitakraft puts out, so I read a few reviews and decided to give it a try. I comes in the one big bag but has inside 2 mini-bales lengthwise, still with the straps in the bag. I had completely run out of their Oxbow & instead had to use some obscure hay I had on hand for 2 days. When I opened the Vitakraft package I noticed the green color of the hay, then the texture, it was soft, not filled up with those large brown stalks, instead this whole package was filled with an extremely high grade of Timothy Hay. There was a bit of powder/dust from the cutting of product into small bales & shipping. But my guinea pigs raced to eat this hay. I am impressed. I like to think I would not like for someone to always buy me the very same thing to eat each and every day. So I try to make their food interesting. This type of hay helps.

MY chin babies love this!!

Smells pretty good. My chins REALLY love this. Of course they'll pick out their pellets first, and then when thats all gone they will eat the hay. Usually give hay 2x a day, (morning and night) and the next morning its all gone with plenty of poop in the cage. Big bag, I can tell it will definitely last long. If you have a dehumidifier than that will also work well with the hay just so anything doesnt grow. MY cage is in the lower portion of my house, so we keep it in throughout the day.

Great buy

Got this for two female gerbils. They go nuts over it. I don't know if they are eating in it or just nesting. Only had them for about two weeks. All I know is I put a handful in every day or so and they take off with it into their house. Guess I will find out this weekend when I clean out the cage. It smells awesome and doesn't seem too dusty.

Great quality hay and smells very fresh

Great quality hay and smells very fresh! My hamster took to it immediately and nibbled the little grass bits. She’s never showed any interest in chewing, so I’ve been trying to find new things for her to play with and of course to keep her eating healthy. I feel she’s getting some good nutrients by eating this and it’s all natural.

Our Piggy's Favorite

Outlet Guinea Pig loves this stuff. Our local pet stir is focusing more on dog food now so we decided to try Amazon. What we got was soft, fresh, noticeably sweet hey. Honestly we don't have much dust at the bottom of the bag like some people say and there's a significant less amount of hay at the bottom of the cage after being in there a while. This is easily the piggy's favorite hay and he's super picky.

I like how the resealable bag keeps the hay fresh, and my one picky eater enjoyed the taste. My other hay enthusiast loved this variety as well. She couldn't eat enough of it! I mixed the Vitakraft premium sweet grass with all of Oxbow's hay varieties for both my Mini Lop and my English Lop's daily hay meal Since rabbits need hay to help keep their teeth in tip-top shape and at a healthy length, I really liked how the sweet grass pieces are quite long and required extra chewing. Also, this variety is a very soft hay. As an added bonus, both my rabbits' fur became very healthy and shiny!
