Merry Christmas to me and Bayshore!! Thank heaven for this little door!!
Excellent invention and resolution to replace a broken mailbox door!!! I'm so thrilled I found this easy solution, that's so easy to install with literally no tools needed. Just snap in and you have a brand new, secure, mailbox door. I have had a broken mailbox door for about 5 years, tried fixing numerous times, but eventually faced with either the door completely off, or hanging off hinges. Sick, and tired of this non-fix, I searched the Internet for a resolution. Low and behold, Bayshore Company had a solution!! So excited, I ordered one and it shipped even earlier than expected. I love my new door and now feel more comfortable that my mail is no longer exposed to outdoor weather. Thanks Bayshore for building an excellent, easy solution. You made my Christmas!!

Fits Perfectly
The mailbox replacement door was easy to replace and fits perfectly so far; I hope it lasts several years. Sure, the price seems high, and the quality is not much higher than the $17.00 mailbox from Lowes that the builder put in. But compared to paying $100 or more for a contractor to replace the mailbox, it's cheaper. The company recommends drilling out the old rivets, but I could not get a straight angle to drill the rivet properly. Instead, I used a metal handle screwdriver and a hammer, a few whacks and the old rivets were history. Wimpy rivets, one of the advantages of a cheap mailbox!

Get this now!
This is awesome! Someone hit my mailbox door. I would’ve had to get someone out to tear down the brick and put a new mailbox in for a few hundred dollars. I saw this, read the reviews, and figured I’d try it. If it didn’t work I would’ve wasted $35 bucks, but I’d rather do that than to spend a few hundred and realize I could’ve fixed it for a lot less. It took a bit to finish tearing the old door off. Half of it was already torn off anyway. Once I got the old door off. I just twisted it till it can off, I bent the mailbox back into shape. After that it took literally seconds, immmot exaggerating, to put this new door in. It fits perfectly, and once I spread the anchors on the inside out a little, it’s secured in. It’s been in a few weeks and is still perfect. This is a lifesaver, you need to get this now! Measure your opening first before ordering though to make sure you get the right size. If I could give this ten starts I would.

One of the best and easiest products to use. Don't pay for expert set up! It just pushes in and snaps in place. 5 second fix.
The makers of brick mailboxes weren't not long term thinkers. If your mailbox gets hit by a car, you may not find the same bricks to match the house. Or, like in my case, the door rusted and fell off. Got tired of wet mail and was almost going to have the mail box replaced when I found this. Took me 5 seconds to install it. It just snapped in. It is in there tight and the new door works great! I think it is funny they have an expert setup option.... for almost 100 bucks! I would be happy to do that for the rest of my life! I could knock out them as fast as I could get to their house and open the box. You just push it in and it is in place.

It was quick and easy. In fact
One of the two brads holding my mailbox door rusted off, leaving it hanging by one brad. Since the mailbox was built into a large brick structure, replacing the entire box posed a real problem. Then, I came across this seemingly nifty way of replacing just the door. It was quick and easy. In fact, it took longer removing the old door than installing the new one.

Nifty Fix for an Old Broken Mailbox
I have one of those brick encased mailboxes, and one day the door of the box fell off. I found this nifty product and gave it a try. Do measure your mailbox first; mine was this size. Took seconds to install. You DO have to have the top clamp where the door will be secured from falling back down intact on your old box. This resolved my problem since my old box still did have that tab intact. Highly recommended as a quick snap in solution.

Surprisingly Useful Door Replacement for your Mailbox
This is the perfect solution to quickly repair the broken door on your mailbox. It fit my box perfectly. Durability is yet to be determined. My 37 year old box was in nice repair, except for the rusted out hinges. If this new door lasts half that long, it will have been worth the money to replace just the door instead of the entire box. My box was encased in masonry, so it would have been a major task to replace the entire box.

After finding this I was convinced this would be perfect. I was hesitant due to the price because ...
I agree 100% with another reviewer! Whoever came up with this (bay shore mailbox company), is a genius!! We recently bought a home and after moving in I realized that our brick mailbox was in desperate need of attention. The handle on the door was broken. I could still open and close it but it took extra time. That being said every day when our mail was delivered the lid would get left open. I was not a fan of this at all. Especially after a package went missing. So I decided it was time to do more research. I had not found a way to replace just the door when looking in stores. After finding this I was convinced this would be perfect. I was hesitant due to the price because this is more than most standard mailboxes, but I did not want to pay someone or pull out heavy duty tools to repair a mailbox inside of brick. Removing the old lid was probably the hardest part. I snapped this one right in, piece of cake. It now looks like a brand new mailbox! I'm sure my postman is a happy camper now too. No more dealing with the old rusted broken mailbox.

Excellent repair kit
We have a brick mailbox enclosure, and the door to the mailbox lost a rivet on one side. As a result, every time we or the mail carrier would open the box, it would bend the remaining hinge. I was going to just pop-rivet the side back together, but before I had a chance it was bent beyond use. I had no idea what I'd do ... I was thinking about trying to cut the old box out (very difficult), or maybe go to Home Depot and buy a new box, remove the door, and try to put it on my existing box. I decided to Google "brick mailbox repair", and found out that the problem is quite common. So common, in fact, that a company makes a repair kit ... this one! It costs more than a new box would, but is so much better. This door kit is great. All that's necessary is to remove the old door (that's the hard part) and install this one, which only amounts to aligning things like you want them, and give it a good push and tap with the heel of your hand. It looks like it was always there. It may fall apart after it's used a few times, but I don't think so. It works perfectly and I am truly grateful that someonce came up with this idea and followed through.

Perfect!
Our mailbox door got a dent put in it, right in the center of it, we aren't sure how it happened, but we wanted to replace the door, but didn't want to have to buy an entire new mailbox. This mailbox door is PERFECT!! It fits our existing mailbox perfectly and installing was a breeze!! Great buy!
