I used these command clips to hang Christmas light (icicles) on the inside window sill and it is the best fit for the job. The clip is 1/2" W and 3/4" L, crystal clear, and able to hold two and maybe three 22 AWG cables (my icicles lights have 3 wire intertwined together). Before hanging the clips up, I followed the instruction of cleaning the area with isopropyl rubbing alcohol (not household cleaners), attaching the strips to the clips, applying 30 seconds of pressure to the clip against the wall, and waiting 1 hour before hanging the lights. So far, the lights are hanging up with no issues. Here are some warnings and notes on the back of package: 1) Do not use with wallpaper 2) May not adhere well to vinyl surfaces. Some window cases are made of vinyl. 3) Do not use for antiques, heirlooms, or other valuable or irreplaceable items 3) Do not hangs things over beds [There goes my idea of hanging a chandelier over the bed with these :) ] 4) Use only one hook per item hung 5) Apply to surfaces above 50F (10C) 6) Adhesive could lose adhesion above 105F (40C)

These work beautifully for hanging fairy lights. My 16 year old daughter hung fairy ights in her bedroom by herself. They're super easy to use; they're exceedingly better than nails and thumbtacks. They're practically invisible. I've removed plenty of these effortlessly and without damaging the walls. Some of them had been on the walls for a couple of years and still I removed them with ease. I think command products are genius.

These are so handy. I use them for hanging light objects, but I use them mostly for holding electrical cords out of sight and out of the way instead of rolling them up and using twist ties. I also use them as bumpers to keep cabinet doors from hitting the walls. I put them on the wall instead of the dot bumpers because they seem to be more invisible, stay on better, and I know they will come off easily with no damage.

I use these to hang up a string of lights in my bedroom. The hooks are pretty strong...i only used about 10 of them around my 12 x12 bedroom to hold up 52ft of copper wire lights.

Pros: -Great little clips for hanging things -They are clear and very small, so they are not very noticeable on the wall -They are fairly easy to assemble and put on the wall (although the instructions tell you to stick the sticky strip onto the clip, hold it for 30 seconds, then stick it to the wall, hold it for 30 seconds, and then wait a day or so for it to "cure", I find that if you are hanging things that are not very heavy, you can do it quicker than the instructions recommend -- I use these to hang holiday banners that I make or lights around the windows, and so far they have not fallen off when I rush the hanging process) -They are so small and unnoticeable that you can really put them anywhere Cons: -On certain surfaces, I have seem some wall paint come off when removing them. I'm not sure if this is a result of taking them off too soon after putting them up, or taking them off improperly. -They are so small that it is hard to grab the sticky strip to remove them from the wall, which i think also adds in possibly ripping the paint off the wall as well.

Most of the things that hang from the walls around my house are hung using Command Strips. I like that they are easy to apply, and don’t poke holes in the walls. Recently, my son wanted to hang a lot of picture frames on his wall, so we got the small command strip packs and started hanging the, By the next morning, half of the frames were on the floor. What’s worse is that all of the falling frames kept waking my son up. He didn’t get much sleep and neither did I. It turns out that 3M had changed from the soft foam strips to thin, double sided tape type strips. The tape strips just did not have the holding power for us that we had gotten so used to with the foam ones. We had enough of the older type to redo his frame collection, but needed replacements. I ordered this big pack of strips and hooks mostly for the strips. I have lots of the little hooks around, especially since I had bought lots with the tape strips that I can’t use, but it is getting harder to find the small foam strips anywhere. At this point, my son will double check which strips we are using to hang things anywhere, since he is very offended by things falling off the wall. This pack has enough strips in it to keep us going for a while, at least until he decides to remodel his room.

I was worried this wasn't going to work, but It in fact is so far!!! I'm attached it to my raised cement area- they go all the way around and even down the cement stairs. I applied as recommended with some strong glue and I'm happy. We had a crazy storm that passed through last night- one that washed away a tun of plants and drowned everything- the rain is cascading down my stairs like a waterfall until the ground dries out (where some of these are places) and still working like a charm. All of the pieces are still stuck to the cement, holding on to my solar string lights perfectly!! Would recommend, and will be purchasing more in the future!

Love these little clips for hanging small strings of lights. My daughter has a junior loft bed with a small staircase at one end and she treats the area under the platform as a fort. We picked up some inexpensive battery-operated paper lantern string lights for the space, but needed something to hang them with. These worked perfectly! We followed the directions carefully, giving the adhesive time to set before attaching the lights to the hooks and haven't had any problems whatsoever. My spouse added a little ledge to set the light's battery pack on, so that we weren't hanging that weight on the clips. Be aware, these are VERY TINY (check the dimensions in the second photo - 0.75 x 0.5 x 0.25 inches) and are ill suited to holding anything heavy. They're for very lightweight decorative use only - literally holiday lights, as indicated on the package and the actual name of the product. For that purpose, they work perfectly!

used these to hang Christmas lights around my boards in my classroom. if you actually read the instructions and do what it says and let the hooks sit on the wall without hanging anything on them for a day, they really do work super well. they have been holding Christmas lights in my classroom for 6 months now exactly how I wanted it to!
