Excellent quality, good deal for the quantity - especially with free shipping. While this syrup "ties" with other syrups for taste and texture, that tie is at the top. The brand offers different grades, and I prefer thicker grade As. Most people might say the B range has fuller, stronger tastes ("B = Better for maple syrup"), but I have tried Bs and prefer the lighter A taste. Lower density also means less syrup is needed to cover a given surface area in the time I have for my waffles, which means consistency of great flavor throughout meal and a longer-lasting jug. This Medium A is my all-time favorite, and I just had more of it this morning - so my review is fresh. :) I don't even touch the corn syrup "maple syrups" in the typical NYC grocery store (they don't even begin to compare) - my review is largely concerning how this maple syrup compares to other real maple syrups. Oh, and I also like that this syrup is organic and relatively local, as far as online purchasing is concerned. I have ordered several times from this brand and have never had a freshness/contamination/damage issue. While not a major factor in my purchasing decision, it is a factor and a plus knowing that the company's disinfectant use, etc. is scrutinized (or at least runs a heightened risk of scrutiny). It is also one of the tidbits bumping this review to a full 5 stars.

Yum, yum, and yum. I drink green tea every day and it makes me feel better about myself to use something other than sugar to sweeten it, so I chose this, 'cause hey, better option on the glycemic index, better nutrition, and all that. It's also important to me that it be organic, given that I want to avoid all that weird stuff they treat conventional maple trees with and filter the syrup with. But now, I probably wouldn't switch to anything else just 'cause I'm hooked on this flavor. Honey is also a healthier sweetening alternative to sugar, but I think maple syrup tastes better, and this maple syrup in particular, this grade B, with its dark and full flavor, is just a real treat. Delicious with pancakes, in homemade pecan pie, in two-ingredient caramel, as a drink sweetener, and in probably anything you want a sweetener for. I'm so grateful to be able to get a good deal on it here, so I can justify my rampant consumption of this "liquid gold." Highly recommended.

This is one of the most delicious maple syrups that I have ever tasted in my entire life! And that says a lot. I never thought, in a million years, any other maple syrup could come close to Pennsylvania Maple Syrup. Growing up in the 1970's-1980's, every spring, I always looked forward to the annual maple syrup festival in my hometown of Beaver County, Brady's Run Park. My family and I always enjoyed all you can eat pancakes served with 100% pure maple syrup made in our favorite hometown park. But, my gosh, this syrup is so delicious! I just made myself an iced maple latte with it. And I look so forward to waking up tomorrow morning and making delicious French toast for my husband and me with Hidden Springs Organic Vermont Maple Syrup. Thanks for bringing back the love! I haven't had French toast since a kid. And tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day with maple syrup this amazing! I can tell that there is a lot of family love behind this product! 🍁❤️🍁

Maple Syrup comes in (at least) 4 varieties, and I've listed the most popular ones below in increasing "Maple" flavor. note: the grades listed immediately below have been revised/renamed by the USDA as of March 2015. The first list contains the old names and the second list has the revised names. Grade A Fancy - lighter color and maple flavor Grade A Medium Amber - slightly more maple flavor and slightly darker (this one) Grade A Dark Amber - more intense maple flavor/darker than Medium Amber Grade B Dark Amber - Darkest with very intense maple flavor, and most folks will use this in cooking only. The revised grades from the USDA are below and more or less correspond the 4 grades above. They took out the Grade B for the darkest syrup because it implied that the syrup was of a lower quality, which in fact never was the case. U.S. Grade A Golden - Delicate Taste U.S. Grade A Amber - Rich Taste U.S. Grade A Dark - Robust Taste U.S. Grade A Very Dark - Strong Taste Most folks will prefer the middle two with their breakfast dishes. You can search Amazon for "Maple Syrup Sampler" to get all four in sample sizes so can you taste them side by side to determine which suits your tastes best. I love the Grade A Amber, and this brand is as good as it gets. The grocery stores near me, sell mostly Dark, so I'm glad I discovered that I can get the variety I like best delivered to my door at a competitive price from Amazon. As a bonus, there is a customer service number on the bottle, that you can call and actually speak to a person!

Yum! Yum! Yum! This is the first time I have ever used pure maple syrup. I did my research on pure maple syrup and was surprised to learn "Grade B" is the best! I also decided to try Hidden Springs Organic from Vermont after reading the reviews. Oh my! I am so pleased...the taste is incredible and it is wonderful as a sugar substitute--healthier, too. I did not know that pure maple syrup is a little better than even honey as far as health benefits. I am using this as a replacement for sugar in baking and cooking as well as heating it up a little for drizzling over pancakes or French toast or even cornbread. I will purchase this again!

I'm using this for The Master Cleanser right now, but I'll be buying more of this in the future as it's the best tasting maple syrup I've had. I've had a lot of "Grade A Dark Color Robust Taste" (Grade B) maple syrups before, and this is my favorite. I've had Grade B maple syrups from many vendors such as Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc and this is the clear (or dark) winner.

Deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious! This maple syrup is very high quality and perfect for both topping your pancakes/french-toast and baking with. My healthy Mrs. Butterworth's recipe: 1 cup real maple syrup 1/4 cup raw honey (gently heated so it's easier to work with if it's thick or solidified) 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted) 1 teaspoon high quality vanilla 1 pinch fine sea salt Whisk above ingredients and bottle for your pancakes/crepes/french toast etc.

I typically buy Whole Foods organic Grade A. I bought this to see if I could save a buck (literally) and just to try something new. As usual with Amazon, it came as and when advertised. So to the syrup. We've had the same syrup in the house for years so I was interested to see my girl's (5 & 7) reaction. Anyway, the taste is incredible and surprising to me the whole family prefers this syrup over the whole foods brand. I say that because it does have more smokey maple taste which I figured would turn off the kids but they love it. I would suggest giving it a try, we have it on auto-fulfillment.

This syrup is so good! I have been baking treats and this is what I have been using instead of sugar and they have turned out so good. I can smell the maple wafting through the house.

I had never tried grade B maple syrup before but I started the Master Cleanse and it was required for that. Finding grade B syrup locally in Plant City, FL is nearly impossible. I thought Grade A was the top of the line, but grade B was more expensive. According to the Master Cleanse book Grade B has more vitamins and nutrients. I can say its much darker, richer and more flavorful. I tried to make my mix with grade A after using grade B because I ran out and it was a huge mistake. It tasted weak. My family will continue to use grade B from now on. I have ordered no less than 5 of these and the quality has been consistent and of high quality.
