Great healthy chew alternative for your dog!

These chews are much better for your dog because they do not have any rawhide in them. They are 99% digestable and are mainly a chicken and vegetable product. The peanut butter content is evident as you can clearly smell it as you open the package. They also do not contain BHT/BHA. They are hard enough to give my dog (a mini poodle) a satisfying chewing experience and I expect that they're good for cleaning her teeth. My dog loves them. I can get them here at Amazon at a better price than the pet stores with free shipping and automatic delivery when I order them through Amazon's subscription program. I buy both the SmartBones and SmartStick products. Each SmartStick is larger than the mini SmartBones and I alternate between the two products.

Healthy snack - my little poodle loves these and they are good for her, never causing problems. I switched to duck strips and duck/sweet potato strips by vitalife and she really went downhill - luckily I saw the documentary Pet Fooled" on Netflix in time, and realized these strips from China, and many dog foods sourced from there are quietly killing pets all over the Country. I looked up the Vitalife snacks and there were CBC stories about a number of dogs whose vets say they died because of eating them. We went off of them and back to these, and GO food which has ingredients only from Canada and she bounced back to life.

Dog Approved

Both my dogs LOVE these. My Australian Shepherd has never preferred bones for chewing on - literally he will look at you in disgust if given one. These get a much more enthusiastic response! I like that they don't fragment into small pieces that get left laying on the floor. They smell good - not something that turns your stomach each time you give the dog one, fortunately. Chewy and bendable. I would buy more if I caught a good sale price.

They kept her busy for a while, no bad odor or mess.

I'm guessing the flavor was good, ;) Since my dog chewed them, not me! She seemed excited about them and they were only given once or twice weekly since she tends to get an upset tummy. She did fine with these.

My Dogs LOVE These

Whenever peanut butter smart bones go on sale for any amount of discount, I buy them in bulk. They are ridiculously expensive in PetSmart and Petco. My dogs can't get enough of these and we do one for each every other day. They haven't had any stomach issues, which I know is a concern when shopping for new treats, and they love them so much. Definitely recommend.

Great snack/treat! :)

We order these for our 25lb collie mix and she loves them! They don’t really last long. She probably finishes one in minutes, but it’s a good treat. She has never had a problem digesting these, nor have they caused any upset. Another reason we love these bones is that she doesn’t choke on them. Our pup has always gotten to the end of a harder chew (like raw hide) and it has become lodged in her throat. She completely chews Smart Bones and if she does gulp down a chunk, I’ve never worried because it breaks down afterward. Our dog loves the Peanut Butter flavor and knows them by name!!! :)

Wished it was more than a lightening deal!

My girl LOVED these! I bought them for the first time on an "amazon lightening deal" and she totally OBSESSED over these! A friend of mine who is a vet tech recommended giving some kind of chew after dinner to remove tarter and plaque. I happened to see these the same day on lightening savings and bought them. My girl loved them SO much. She went through them very quickly (1 a day) so I came back to order some more - but now they're unavailable. Hopefully they'll be back at a reasonable price soon.

Good Alternative to Rawhide

My dog loves these sticks! He begs for one daily, he’s also a big fan of the smart bones. If you have super chewer, he/she will go through these fast. They’re a bit pricey, but my dog is spoiled so he pretty much gets what he wants.

Like Dog Crack

My dogs beg for one of these at 9:30 every day. They stare at me and bark until I have to get them some. It is like dog Crack! I buy the 10 in a bag. They don't last longer than 5 minutes, but their happiness is worth a lot to me. No bad reactions or stomach upsets.

My dogs love these. More importantly, they don't get sick after eating them, which means I'm not cleaning up things I don't want to be cleaning up. If it's a big dog, it won't last much longer than milk bone.
