No more sweeping stray litter!

Still going after 5 years! _____ If you are looking for a box that prevents pee from going over the top for your stand & pee feline, this isn't high enough. I highly recommend using a tall storage tote/container with the lid or side cut so the cat can enter. So far this is the only long term option that has worked for my stand and pee kitty. The other cat, however, uses this box just fine and doesn't get litter all over the place anymore! I put this box next to a regular sided box when I first got it, 4 years ago, just in case the cats didn't like the new box. The old box still has litter flung everywhere, but the new box? Nope. Seriously loving this. The front is low enough that even my arthritis riddled cat can use it (when she isn't using her tote) Shipping was super fast, and it comes in a really big box filled with fun paper filling for the cats! Product specs: The box has molded handles and a pour spout (incorporated into opening design) that makes changing very easy. DIMENSIONS (as stated on product label): 22.8"L,17.8"W,11"H. except the front opening. The front opening measures 5" in the center and almost 6" on the sides/edges. It is scoop shaped and slants down into the box for a couple of inches. This design makes it incredibly easy and convenient to dump litter. *I bought the matching scoop too. Very sturdy and the caddy it comes with hangs right on the side of the box. Very handy. Decent litter box. Great cat house.

As a cat box, this box is decent. It's got a good size to it, but the high sides of the box haven't kept our cat from flinging litter all over the room. Then again, neither has any other box, so that's probably more on the cat than on the box. We ended up buying two, however. The first one we bought we left upside down on the floor while waiting to change it. That's how we discovered this box's true purpose: a cat house. It's the perfect size and has the perfect opening to be turned upside down and used as a little cat house. In the photo you'll see where our cats like to spend about 4 hours a day each. So, while it's a decent litter box, it's a great cat house.

Cat Loves It

I purchased this for my 16 year old cat. I have several enclosed litter boxes, but she started not going completely into the box. She is blind in one eye, so maybe entering the enclosed box was an issue, but I really don't know. This box offers a low front entry with the remaining 3 sides higher. Since I have received this, she started using right away, and there has no longer been any problem with her not going completely into the box. Problem solved!!

Great for the litter kickers

My cat is a litter kicker. He loves to get in his box and then coming zooming out like his tail is on fire. I originally had a covered litter box for him. Unfortunately the litter I use is clumping and in the summer I noticed it wasn't clumping right, and I think with the humidity it was getting wet but not drying a scoopable hard clump. This made scooping harder and I think some of the wet litter would fall back into the box making the box need a full breakdown and clean faster. My concern with switching to an open box was how much litter I'd find all over my floor. This has nice high walls and hold a good amount of litter. Nothing is cat proof, he still manages to kick litter out of the front but certainly a lot less then most boxes. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and if this one broke, I'd replace it with the same one.

EXCELLENT BOX; WAY TOO HIGH-PRICED

Bought two of these last year for my son who has two cats. I should have purchased one for myself as I have one cat who is in her 17th year and is having trouble getting in and out of hers. Her poor arthritic body has a difficult time getting over the edge of the one I have. This really is a nice box and the slick sides and bottom make it easy to totally clean out every once in a while. The low entrance is nice for cats too, although keeping the litter in at that end can be a problem. Make a note of the dimensions while you're searching for a littler box. That's a big plus here as it is a nice, large size so your kitty isn't crowded in it. However, this price (almost $50) is 5 times (yes, I said FIVE Times) more than I paid to Amazon last year for each one I purchased. I can't afford this price. I mean, it is a very basic plastic-of-some-kind box, so why is it so expensive now? I gave it 5 stars because I am reviewing the box itself--not its price. Its price I would rate at 1 star. Amazon needs to find a different seller....please.
