Perfect travel companion!
Bought this as a gift for my father & he really likes it. It's a perfect travel size & relatively light weight too. He especially likes it for his Disney trips because he likes to eat oatmeal every morning - as for me, I really like the hot tea! We both actually really like the way the lid is and had no problems filling it or cleaning it, etc., like I saw a few reviews stating. It's super handy to not have to worry about the lid falling off or getting lost and it fits just fine even under a small hotel sink to fill up. Great buy for the money!

Fast and perfect for a small household
I've had this kettle a bit over a year and have used it several times a week, recently once or twice daily. As a single person household, I really appreciate the size of this kettle. My larger kettle has a minimum fill line at .75L, which is typically far more hot water than I need. But this kettle will boil as little as a quarter litre - the perfect amount for a large mug of tea. And when I make a pot of coffee or tea for a group, I fill it to one litre and it boils just the right amount. The kettle is also wonderfully quick. I start it in the morning from cold water, and in two, maybe two-and-a-half minutes it's boiling ferociously.

Perfect for serious tea lover.
I am not a coffee drinker but enjoy good tea all day long and picky about the fruity tea. Whenever I travel I will bring my own tea bags or Loose tea leave because I do not care for the tea bags that offered by hotel breakfast bar. My first one was more for making Ramen noodle in dom for college student, cheap and sprout did not pour very well. My 2nd one was a kettle type that boil water but the heating coil was exposed and there was no automatic shut off, and got really hot to handle. Needless to say that I also forgot a few times and it was dangerous to leave unattended. This little "TEA" kettle is perfect, I could make tea with loose leaves in it because it had a removable strainer at the spout and the sprout is precise so it will not spill over. Well constructed. Perfect size for a "large " cup of tea if you fill it to max.

Great traveling / portable kettle
Bought this for our vacation because, let's face it, hotels don't have hot water for tea, and if you choose to use the in-room coffee maker to heat up water, your tea tastes terrible. I now use it also when I go to book club / crafting meetings at the library and need to bring my own kettle. This is what I love about it: 1. It's lightweight and heats water up quickly. 2. The kettle is separate from its base so you aren't constrained by the cord. 3. It's small and doesn't take up a lot of room. 4. It's nice looking, very sleek 5. It heats up 17 ounces of water at a time, more than enough for a standard mug. 5. It's held up to a LOT of traveling and abuse and still works perfectly. Here are some negatives: 1. Cord is REALLY short. You may need an extension cord. 2. Keep an eye on it. Sometimes it forgets that the water is boiling and won't automatically shut off. 3. If you're boiling water for more than 1 person, the capacity can be too small - get the bigger version. It's a great kettle for frequent travelers or anyone who has a small space. Nice gift for someone with a dorm room or small apartment.

Great design, great quality
In a sense, all the major brand electric water kettles out there on the market seem to be pretty much the same quality. The only difference is how they look. I chose this one because I found it much more attractive in our kitchen that any other on the market. Small, looks good, high quality. I had the exact same one before, but it broke after about 18 months of daily use, so I ordered another. This is actually a two cup model, which is the best size for me because I only make one cup of tea, and use the remaining hot water to heat up my cup. A larger model is also available.

Awesome Pot!
Awesome Pot! Very simple and easy to use. Heats water to the correct temperature for coffee or tea. It is not cumbersome to lift or pour. Pours enough water for 8 cups/ 3 large mugs. Heats quickly and can reheat after drinking the first cup, or if you want a Tea warmer. The recommendation for water to fill the body is with as much as you are going to use. I fill it to the 8 cup line and reheat as needed, until a full refill is needed, just about the 2 cup line.. I recommend filtered or bottled water, which makes your beverage have a cleaner taste. When you first pull it out of the box, I recommend swishing diluted vinegar to clean and rinse and not use soap at all. Use a lint free cloth or paper towel to wipe it dry, before first use.

A great purchase, and very stylish
Bought two of these (one for work, one for home). They boil fast, about 3 minutes, and make enough for two cups of tea. After a year of heavy use, they haven't' slowed down any and are not coated (we have hard water, so this can be a problem with other electric kettles). A great purchase, and very stylish!

An easy 5 stars, but I'm nervous about the lid
It's small and appears to be the Bodum quality I expected. It's not quite as fast as their larger model, but does a cup in 3 minutes which is more than adequate for my purposes. I AM nervous about the lid pins perhaps breaking in the future, as described by other users. To put my mind at rest, I'm doing to find some thin, long stainless steel screws and run them through the hinges. (I tend to modify a lot of the things I buy, all the way up to chopping up the driver's seat on my first Mercedes to make it fit the way I wanted it to fit :-). Unless it breaks, I'd buy this again.

Lightweight for travel!
I bought this to take to Vegas because I don't want to shower, get dressed and leave my room for coffee until I've had my coffee. I've only used this on one long weekend trip so far and it was perfect. It is lightweight and heats water very quickly. (I also carry a pour-over drip basket, and stuff filters and coffee in a couple of lightweight reusable cups w/lid.) I was a little leery about some of the reviews, but the negative ones sounded like the user didn't follow all the directions. Either way, for the price, even if it only worked for that one weekend, it sure beat going down and buying casino coffee for $5-6/cup or $7-8 for a Bailey's & coffee. I'll update my review if I have any problems with it but, for now, I LOVE IT!
