Worked great for what I wanted
This is exactly what I was looking for, something I could stepover, but a gate to keep my dogs from climbing the stairs, If you have a long legged dog that can jump, it probably wouldn't work for you. I have 3 dogs and one of them has 3 legs so didn't want her getting hurt climbing the stairs. She is the one in the picture and is really not happy about it. :)

Tall Enough to Stop the Dog. Short Enough for Cat to Jump Over.
Our Miniature Australian Shephard has recently developed a horrible habit of eating cat poop out of the litter box, which we keep just off the ground in our guest bathroom. We can't close the door or the cat won't have access to his toilet, and we simply can't keep eyes on the dog 100% of the time she's indoors to ensure she isn't sneaking away to gobble down some feline feces. She's the same size as the cat (about 15 pounds) so the gate feature is pointless as both could slip through easily. However, the gate is just tall enough to discourage the dog from attempting a border crossing and short enough for the cat to clear it with ease on his way to his porcelain (plastic) throne. The gate was a breeze to set up and after getting the pads in place, I'm not worried at all about the rubber ends causing any damage to the paint on the walls. My cat can now poop in peace, and my dog's breath is a slightly better kind of terrible. Best $20 I've ever spent.

It is perfect for walking over
I wasn’t sure because everyone’s measurements were different. We had a baby gate that had a pet door but our corgi always fit through it! So we wanted something with a smaller door and figure this might work because of the dog pictured. It is 18” tall. It is perfect for walking over. The twisting lock and pin makes it easy to remove from the entry way. The pet door is 9”x9”. My 36 pound cogor could get through it if he dipped lower than he could with out last baby gate. I thought we were defeated! We didn’t want our corgi to be able to pass through. Just our cats. But I’m the end, we prevailed!!! We flipped the gat inside down from what’s pictured in the description and alas! He can’t get through it because he doesn’t jump over things! This turned out to be perfect. It’s very sturdy and well made. Very happy with this.

Great LOW gate!
I have now bought TWO of these gates. They are great!! I wanted something to keep my dogs out of the cat's room, but also not so high that my 14 year old cat would stress his joints jumping over it. I've had a ton of gates over the years and this one is the easiest to install that I've ever had. It's very secure once in place, but super easy to remove quickly if you need to. Very strong, too. It's short enough that I don't mind stepping over it whenever I need to enter or exit that room. If you're looking for a LOWER gate, this is the one for you!

Just what we needed!
We bought this as a replacement baby gate for our normal size "walk through" gate that our new puppy decided she could also walk right through! It arrived on time and was the cutest thing I've ever seen!! I love the optional walk through she has so we don't have to constantly pick her up over the gate when we want her in the room. It's made of the same durable metal as our other larger gates and I actually just ordered a second one because we love it so much! The price is also a big plus as we've spent hundreds of dollars on countless baby gates over the years! Our yorkie is 2 pounds at the moment so the smaller width between the bars is perfect as she can't fit her little head and body through it! I provided before and after pics to show our dilemma and how quickly this wonderful little gate solved it! Needless to say our little Penelope is not very happy with it! Haha! Highly recommend this for anyone with a tiny/toy puppy who needs barriers for certain areas!

Perfect height
I have two miniature dachshunds who love to get into trouble so I now have several of these gates to keep them out of certain rooms. Perfect height to keep them out and for us to step over. Easy to put in/take out.

Awesome low-rider gate!
Super easy to get in place! Made from quality materials. It's not some cheap flimsy made gate. Looks a lot nicer than the wooden/plastic one from Wal-Mart, and my 18 year old cat can now get over the gate with ease, but the 13 year old dogs can't or won't. I'm also pretty happy that my senior citizen parents won't have any issues getting over this one. The other higher gate was becoming a struggle for everyone. I also love the price! $16 for a metal, quality gate....um yes please. We tested the little door on it, but since we won't be using it, it's not that important. The cat and the weiner dogs went through with ease.

This works great at preventing our rabbit from pooping in other rooms
This works great at preventing our rabbit from pooping in other rooms. And it’s so cute to see him go through the door as it opens. It’s lower than the previous gate and somehow we hit it twice as much but we all prefer this new one. Setup confused me at first until I realized that you have to turn a knob to extend it once you already have it set to the apriximate length and have it in place. To clarify, there is a small plastic clip that holds a metal pin. You loft that up, slide the gate to make it fit in your doorway and open it as much as possible. Then you push down on that clip while making the gate smaller it it will eventually get pushed into a preset hole. That sets the aproximate length. Then you turn the knob next to itwhich expands the gate more. Keep turning until tight. The pressure will keep it in place. Hope that helps anyone else that didn’t read the directions correctly. Lol
