Follow the directions and care instructions and this will last for a long time. I have used to every Saturday to make pancakes with my kids, and the odd egg and bacon. I even used it to cook up some burgers and chicken when the outside temp hit 115 and I didn't want to cook myself while grilling. Each time it has worked perfect and was a snap to clean. I used nonstick spray for the eggs, bacon and burgers and for the pancakes my wife likes coconut oil, I have also used just canola oil as well and have never had any sticking issues. I also have never set it higher than 375 while cooking as everything I have made don't require any higher heat settings. I always let mine cool completely and then wipe it off and put it right into the dishwasher. I also have never had anything spill onto the heating elements, I make sure the plates on firmly on and to not use too much oil and if a puddle forms, I push it into the drip tray if needed.

I bought this for my mother as a Christmas gift. She loves it, it cleans exceptionally well, and she uses it to cook her and my little brother breakfast every morning. It's less cliché than a blender. It looks, feels, and behaves very professionally made. Everything a good appliance gift should be: Well priced, reliable, and maintenance free. It cleans well in the dishwasher, it cleans well in the sink. She cleans it occasionally that way to sanitise it. I just went over to it and rubbed my finger across it to get a better idea for the review. I can't even tell bacon was cooked there save for the faint smell, and she only wiped it with a dry paper towel this past week. The nonstick is serious business. Being what it is, it heats a fair amount quicker than a typical stove burner. It also has the advantage of weighing a little less and being able to fit in your car. The only complaint I have had in a half year of usage is that it has no off setting. It goes down to a minimum heat, and then you unplug it. Granted, if you follow the directions, everything you buy tells you to unplug it anyways, because, of course, companies hate liability. I foolishly paid an extra few bucks for a warranty. (Totally kidding, warranties are always good to have even if you trust the manufacturer)

A lot of reviews have stated that grease runs into the coils... this is so if you aren't using the product right! As a food service professional I love this. Easy to use after long night and early mornings. The grease or liquids drain properly if it goes through the drain hole. If you let it overflow on the top or bottom your screwed and it's very difficult to clean up but it's very easy if you use it right! Love that I can just pop the grill plates into the dishwasher and start my day!

Love being able to "grill" inside and the griddle side is awesome for sandwiches or quesadillas, etc. They clean easily and work for cooking so many items. It's also a plus having a control knob on each side because I'm usually just cooking for myself so I only use one side--a big plus. This item was great for the price and I love it.

I bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it. Uses it all the time.

This griddle is BIG. Read the instructions for assembly and configuration. The instructions are very well laid out. My wife was extremely happy with the dual temp controls. I liked the dual faces griddles, the slotted meat griddle sides are sloped so that grease drains to the center drip pan. the flat sides are not sloped making it easier to cook pancakes and eggs. I would definitely recommend this product.

I love this. I bought it for my mom since her old griddle was tilted and falling apart and my grandma, being the 4 year old her mind can manage, would keep dunking the entire thing in water to clean it. Although this is smaller than our last griddle, I've used the grill side more times than I can count and the removable plates ensures that my grandma won't put the entire thing in the sink. The adjustable temperature on both sides is great for cooking two separate things that require different temperatures. The only thing I would say to add is a size option for small and large griddles. But that's just how I feel since we rely mainly on the griddle. Overall, great product and I like the design.

We purchased this item because the gas line to our apartment broke, and we have no stove. Something as simple as eggs for breakfast was almost impossible using a pan on the hot plate, but this does eggs perfectly and can easily fit five eggs plus five whites (or probably could fit eight regular eggs.) We are both athletes and my boyfriend jokingly refers to his breakfast as "the Gaston," plus we live in downtown Manhattan, so it is really helpful that the square surface allows you to do more eggs in the same amount of counter-space, and you can still get the spatula under the edge nicely. Our former method, a 12" pan, couldn't fit all the eggs and we'd have to do his and mine one after another, or dirty two pans on two burners. The grill plates pop right out to wash, and the square shape takes up less space in the sink and drying rack than said pan. It fits in a row just like a plate. It probably seems stupid that I'm so excited about a grill, but when you live in a shoebox, weight train, and do circus acrobatics for a living, it's really a large part of your life trying to shove enough protein in your face (god knows we can't afford to eat out after paying rent) and still have room to turn around in your overpriced shoebox. Both sides are reversible for grill (ridges) or griddle (flat) so steak, chicken, pork chops, kebabs, etc: all a thing in our lives once more! I missed having an outdoor grill back in the day and god knows "grilling" in a pan on a hot plate is a no-go. We even "grilled" for his birthday party last weekend on this little guy, and put out enough steak, burgers, sausages, eggplant, zuchinni for 30 people. In our tiny freaking apartment. All the other New Yorkers who picture summer bbqs as something that requires going home to another state where people have things called "backyards" were blown away. I think I'm going to try to figure out how to do s'mores on this next time. It's so useful that even though the landlord is replacing our stove, we're going to keep it. We still have no place for an outdoor grill, and buying a cast-iron griddle/grill to put on top of an electric stove is silly and wouldn't heat as quickly, plus those bastards are way more annoying to wash. I cannot over-emphasize: this appliance is so useful we're going to give it dedicated counter/cabinet space in *addition* to a working stove in a 500 sq foot apartment. Totally, ridiculously happy with this purchase.

Love this grill...originally purchased the first one to cook fish and veggies for a Korean bar-b-que dinner party I was planning. Hubby and I gave it a try to see if it would fit the need. I purchased another one because it worked so well .Now we can have 3 couples cooking at one time .....It cleans up fast and easy......

I was very unsure of my purchase after reading so many negative reviews about the drippings going under the pans and burning the coils. I am SO glad I did not listen to those reviews and went through with my purchase! I have now used it to grill steaks, chicken, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and extremely greasy bacon. No oil dripped under the pans, it all went to the middle as it should. Nothing I've made has stuck and it is so easy to clean! The only thing I can think of as far as people complaining of oil burning the coils is that they did not completely clean their pans so when they use the opposite sides the oils of course melts into the coils. This was the only thing I could think of, as mine as worked as should and everything goes to the drip pan in the middle.
