Better than the Ninja!
I have had the Ninja Food Processor for 5 years. It broke on us and I didn't want to spend the extra money to buy a new one. I bought this one to hold me over. It exceeded my expectations....way better than the ninja! The blades are really sharp and chops way better than the ninja. The shredding option is also way better than the ninja. The ninja had a separate unit....this is an all in one. Cleaning is a breeze. My husband didn't believe me until he tried it and he also agrees. I will never buy another ninja again!

High Endurance!! An exceptional small appliance! Quite pleased!!
This far exceeded my expectations. Sounds and operates like a real professional of much higher quality. I haven't had any need to use the side scraper as it does just fine without it. I have made everything from guacamole to energy bites with very sticky dates and crunchy hazelnuts to work with. This machine is absolutely fantastic. I love it! There is no need to buy a much more expensive device as this one does a great job by itself. The only negative thing I have to say about this device, is the little sticky suction cups on the bottom. Although they are really nice to keep the appliance in place while in use, they are a real pain when trying to get the device out of the cupboard! I think I might end up removing them. All in all, you will be quite surprised and quite pleased investing in this little machine!! Last night it made an incredibly creamy mac-n-chz sauce:)

Couldn't ask for more from a basic home food processor.
I do a lot of window shopping before I decide on something. My SO goes nuts because it takes me three months to decide on a kitchen knife. That being said, I did my usual amount of research before buying this thing and my due diligence did not fail me yet again. The scraper is seriously so useful. Being Korean, I make kimchee every couple of months or so - which means a lot of friggin' garlic. This thing is awesome for mincing up some serious amounts of garlic because bigger chunks tend to get stuck at the top and not get minced evenly. The scraper solves that problem. I also tried using it to process crab meat to make it flaky to make California rolls and the motor can handle dry and dense foods like crab meat. I also tried processing chicken breast for chicken salad with it and no problems there either. The control options are pretty basic but if you can handle your own around a kitchen then gadgets with crazy settings only get in the way. With this product, there is absolutely no need to hesitate. The amazing price is just that - an awesome deal.

Life Changing Appliance
My mother has always said that if her food processor breaks, she will go out that day and buy a new one. Me? I have got along just fine (or so I thought) hand chopping my vegetables or using The Ultimate Chopper (the famous or perhaps infamous infomercial product from the 2000's) for smaller jobs. Recently though, I thought it would be great to slice vegetables without having to stand at the counter for hours on end (full disclosure, my boyfriend was sick of seeing me almost slice my finger off). Enter this fantastic machine. Words can not express how much I LOVE THIS THING! It is so FAST, ridiculously powerful (slices potatoes in seconds) and makes cooking so much easier that we can not believe it. I even tried making a quiche in it, plopped all the ingredients together and it was oven ready in minutes. You can do anything with this bad boy. My roommate made veggie chips: beet, carrot, sweet potato and used the slicing blade, voila, perfectly shaped veggie chips in seconds (no lie, it is SPEEDY). It is also awesome for grating cheese and has the perfect amount of attachments (4 in total) plus the regular blade. It also has grippers on its feet, so it does not slide around when you are using it. And, its dishwasher safe, but we use it so often, we'd rather hand wash it. I honestly can not recommend this product higher. And, if it ever breaks (which I can't even imagine happening) I am buying this exact machine again.

Great buy, but beware of damaged shipments.
I've used several food processors over the years, and this one does the same job at a fraction of the price. Beware however that some of these boxes shipped from Hamilton Beach have taken some damage during shipment. The items inside are unscathed (which is why I didn't deduct a star) but it does make the care of their shipments look unprofessional. I know someone out there is going to get a bad processor.

Surprisingly powerful - excellent performance for this price level
This is a fantastic food processor at this price point. I purchased it with an Amazon Prime Now order because my fancy Cuisinart food processor that I had paid $200+ for stopped working for no reason. I was throwing a dinner party the next night and couldn't wait to replace my Cuisinart. When ordering last minute party supplies from Amazon Prime Now I checked to see if they sell food processors and to my delight, they did, so I purchased this one. This food processor is much lighter than my Cuisinart, but still offers a large capacity work bowl. It purees, chops, and blends most foods with total ease. I think it is even more powerful than my Cuisinart was. I was able to roughly chop vegetables in seconds, as well as make purees, as shown in my photos. It took a little time to figure out how to install the working bowl and top cover so it locks properly so the machine will turn on, but once I figured it out it was easy to use. I was extremely impressed by how powerful and quick it was. When you need a puree it totally purees whatever ingredient you are using, in seconds, unlike some food processors that either take quite a while to puree, or give you a chunky puree. The food processor has two suction cup feet on the bottom which holds the machine securely onto your workspace, which is a great feature. The only complaint I have about this food processor is that it is EXTREMELY loud. I was using it to prep a few things late the night before my party, and was shocked at how loud it was. I could only do a couple of pulses and finish one ingredient because it would have woken up my neighbors in my apartment building otherwise. If Hamilton Beach could figure out how to reduce the noise level by half, this would be the absolute perfect food processor.

