Great Sounding Muffler

I purchased this Flowmaster 40 series muffler to get a different sound out of my 87 Firebird. This gave me a very deep tone that's not overbearingly loud. I wanted loud but not as harsh as the strait though muffler I had on the car. It's well made in the USA, fit my application and sounds great. Good noise reduction.

I am using this as a resonance chamber. Size and fit were as expected. My new system for my 1998 Dodge with 12 valve Cummins Diesel engine has Magnaflow 60111 catalytic converter and a Diamond Eye 4" Turbo back system w/muffler and this flowmaster muffler. Sound level at idle is about 75-80 db at the tailpipe.
