Very well built!
My 22 month old son is OBSESSED with this toy dog. We’ve had it for about 2 months now and he still drags it with him to the grocery store and every appointment. I personally love it. I think it’s well built and absolutely adorable and easy to play with. My son at first got frustrated that the dog would tip over when he tried pulling the dog too sharply but he eventually figured it out (an age thing) and most of the time just pushes him with his hand.

So great!!
I’m so glad I went with this push and pull toy, it’s worth it- the pup’s ears move, his tail moves, his neck moves up or down, he can be positioned to sit up, he just can be positioned in so many more ways than the other ones. His wheels are positioned so that he can spin easily, it’s just a really great design and very cute!

Puppy Pull Toy
We bought this for our son at 13 months, when he showed an interest in dragging things around. This little dog is perfect! The moving head matches up with the angle that he pulls it at. The wood is smooth and although he enjoyed chewing on the tip of the tail, the paint is still intact and the bite marks are not very prominent at all. It pulls easily with a fun little *walking" wobble. This is a great wooden toy with a solid build.

Perfect for babies and toddlers
I bought this for my nephew who is 5 months old. I knew he wouldn't be able to pull it yet but I loved the look of it and the fact that it was two parts which I was hoping would make it a "grow with the child" kind of toy. It did not disappoint, my nephew stared and stared at the green liquid moving around as we would turn it over and over for him to look at. I think he will be playing with that part for a while and once he can pull the Tito, he will have fun putting the back on and watching it move as he pulls it himself. I love this toy, I only wish I got it for my own boys when they were his age.

Cute and fun!
This arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I’ve wanted one of these pull-alongs for my toddler for a while. It’s really cute and seems well made. The little tail wags and the head kind of bobs along as you walk. I wish that the string had a little bead or something on the end to hold but it would probably be a choking hazard so I understand why it doesn’t. My little guy is 2+ yrs (26 months) and he loved pulling it around the house and making loops around the dining table.

Soft/Supple/noiseless/
There is not enough to say about this company. I'm absolutely so grateful that they had nature in mind along with the well being of our first daughter. The tails and head move simultaneously, the Leash is soft and doesn't thread apart. The best invention not made in China! 🙏🏽

Cute toy
Really cute vintage style toy. I am using it for a quite untended purpose. It is a prop in my trick dog's performance routine. She is "acting up" in the vets office, decides to "take Snoopy for a walk," pulls the cord off a scarecrow's hand, and runs off with the toy dog. She is supposed to be rather rough and the toy is holding up magnificently.

Warning, may cause delightful, squeel-inducing play for tiny tots and big kids alike!
Everyone in my family loves this walk along, waggy-tailed pull puppy! I bought Hape Walk- a- long Puppy for my then 1 year old son's birthday thinking his 2 older sisters wouldn't want to play with this "baby toy". I usually like to buy versitile toys that will grow up well and have play appeal with all 3 kiddos. I also TRY and stay away from battery powered toys because..just so many reasons - endless $$$, the inevitable drama that ensues when batteries die, annoying glitches, battery acid corosion, can't leave them outside if it rains, no bathtime play usually, etc. Nonetheless, thinking that my babe might not get a ton of mileage out of this one, it looked so darn cute, my husband approved (he's extremely anti-bleeping/noisy toys) and my kids are always trying to drag something long behind them - rolling baggage, long ribbons, each other. Should have known. I was so wrong! My now 23 month, 3 and 5 year olds have all been *ahem* 'taking turns' almost every day for the past year, walking this cute-n-happy lil' guy around the house and outside. (Pup is made out of wood and is probably not designed to be an outdoor toy, just a heads up.) It's a simple, cute, well designed, classic wooden toy that apparently doesn't ever get old. My grandma probably had one of these kinds of toys back in the horse-n-buggy days. Of course, her father probably whittled her pulltoy himself from some leftover scrap wood and haybail twine laying around the farm, maybe taking weeks to finish. Kinda sounds like a lot of work..the olden days must have been like, so hard without Amazon Prime. Anyway, this is a Hape wooden toy so it's crafted quite well, anything but scrappy and it took just 2 days to get to our home with Amazon Prime..which is freaking awesome! It arrived packaged nicely, tucked away in an openface cardboard box that wasn't too difficult to unwrap. So, when gifting this to your child, they will be able to touch it immediately after unwrapping, though may need a little help removing their new pup completely. Parents will have to help those with tinier, less dexterious hands, so be prepared with your Swiss Army knife, Kraftsman, machete or whatever. There's a bit of a glossy finish to the wooden parts which are painted quite nicely with orange spots and orange ears. Light-colored, natural wood shows through beautifully where it's not orange, so it's anything but an eyesore. The red pull string is thin, ropey, not too long, not too short in my opinion. My 5 year old is super tall for her age and manages to take Hape Pup for walks easily, without crouching down to keep it rolling flat on the ground. Just as much fun and possibly played with more often than my kids' various robotic pets. Go figure. Best part - no batteries required, yet it still moves all around, kind of like a puppet on a string only the entire house is the stage. You can sit him up so he 'begs for treats', lay him down on his back to 'play dead', make his head nod up and down while he 'drinks from his doggie bowl'. Plus, his tail wags as he gets pulled along, which is my favorite feature. I will definitely be purchasing more Hape pull along toys this Christmas and/or for my January beebee's 2nd bday. Thinking the crocodile and duck with floppy feet next.

Super great
This is such a great toy! My twins got it when they were less than a year old. They are now almost four and I was surprised to see them rolling the doggy into church with them on Sunday. The dog is sturdy, whimsical, cute, and does a find job of engaging kids with mechanical and engineering minds, too! I'm so glad we have this ... in fact, I needed to buy a second one and was completely happy to do so.
