Finally a fork that is safe for toddlers but can actually stab the food! It's been such a challenge to find a decent form but my toddler son has had great success with this fork. He really likes to use a fork like us adults and now he can actually be successful. The other plastic ones that came in sets never seemed to work but this metal option is great.

My son has issues with self feeding due to muscle weakness and coordination issues. These forks hands down work the best for him. They are durable and hold up to constant abuse. Grip is large and easy to hold on to. The price is so cheap and they work WAY better than all the other forks geared towards special needs kids. OT and PT both recommended and I'm so glad they did! We use the forks and spoons religiously in our house!

Our daughter was getting really frustrated with the plastic forks she was using (they couldn't stab the food so she could get it in her mouth). We decided a metal fork would be better. Not only is it much easier for her to stab the food but the rounded handle is super easy for her to hold onto and she's using it like a pro! Bonus: when you lay the fork on the table the top doesn't touch the table bc there is a built in rest on the handle. Very neat!

These forks are awesome and totally live up to all the 5-star reviews. They are easy for my former 32-weeker to wield and even though they aren't sharp, he's able to pierce food, finally, without frustration... from either of us (I'm looking at you, lame plastic baby forks!). This set is also easy to pack up and travel with (went through TSA without any problems). These forks are quick and easy enough to hand wash so I haven't observed how they'd hold up after repeated trips through the dishwasher, but they don't show any signs of wear so far and are holding up very well!

We’ve been doing baby led weaning (BLW) with my son since he was 6 months old. If you aren’t familiar, BLW is the idea that baby feeds themselves regular table food, no purées. As we were transitioning to pre-loaded forks and spoons these were perfect for my guy’s little hands. They are large enough for him to get a good grip on the handle, but short enough for him to be able to maneuver it into his mouth without worrying about stabbing or making himself gag.

These forks are the perfect size for a toddler. The rubber grip is kind of short and stubby, which helps small hands be able to grip easily. The stainless steel fork area is also wider, so my 2 year old is able to use it like a spoon as well with certain foods. Although the prongs are slightly rounded, he can pierce food like noodles and veggies easily. I love that it has the built in fork rest which keeps the fork from touching the table when sat down. The forks have been washed repeatedly in the dishwasher and I've had zero issues with them. The fact that it is also BPA free is wonderful.

My kids love these forks. These are easy for little hands to hold, and they are really durable forks. My 16-month-old son has taken quite a liking to eating his meals with a fork (or attempting to), and these metal forks are so much easier for him to spear the food with than the all-plastic forks that we have. My 3-year-old likes these too. We have these in two colors--pink and green--and both are cute. We just recently purchased more of these forks because we use them so often, but our original ones purchased 1-2 years ago are holding up just fine. The newest of these forks that we purchased have a new design feature, too: There is a little nubbin underneath the neck of the fork so if a child sets the fork down on a surface, the prongs of the fork won't touch the surface, thus eliminating contamination of the eating end of the fork with whatever bacteria or viruses might be on that surface. Of course, that only works if the child puts the fork down like an adult would and doesn't just throw it on the table, so it remains to be seen how useful this feature will be. But it's a nice thought.

My son started "using" these around 15 months and now (at 18 months) he always wants one with his meal. The handle shape fits well in his hand and the fork prongs are metal with a slightly blunted end so I don't have to work about him scratching himself in the face with it. That said, the prongs are still tapered and sturdy enough that he can stab pieces of food mostly without trouble. It does not work very well for things like salad greens, but let's face it those probably aren't going to be eaten most of the time anyway.

Love these forks. They are the perfect size for my two year old. She is easily able to grip them and they are sharp enough to actually stab the food, making it easier for her to eat. However they are also blunt enough that I'm not concerned about injury. They are easy to clean and durable as well. Definitely recommend these to parents with messy toddlers. This has helped mine eat with a lot less dropped food!

When my daughter started being able to manage grabbing food easily, I gave her a baby spoon. She loved playing with it but didn't actually eat much out of it. I thought a plastic spoon was safer than a fork in any form. Yes and no. Yes it's safer but it's harder for them to manage too. Soon after this she went to daycare for the first time. The day care owner said that she was ready for a fork and managed it quite well. Out I went to get more forks. I had several that came in sets with the spoons. They were plastic with big plastic tines (thats what the pokey bit of of the fork is called). Completely useless. If I can't use it to stab food what chance would she have? Then I saw the gerber graduates kiddy fork. They worked like a charm. Here I was thinking her hand/eye coordination wasn't up to it. Turns out it was bad forks. I think the recommendation was 18ths on the packaging, but she got started at 13 months and did fine. Initially I would put items on the fork for her then she would eat it. Now she is 18 months and uses it to stab all her food. Shes not had any injuries that were fork related. I bought another set and we have 6. I always keep one in the diaper bag for when we are eating out.