Wonderful Machine. It Lived Up To All Its Hype
I carefully did my research before I ordered this product. I checked out all the other products in its class, compared prices, and then looked at reviews both on here and other websites throughout the internet. After my research I ordered this Hamilton Beach 70730 Bowl Scrapper Food Processor and I love it. So far I've made all kinds of sauces in it. I've shredded carrots for salads and sliced vegetables of all types into rounds. I've even used it to shred large quantities of potatoes for hash browns and loved the results. You can't get any better than this Hamilton Beach Food Processor. I probably use it three times a weekday if not more and often at least once on the weekends. Its easy to lock in place and will not run if you have the parts incorrectly locked. Its super easy to clean and has enough settings you can do just about anything you want with it. I was a bit skeptical the scraper would work, but indeed it does and does a fantastic job at that. I would highly recommend this food processor to anyone shopping for a personal use or even for a fantastic wedding gift.

My first food processor ever.
Wednesday December 28th, 2016: I'm going to write a review in stages as time progresses. To start, I just opened the box and I can't believe this processor is $21. The last time I looked, I think it was $29. It was packed alright (not the best) but I immediately put it together. I was looking for something smaller, maybe a 3-4 cups but since this one was so cheap with so many great reviews, I thought why not? You do get what you pay for sometimes so I am hopeful it will work well for a long time. It does feel a little bit light and cheap. I decided right away to make pie dough. I threw in 1 1/4 cup flour, some salt, sugar and butter. I'm floored at how easy it was to make! I've been making pie dough with a handheld cutter and slicing/chopping vegetables with a knife for decades. I could just kick myself for waiting to buy one of these processors to assist me in the kitchen. Wow, who knew these contraptions could make your prep so much easier? I will continue to update this review as time moves forward. I hope for the best...stay tuned. January 18th, 2017: I'm a little enamored with this food processor right now. I'm not sure how to put it into words to show how ebullient I am that I took a risk and bought this little multi-use tool. Thus far, I've used this unit about 20 times to make mostly pie dough and cut up vegetables. It has done perfectly every time. I make all kinds of cuisine from French, Korean, Mexican, Indian and much, much more. This food processor has literally decimated the amount of time I spend in the kitchen chopping scallions, potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, onions, cilantro and much more. I've made several small pies for friends while testing this thing and it is so, so much better pulsing the butter & shortening into pea-sized bits using this machine. I love it. For reference I've attached two photos for this entry. I wanted to make a homemade breakfast with pancakes, sausage, eggs and hashbrowns. I sliced the potato in half and pushed it down the chute for potential shredded potato pieces. You can see the result in in my first photo. The second photo is a pulverized mix of onions, garlic, ginger and jalapeño for a chicken Karahi dish. I think I pulsed the machine 4-6 times. Done. If not for this thing, I'd be mincing away at the garlic forever not to mention the onions, japan and ginger. I'm in love and hopefully this thing will not give out on me like how some of these other posters are attesting to but I'm hopeful. I also take care of my things and do not abuse them. If you've never had a food processor before, or know someone who is old fashioned and chops things by hand, this is a very inexpensive gift that will pack a BIG practical punch :)

This food processor is NUT BUTTER KING!!
I bought this food processor for the sole purpose of making nut butters. Once washed and assembled, I had a jar of pecan and a jar of cashew nut butter in literally a few minutes! I'm beyond IMPRESSED with this machine. Every nut butter recipe I read said that the process would take at least 15-20 minutes, so I was prepared for the wait. I was also prepared to periodically take breaks to prevent the food processor from overheating, since I've heard that many less expensive food processors don't handle the job well. I don't know what kind of food processors those bloggers were using, but this little gem made me creamy cashew butter (using 10 oz bag of honey roasted cashews from Aldi) in less than 3 minutes and creamy pecan butter in less than 1 minute (using 8 oz bag of chopped pecans)!! I didn't even roast/heat the nuts before processing. If you're like me and want to know if this will work for nut butters then don't hesitate to buy this. Appliances like this prove that you don't always have to spend a lot of money for quality products!
