What can I say? I stream video games on twitch, play guitar and sing, and did a ton of research before buying this. I use an AT2035 microphone that requires an XLR cable. The Behringer lets me connect it to my PC via USB and mix my voice to remove all background noise, and have a crisp, clean, radio bass voice. Simple. No lag - I don't have to fool around with delays to match lip sound with my cam in OBS studio. No "virtual audio cables" or extra software to run = less CPU (which means more CPU power to run CPU intensive games) -- IF ... you only have one PC to stream and play with, that is. Yo, I could probably cut a music track vocally without having to run the vocals through an audio editing program like Logic, Adobe Audition or Sony Acid. -- AND ... I can hook up my electric Fender Strat guitar to it or my piano keyboard and record to boot. NOICE!

Love it! It has solved all my personal needs for a mixer, I'm mostly using it at home for family Karaoke - I haven't tried the USB, but for me that was a nice to have more than a need. Knowing about the cheaper non-USB version in retrospect, I probably would have purchased that one instead. So far it works well, I wish it did have an on/off switch and I thought the manual was kind of skimpy. Not a problem if you already know what you're doing, but for me I was hoping to learn a few things about mixing from the manual. Quality and sound are terrific!

I bought this for podcasting, and really it is overkill for that purpose. It certainly gives me better sound than if I were just using a USB mic, so it's definitely doing its job. If you are running a good home studio for a small band or a solo artist, then this is probably ideal. The interface is simple, though the instructions won't help you out very much if you are new to audio mixers. Thankfully you can learn a lot just through trial and error. Expect to spend a lot of time fiddling around learning how the entire EQ works. For a beginner, this was a great introduction to the world of basic sound mixers. The USB capability allows it to be plugged in and work right off the bad with most software, including Audacity and Garage Band. It gives you room to grow a little bit and learn about switching audio channels, using rudimentary effects and changing your levels. It won't overwhelm you, but if you've got a background in audio I imagine this isn't going to give you all the bells and whistles you will need. Podcasters could get away with less, since there are inputs for instruments that won't help you, but the ability to interface with either a PC or a recorder is nice, as is the ability to add in an FX package later on. Great for learning and growing.

The package arrived undamaged and within the estimated delivery window. It was well packaged in plain box with a box inside that with packaging bubbles to prevent any damage. I could track the package on Amazon and I knew when it would arrive. In the box: Mixer, power adapter and cord, USB cable and an easy to use instruction booklet. All the control dials are firm and adjust easy with no crackle. All the line inputs fit connectors firmly and insert and remove smoothly with no shoving or tugging. I use it to mix music playlists from my computer with a condenser type microphone and output with the Main Mix to a Stereo FM Transmitter. My condenser microphone requires 48 volt phantom power and this mixer has it. The USB interface works great but I wanted to use the graphic equalizer and other controls on the mixer to make all my adjustments to the audio signals so I use line inputs for everything. The sound is crystal clear and sharp with good base, treble and midrange response, with no hiss, hum or distortion. I use RFI EMI noise suppressors on all my cables to avoid interference from my transmitter and other sources. It took me awhile to get everything adjusted the way I wanted it to sound. The red light indicator for the phantom power stays lit for a while after turning it off and that can be a bit confusing. I wish the USB interface had all the same controls that the line inputs have.

I bought this as an easy solution to setting up a laptop with my current home theater for karaoke. For the purpose I bought it for I have am very happy with it with zero complaints. In all honesty I am not using this to its fullest potential, nor did I need an 8-channel mixer. I bought this version because it happened to be on sale and it has two XLR ports so I didn't have to worry about an XLR splitter or researching smaller mixers. It simply has anything I could possibly ever need. The non-USB version of this mixer can also be had at a discount with patience. I saw it a few days ago as a lightning deal for around $60.

