Fantastic exactly what I needed replaced my OEM blower motor control module. I have an '05 Yukon with front and rear auto HVAC with center console rear control. It required splicing 3 wires (did not include the butt connectors) to convert the wiring harness and was a perfect alternative to the $200 direct replacement part This is for the control module with a three pin square female plug It was one of the easiest repairs I have ever done it took 20-25 minutes

My 2007 GMC Envoy SLT with the automatic climate control had a malfunctioning blower motor (or so I thought). I dug into the blower module and blower motor under the glovebox and put a MM on both. controller had 12.xx volts., blower had 0volts. I removed the glovebox, blower module and the blower itself. Why the blower if all I was replacing was the blower module you ask? Because it is easier get the power lead between the module and the blower with the blower removed. Symptoms: blower would work one day and not the next. When it did work it had 3 speeds. I put a dc clamp meter on the blower purple wire and got 7.2 amps max on the old module. with the new module installed I am now getting 8 speeds in amps ranging from 1.57a all the way up to 14.80a. This is a great fix. GMC dealer wanted $265 for part and 300 for labor. It took me 1.5 hours. Like everyone says you do have to clip the old lead off the old module (3 wires) 2 18 gauge and 1 22 ga. I used water proof butt connectors. My advice : Disconnect the negative battery terminal before you start !!. Tip #2 measure resistance with your multimeter between the battery negative terminal and the cars chassis ground. You should have less than 1 ohm resistance preferably .5 or less. If you don't take off the chassis ground and sandpaper the connection down and tell you do. With a good chassis ground like this your blower motor will operate at the highest possible speed.

Installed in 2003 Tahoe with Auto AC controls. Installation was a breeze. I have included pics of the original unit and dash controls for reference.

Easy fix. Clip 3 wires and splice in 3 others with butt joints or wire nuts. I used wire nuts and wrapped with electrical tape as was the original wiring harness. I cut the original wiring hardness with enough room to splice back in the original connector in case GM or ACDelco decides to go back to that and taped in alongside the splice. After struggling with the blower fan connector, I found it much easier to get at when I removed the glove box. I did it with ignition key OFF on my 2003 GMC Envoy with the individual automatic driver and passenger controls and still managed to blow the 40A blower motor fuse when I clipped the existing wire hardness. I had even verified with a meter there was 0-volts between Batt & GND but I believe the voltage was on the purple control line. This scenario may be limited to models with automatic controls but you probably should pull the 40A fuse which costs $5 at the local parts house to replace by the way!

October 16, 2019 will be 4 years on the dot since I replaced this in my 2005 Silverado. Sunday, October 6, 2019 it finally gave up on me and fried itself. When I removed it to trouble shoot, I found corrosion on the side of the sensor fins and it tried to melt the wire harness plug as well. Not sure what may have caused that but it worked fine for the time I had it. Its also a pretty easy fix. Im very particular about my wiring so I hate to have to cut my nice reapair again and install a new one. This time im going wit a different brand because its $20 cheaper than the Delco and made in the same country. IMHO these components are all the same so getting the cheaper one does not mean its inferior to the Delco name. Just sayin. I still give it five stars because this is whats to be expected of aftermarket parts these days. Nothing lasts anymore and it did work fine for its relitively short life span.

I Installed this in my 06 Silverado with automatic climate control after my original module burned up causing the blower to quit functioning. Requires cutting the factory connector off and splicing a new connector in. I used 2 12 gauge butt splices and 1 18 gauge butt splice. This is the second and improved design from GM/ACDelco, featuring a beefier heatsink and whatever other internal upgrades. Took about 10 minutes to install and works perfect. All fan functions back to normal. Some people solder or wire nut, I prefer crimp connectors with heat shrink tubing over top. As always Amazon had quick shipping, it arrived on time and well packaged. The price was a lot less than local parts stores, roughly half than what I could buy it anywhere else.

I purchased this item for my 2003 GMC Envoy XL. This vehicle is equipped with GM's automatic temp control. My problem was that the blower would only run at a very slow speed, and sometimes IT WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN AFTER THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF EVEN IF THE KEY WAS REMOVED. After a few internet searches, vehicle's symptoms matched a failed blower resistor pack; however, since the hvac control in my vehicle was "automatic," I needed the [more elaborate] blower control module. The former is used when the blower speeds are manually controlled and distinct (eg., 1-2-3-4), and the latter is used when the blower speed is continuously variable. In either case, their function is to reduce the voltage supplied to the blower motor from 12 vdc to whatever voltage is needed for the desired blower speed. Both types look very similar and reduce the blower voltage by shunting part of it through resistors to ground. That shunting to ground generates a lot of heat. So, these devices are usually mounted on the discharge duct of the blower and have heat sinks/fins that protrude into the duct for cooling. I searched YouTube for "GM Blower Control Module Replacement" and found a VERY HELPFUL video that showed the entire replacement process using this particular AC Delco part. Note: This part uses an updated design (with more heatsink material), and the connector from the blower control in the dash doesn't match; HOWEVER, a splice-in updated connector is supplied. The instructions are simple, clear, and concise (and larger than average print). EVERYTHING YOU NEED was supplied in the box. I chose to make my splices with wire nuts, so I had to supply them ;-) Overall, I can't imagine anything else that AC Delco could have done to make using this replacement part any easier.

This is the updated resistor module for several GM vehicles. This repaired my 2005 Chevy trailblazer with automatic temperature control RPO code CJ2 for the blower fan being stuck on high even though the key was off and also not being able to turn the fan off by the blower switch. The old style resistor module was black with a hardwired blower motor wiring connector. This new style requires replacing the wiring connector to where the blower connector and control wiring is in one connector and is now separate from the resistor module. This was a great deal on an OEM part and not worth messing with aftermarket junk. Keep your GM all GM.

Works great, very easy to install. My '05 Chevy Avalanche was leaking water down the HVAC blower and short circuiting this unit. It go to the point where I could turn the truck off but the blower would stay on until the battery died. This was an easy fix.

05 Sierra with automatic climate control this worked perfect for a replacement part. Had to use a few wire butt connectors on the three wire otherwise it was as simple as the two screws and three on the outside cover to take off. My blower motor was stuck on before replacing this. Problem solved! Read another review that said they used this product it lasted four years I'll be happy if I get four years out of it. Thought about going with a less expensive ok me but that's exactly what I took out of the truck that the previous owner must have replaced not long ago it didn't look very old. So all togather happy it works, the shipping was quick, not a hard install. There are videos on YouTube if you need one. Also to install it if needed.
