I bought this for my mom as a mother's day gift years ago. She fell in love with these chocolates. When my mom started chemotherapy she as severely sick and could not keep down food. I stocked her up on these caramels and it was the one food that she could eat with no problem. I swear that these chocolates are the only reason she did not lose a large amount of weight while battling leukemia. Each day she would eat quite a few which was just enough energy to keep her going. I still buy her several containers of these chocolates every year as she cannot live without them.

I love these! I can't eat too many because they would make me physically ill which is a great thing because I would have polished off the entire container in one sitting. As for flavor wise, the caramel reminds me of a Caramello candy but not quite as fluid, however, the taste is quite similar. The sea salt packs a nice punch with the combined chocolate and caramel flavors. The size of this delish treat is too big for a mouthful for me (but for some folks it would be one large bite) because it is so wonderful that I take several bites to savor it as long as possible. If you order it and don't like it, feel free to email me for my shipping address!

I received a Container from my Sister for Christmas. I can't stop eating them, I love the Delicious Chocolate, creamy full flavored caramel and that touch of Sea Salt. Shame on Me, I am working on my 3rd order lol. I have yet to receive a bad batch. And even if I did get some with Sea Salt missing, " So What," the chocolate and caramel are still worth the price of the candy. I would definitely serve these to my guest even if they the container had a few with missing salt. I am sure you would find enough in the container to share, how many can they possibly eat at one sitting. If you like your friends why would you want them to miss out on such a wonderful treat. So get going and buy these, you won't regret it.

We were first introduced to Sanders chocolates a few years ago by a friend from Michigan, and ever since they've be a staple snack in our home. The only problem with them is that it is very difficult to stop eating them once you get going, which in turn you'll pay for in the gym... It's a perfect blend of sweet and salty, just the right amount of chewy to where it makes you work but it won't stick to your teeth. The caramel is there but it's not overpowering by any means. Long story short, these are one of my favorite chocolates, and this comes from someone who lived in Belgium, the home of high-end chocolates, for 10 years.

Some of the negative reviewers here must be completely idiots. Their complaint is that the chocolates have a white tint to them so they must be bad. Hmmmm, hello McFly, but did you see the description of what you purchased? These are Sanders Dark Chocolate SEA SALT Caramels. Did it occur to any of these geniuses that the big chunks of sea salt on the outside of the chocolates may be the reason why the chocolates are whitish in color? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. A little common sense will tell you it's the salt because the flavor of these isn't compromised in the least. My wife loves the combination of dark chocolate, sea salt, and caramel and the reviews (sans the nincompoops) convinced me this was a great quality product. When she bit into one of these for the first time, it was like the heavens opened up and she'd never tasted anything like this before. I'll be reordering these periodically for the time being for my very happy wife. Yes these are pretty expensive, but it's worth every penny to get a product that is this good. The richness of the combination of flavors is tantalizing to the tastebuds and something you'll need to experience for yourself.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, a dear friend bought me a box of dark chocolate sea-salt caramels for my birthday. He'd found them at a local farmer's market, made by a woman who was cooking batches in the early morning kitchen of a late night bar and grill. They were exquisite. I spoke to her on the phone and ordered something like 40 of the things and got all my friends addicted. I ordered and shared. Ordered and hoarded. Ordered and reveled in their perfection. It was a glorious season of salty, chocolate-y goodness. Then, one day, tragedy struck. The phone was disconnected, the website unanswered. My phone rang off the hook from my legion of chocolate junkies wanting to know "When?" "Where?" "Whyyyyyyyy." The mystery was never solved. I have theories, of the conspiracy sort. I'll keep them to myself for now but suffice to say that I've been left unsatisfied by most available sea-salt caramels since. Fran's are delicious, but in that fussy, precious way that Tiffany gifts are. One or two others were close. So very close. I even tried making my own but if the caramels turned out perfect, the chocolate didn't temper correctly. If I perfected the chocolate, I mis-timed the caramels into either gooiness or hard candy. These aren't the same, but they have a similar feel. A certain roughness to the chocolate, a distinctly bold saltiness. Not for the faint of heart. The caramel is different. Darker, smokier than the pale gold carmelized caramel of my holy grail, but I like this version. It gives them their own character. If they'd been an exact match, it would have been like kissing the cute boy just because he looked like the boy who broke my heart. Too much the same without being the same. I've already assembled the boxes for the junkies. There shall be rejoicing.

Guess I got lucky, but I ordered my first purchase of this in December. I never order any chocolate products during the summer months because even if where you live is a reasonable temperature, you have no idea where the chocolate will travel before it gets to you. If I crave chocolate during the summer months, I just go to the store and buy some. The jar we received was in perfect condition and the chocolate caramels are delicious. We love that they are not overly sweet and ours had the coarse sea salt on nearly every piece. I'm not sure how long the jar will last because both my husband and I keep going to the jar. Great treat that I would definately purchase again, but not during the summer.

Best value! These are the absolute BEST chocolates I've ever had, and I am very picky. Not a fan of dark chocolate until I tried one of these, and the same for others in my family. Anyone who has tried these, is hooked!!! Comes in a HUGE tub like container. I have seen a small package at TJMAXX, for $4.00, and only 6-8 smaller sized chocolates! Value is unreal, taste is PHENOMENAL, this brand is the best. Now that salty things are the thing, I've tried many other dark chocolate /caramel with salt products, some from the best and biggest chocolatiers, THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!

Unlike other consumers, my two successive purchases arrived looking and tasting fresh and delicious. The too-convenient plastic container lends itself to bedside indulgence, but I wish it was more attractive for gift-giving! The price has nearly doubled since my last recent purchase, so I will not be buying them for awhile! Not nice, Amazon! You've just lost a customer....

Sanders is a name you can trust, so finding these was a score in the sweets department. This is a large container of delicious dark chocolate en-robed creamy caramel with a touch of sea salt. Don't worry about how they look. They get bounced around quite a bit in shipping, I'm sure. The salt leaves a little trail but it doesn't take away from the flavor of these. They are super decadent and you can be satisfied with only one, although the serving size is 2 at 140 calories per serving. More filling that a candy bar. Satisfy your sweet tooth and pick up a container of these. There is plenty to share or savor them all by yourself.