I read a lot of reviews on here about loose power cables and static in the lines. I'm not sure if maybe they received defective products or the company has changed their designs. Firstly - I use this with a condenser style mic that requires phantom power. This mixer provides that and I have no static in the line or recordings through the USB interface. I don't have a lot of need for the compressor function but I do have it set to maybe 1/6 of the way on which is barely anything at all. Being able to control the high, mid and lows is a nice change from having to do everything in Audacity. I haven't used the FX options as of yet so I can't comment on that. There were some complaints about the Panning causing the audio to completely drop out when set to the right channel. This doesn't seem to be the case for me, however I did have to go into the Windows audio control panel and set the microphone properties to tell windows that the recording device was 2 channel. Otherwise it would cut out as I panned right on the channel. But this isn't an issue with the mixer, its the way that Windows defaults recording devices as single channel input. As for the power cord. Mine has a little nub on it and when I plug it into the mixer there is a positive seating feel. Enough so that I can lift the mixer from the power cord with no issues. No I don't recommend doing that, but it was a complaint I was seeing that doesn't seem to be the case for the mixer I received. Heat - this thing does get warm. There is no active cooling so that is to be expected. But it doesn't get melt your face off hot. I accidentally left the unit on and left the house for 8 hours. When I got home the unit was just luke warm. Nothing crazy. It just seems to get to a certain temp and then sits at that temp. So I do recommend this mixer. It has been a great investment so far and the members of my guild mention how much better the audio sounds on podcasts and videos. My only change was switching over to this mixer so it seems to be doing exactly what I wanted it to. My only suggestion is that if you have the little gel sticky feet to put them on the 4 corners of the unit. It does have the slightest wobble and I'm not sure if that's because of the unit or because of my desk, but adding the feet ensures that it doesn't make any unwanted noise AND gives it a little extra height off the desk to help with cooling.

When I connected the mixer for the first time I taught it was defective because it was producing an extremely annoying buzzing sound. However, after a little of troubleshooting, I found out the source of the buzz was a bad piano power cable. After replacing the cable, I turned back on the mixer. To my disbelief the output audio was super powerful and Crystal clear, It sounded amazing!!! I can't believe I was about to return it! It truly is worth the price :)))

Let me 1st say this review is strictly for USB connecting to laptop to setup my podcast. Sorry but I cannot help with additional trouble shooting outside of that or advice. YouTube is a great start for those needing help. This is Fantastic! I've been podcasting since 2011 and for years I've always wanted to get a mixer but wasn't sure where to begin. In time I finally hammered it down but then it was a question of affording one. I finally got myself in a position to get a mixer and for years my colleagues continued to go one and one about this baby. I've had mine now for almost 5 months now and it's worked perfectly. My setup is great as this mixer is connected to my Alienware version 17 laptop. It's a simple, easy setup to install the USB extension of the mixer to your laptop and the adapter end you plug into your wall. From there you just need a couple of sound jack cables for your sound input / output. I strongly recommend going to a place like Guitar Center cause for the cords I bought I was able to all I needed for 10 bucks because apparently they are always on sale. Combine that with this helpful YouTube video (link at the bottom) to understand your setup and you'll be ready to go in 10 minutes or less! If you are doing a 1 man show this is great! If you are doing a 2-man show with your co-host sitting behind you this is great as well. It comes extremely useful when bringing in a co-host or caller via skype. For microphone I use the Audio-Technica ATR-2100 USB as it as a great microphone for under $50.00 and with this mixer you get maximized & great sound quality from the mic. My only compliant is like the other reviews there is no ON/OFF switch. It's a drag because you have to remember to unplug the device from the backend. Sometimes I forget but the longest it's been left on was overnight while I slept but other than that I like it a lot. It sits on a flat, even surface for balance with my laptop and microphone, doesn't take up that much space and does perfectly what it needs to do. You won't be disapoointed! PLEASE NOTE: BEEN GETTING A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND I AM NO WIZARD WHEN IT COMES TO THIS. I ONLY KNOW OF THE TRADITIONAL SETUP WITH EVERYTHING I MENTIONED BEFORE AND DIRECTLY CONNECTING VIA USB SETUP. IF THIS DOES NOT HELP YOU PLEASE GO SEEK YOUTUBE VIDEOS FOR DIY VIDEOS. BEHRINGER XENYX Q802USB [...]

Works great as a tool to bring my entire band right into people's headphones. When we practice together, we all plug our instruments and mics into this mixer. The output is then routed to a headphone splitter and amp (BEHRINGER MICROAMP HA400) and eveyone plugs into that. My drums are all electronic and so we can play together with everyone hearing the entire band at the volume they want while nobody else in the neighborhood can hear us. In fact, we can play in my living room and nobody upstairs even is aware that we're practicing.

I am VERY happy with this purchase I really feel as I got a good value, this works so much better than my focusrite 2i2 because I get a better sound and I have much more control. Only issue which seems to be with all of these is that the bottom is not level so when this is sitting on my desk or any even surface when you touch the unit or press on the corner it will wobble. It really doesn't bother me much. I hope for future units they add a on/off switch on the back of the unit because currently this is constantly running 24/7 even when my computer is turned off.
