Versatile tool, not too soft, not too hard, just right. Easy to clean. Using 4 cold wax oil painting
You can see in the photos, the tulip shapes. I carved those out with this tool. It allowed me to take jus what I wanted, off. From the first use I used this tool the most, while starting to experiment & play with cold wax & oil paint. Wrong color choice? No problem - just firmly scrape it all down & wipe the wedge clean. Need a cool texture? Just turn & lightly move. The possibilities are endless. I wish / hope they make this in a slightly smaller size too.

Interesting tool for painting!
When painting, I like to use alternatives to paint brushes for experimentation. Previously, I had been using the flat surface on the 'backside' of paint tubes. I saw a YouTube video where an artist was using one of these wedges, so I decided to give it a shot. It allows you make some interesting gestures that 'smoothly' move the paint. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different for painting (particularly abstracts!).

my library card) was just as good, but no
I kept telling myself that an old hotel key (or in my case, my library card) was just as good, but no, this is better. Really glad I invested a few dollars here.

Super Results with this tool
Purchased this tool to make deep texture in my Cold Wax Paintings, not only does it work well for scoring, but it works well in adding interesting marks on cold wax on paper. Will be collecting more of these. The thickness and flexibility of this tool is great, not too soft. Well worth adding to your collecdtion.

Great for spreading gesso
This thing is terrific for spreading gesso. If you put a dollop of gesso (about 1/2 tablespoon or less) on your canvas, then quickly and firmly push the gesso around, using the square end to wipe up slop-overs onto the side and applying that at the corners, you can get a very smooth finish after several coats (I do 6) with no sanding. Works way better for this than a credit card. Ace!
