Captures water, dirt snow and the only hard part is having a powerful enough vacuum to reach down in the grooves to lift out some fine particles but I love them and just vacuum slower!

Protects my hardwood foyer from lots of foot traffic!

Had this for 2.5 months now and use it at my front door foyer. Keeps dirt and debris on the mat and not on my heardwood floors. It does have an odor when you first unroll it, which lasts for about 1 week. But it works like a dream!

As Promised + More

We bought this rug because we needed a solution to an ongoing problem -- a slippery outdoor slate/stone stair landing. This landing is not covered, so in winter we cope with ice; in the summer with rain, and both make the landing outside our front door very slippery and dangerous. My husband has a big problem with stability and balance, so this was a huge safety issue. This rug has solved our problem -- covers most of the landing and provides great traction no matter the weather (and we've had examples of all in the past few weeks!). As an added bonus, cleans most of the snow, ice or mud from boots and shoes prior to entry into the house. In terms of great footing and debris removal, there is something really magic about the pattern of this rug -- have never found anything as effective as this rug. We could not be happier!

Well constructed nice looking for a commercial type rug

The diamond pattern makes this look pretty nice for a commercial type rug. It is constructed well and does not slide around on our hardwood floors. The dog can't shred this one up with his nails like he did with the old rugs we went through. We expect this to last much longer than a standard residential indoor rug. When our other rugs wear out we will replace them with this as well. It reduces the amount of mud and water the dogs track into the house. Really the only negatives are that with the deep groves it requires vacuuming from various angles. But the groves are the reason it works so good to reduce mud and water tracking, so it is worth that inconvenience. Also it is too heavy duty to put in the washing machine if a pet has an accident on it. We plan on taking it outside and power washing it if that happens. Great rug, we will be getting more in the future.

All around great mats, good value for money

These all purpose mats are fantastic. Extremely hardy and well made. I am confident that we will have these for many many years. I love that they came in a wide variety of colors (watch out, as shipping speed can vary depending on the color you're choosing).

Great Matt!

We have this WaterHog on our back patio to soak up some of the water as we get out of the swimming pool before entering the house and it does it's job... VERY WELL!!! This matt/rug also keeps my dogs from dragging in leaves, dirt, water, etc. on their paws before running back and forth in and out of the house a hundred times a day also !!! It really helps having it at the back door and I am amazed at the stuff it catches!!! I just spray it down with the hose or shake it out when it needs it!! It saves me from having to sweep as much as I had to before inside the back entrance area of our home.

This product is exactly what I wanted for my front entranceway. The grooves are very deep (as far as carpets go) and it's very heavy duty. It's also heavy enough that it doesn't slip/slide on the tile floor. It trapped all debris/water/snow that a New Hampshire winter could generate. Vacuuming it can be a bit tricky due to the deep grooves, but a few passes in different directions usually does the trick. I would warn you, however, that the size I ordered (8x8) was apparently a 'custom' size and had to be made to order. It didn't say this on the website...I only learned this after e-mailing the manufacturer to find out where my product was. The fact that they had to make my carpet to order caused the delivery to be delayed by several weeks.

Good quality product

These mats are well worth the money. They lay down well and do not curl on the ends. Far superior to the typical big box store mats.

I loved this so much I bought one for every door!

I appreciate quality and this has it! There are nearly the same high quality mats I used to use in the restaurants I managed in Louisiana and East TX (read as sloppy, wet, high volume, customer traffic). They trap water and 'junk' off of your shoes and keep from tracking up the house. They are very effective. We have a farm now here in Northern NM (FrostFarmNM.com) and these guys really do the job. I've tested these on Irrigation day (read as 'mud day'), chicken coop cleaning day, and rabbit cage cleaning day (read as Poop fest!). These rugs trapped it all at the door. The mats are durable (as far as I can tell) and able to be cleaned easily- (Vacuum or beat if dry or even hose off). Great floor mats for people who have serious mud, water, or other 'house tracking' issues.
