Works as intended. Super easy to install. Now I can use standard bulbs with better/brighter light.

I bought a relatively inexpensive light fixture and brought it home and installed only to find that the lights that it accepted were not the "normal" base. It came with a couple of lights and so I went with them until they burned out. Looking back I wish that I just would have returned the light fixture but too late for that now. I'm big on using LED lights these days and these are hard to find and expensive with the "odd" base. So I decided to look for a converter and these are perfect for the job. They don't add a lot of length to the equation so I was able to get my standard base LED lights to fit in the fixture very nicely.

These things aren't bad to make efficient use of regular light bulbs to replace those silly pin bulbs that I didn't know I was getting with my fan lights. It would have been better if both of them worked and not just one. One of them I have to shake / jiggle for the light bulb to turn on. For what they cost it's not worth even returning so I just deal with it. Updated 7/13/17 Customer service contacted me about the glitchy adapter and voluntarily sent me a replacement. Surprising because I didn't ask for one. I thought that was very professional of them and felt that if more companies were like that there would be a lot more satisfied customers in the world. I originally ranked them 3 out of 5 stars now I am giving them a 5 for going out of their way and doing that and I didn't expect it.

Alright! So I stumbled on these looking to replace the annoying two-pin base CFL bulbs that came with the garage carriage lights I installed a couple of years ago. Almost immediately, those bulbs started hesitating and flickering, and eventually would not come on without a sharp rap to the side of the light fixtures. I thought my wiring job was faulty, and felt a bit embarrassed about the whole thing, but then wondered if the bulbs were just bad. CFLs are supposed to last a long time, but don't like being turned on and off a lot, so after (too long a time not to have figured this out) I determined the bulbs might be a problem. Then I found these, which meant I could install my beloved CREE "soft white" 2700k LED bulbs, if they worked. They worked. Popped them in, screwed in the CREEs, and bam! Bright, non-flickering, low-operating cost LED carriage lights that likely will not burn out for years. Owners of two-pin CFLs everywhere, this is your solution. Get rid of those flickery, cold, quick-to-burn-out fluorescents and put in some standard base LED bulbs. They work now, can dim, don't care if you flick them on and off, and should last for years. And if you want warm light that looks like the old incandescents, just look for "2700k" color temperature. Problem. Solved. Five stars.

I installed a ceiling fan last year that used bulbs with the 2 odd prongs called GU24. My first bulb went out recently so I decided to try these adapters so I could used cheaper CFLs in the fixture. These worked without any problem and allowed me to use GE Lighting 68511 Energy Smart CFL 13-watt (60-watt replacement) 870 lumen light bulb with medium base, 6-pack in the fan. I was worried about how much length these might add, and if they would still fit under the dome, but they just barely did. I thought others might be interested in knowing the length of these and such, so I took a picture and some measurements: Length of Adapter (not including prongs): 1+9/16 Inch / 4cm Total increase of length it adds to a bulb (not including prongs): 19/32th inch (just under 5/8th) / 1.5cm

If you're reading this, you're probably military, and you probably live in base housing where they don't have normal freaking light bulb receptacles. Really glad I found these adapters, and you can plug-in normal lightbulbs again. I bought some nice LED bulbs and now I can use them in my fixtures. The two prong light fixtures are really annoying, but this adapter fits normal bulbs even in the ceiling fans with the glass case.

When did lightbulbs stop using the universal design? Our bathroom light bulb went out in the fan, and I went to replace it only to find the stupid light bulb with the 2 prongs. Thank you Amazon, I will never have to wait 2 days to put a light back in my bathroom because we keep a stock of about 10 light bulbs in the house, now if this one burns out I can quickly replace and not have any problems. Seriously who thought that was a good idea?

Imagine our consternation when a bulb burned out in our bedroom and we opened the light to find that we couldn't use regular bulbs!!! Whose idea was this insanity??? Turning to Amazon has become the norm at our house whenever we have an odd problem like this. So, when we discovered this weirdness in our fixtures, once again I turned here for a solution. Thank GOD that Amazon almost always has the answer! We purchased two (one for each light) and some LED bulbs so we wouldn't ever have to mess with them again. We are DELIGHTED with the results! This adapter works like a charm and was SO easy to install. If you're hesitating...DON'T....these things are worth it and work like a charm!

I got the two pack and both were bad out of the package. The posts don't seem to stand all the way up. It's not worth sending them back, so in the trash they go. If you have $7 that you want to throw away, these are for you. Edit: I am revising my rating from one start to five. The good people at Onite contacted me immediately after I posted the original review. They offered to send replacements, which they did. I received the replacements sooner than I expected. They worked just fine. These adapters allowed me to convert my GU24 porch lights to a standard socket so I could use LED bug light bulbs that I couldn't find in GU24 (at least at a price I was happy with). I want to commend the people at Onite for outstanding customer service. I've been buying things for my business for many years, and I rarely see a company go to such lengths to correct a problem. If anything, they may have been a bit zealous. But it was in my best interest, so I can't hold that against them.

I was converting my whole house light bulbs to LED lights to save energy, and lower my electric bill. When i got to our bathroom vanity, I found that the bulbs were a GU24 type of bulb. So went to my local retailer to buy that type of bulb. They were price at around $9.50 each, times 5 that i needed to replace, would have been over $50.00 to replace them. That's more then i wanted to pay for them. Then i found these converting adaptors by Onite. They were priced, less than the price i would have paid, for one replacement bulb. So i purchased them and replaced the bulbs with LED common screw in type bulb.So the total LED replacement cost for the bulbs ans adaptors was about $15.00. What a savings. Thanks Onite for such a great product at an excellent price.
