Love this Case!
This is the third iPad case I have used. The first was just a case, nice enough, but I'm a touch typist. Need. A. Keyboard!! I ordered a cute little number in lime green. It was flimsy, Bluetooth almost never paired without 15 minutes of dinking around with it. Too small, I kept hitting the shift key instead of enter. Maddening! Now this. I'm in heaven. Bluetooth extremely responsive. Keyboard action, just fine (I do have small hands). I love that it has a nice grip to it (read: doesn't slide off your desk). The ability to detach the keyboard and leave at home if desired is cool, but I don't think I'll want to do without it. It is nice to have options, about how far away you can place it from the iPad though. The case also has the ability to hide small items in it without affecting the look or functionality of the case. For instance, I can stash the owner's manual behind the pad so I know where to find it. I can put reminder Post-its under the keyboard, to assist my ADHD brain. Nice looking, very functional, light weight...what more could a girl want?!! Oh, and the price was right!!!

This baby can bounce in and out of traffic and still purr like a kitten!
WOW. First of all, as soon as I set this up, I liked it, a lot. Its simple, no-frills, does what it is supposed to, and is sturdy. Did I say sturdy? Its a Sherman Tank! Oh -- yeah -- well let me tell you what happened today that really makes this sucker sturdy: I am a social worker. I work in people's homes helping them fix their kids. I often have a bag full of games and stuff I schlep in and out of the car to the home, and then back to the car. With my hands full, I put this on top of my car to stow everything away in the back seat before leaving. I pull out and am starting down the highway and am accelerating into traffic --- at about 30mph. Suddenly I hear a weird noise on the roof of the car, I look out the side-view mirror and am like ".... OH S*#T!!!" Yes, the I-Pad is crashing and tumbling down the middle of the four-lane highway, keyboard tumbling, bouncing through the air, I-Pad flipping end over end down the double line behind me. I jettison the car over the curb, executing the worlds fastest pull over, I LEAP OUT onto the road (its a company I-Pad that if I lose or it gets crushed, I have to pay for it!!!), I am dodging out into traffic, my hands waving frantically to stop speeding traffic - fortunately people did stop, and my device did not get run down .... like a nut, I scoop up the keyboard and the I-Pad, breathing heavily I dart back to my car, waving and mouthing gratefully, "THANK YOU, THANK YOU" to everyone who stopped. I get back to the car, and man-o-man, this baby is fine as silk. The I-Pad is still secure in the case, no issues, the keyboard is still intact, no issues and IT TUMBLED AT LEAST 20 FEET at thirty miles per hour into a four-lane highway!!!!!! I boot up the keyboard and test it. Works. Now is that what you would think would happen? NFW. I am still freaking out, could have been a huge problem. Thanks for letting me share, folks. Durable? --- Check! Sturdy? --- Check! Hell yes!!!! I have only had it for a couple of months now, but this is the best $40 I have ever spent. Its awesome. Now I need to get some more sleep so I don't do that again. Highly recommended!!!

I like it.
I had a similar item from Brookstone that was made of fake leather and cost 25'% more on sale. I did a great job for several years until the battery failed with no way that I could find to replace it. Brookstone stopped carrying the product and it was unmarked in any way to figure out where it came from. This case is similar but is made from what feels like high quality leather. If and when the battery fails on the keyboard, I now have a company that seems to care and who I can contact if any problem appears. I assume I can replace just the keyboard in the future when the battery fails.Out of the box, it works great. No problems and I like the magnets that hold the keyboard in several positions. I did see in another review that they said the home button wasn't perfectly lined up because the iPad dropped down slightly too far. I noticed the same thing, but easily fixed the problem by tightening the Velcro strap that holds the unit in place. I like the fact that the company offers a second year of warranty for writing and submitting a review of the product. Smart marketing.

Good case for a good price
I ordered this case to use with my refurb iPad 4th generation. My previous case was for my iPad 2 and did not include a keyboard. My previous case has lasted 5 years and did a good job at protecting my iPad. This case is a little more sturdy than my last case, so I am thinking that it will be good for protecting my current iPad. It was a snug fit to put the iPad into the case and it does not move around. The front border is a bit flared up, but I am pretty sure it will lie flat after a little while. This case does let my iPad get a bit warm, but no warmer than my last case allowed my previous iPad to heat up. The color is more red than the picture. It is great if you need to find it on a messy desk or in a huge purse or backpack. I am totally in LOVE with this keyboard. I really dreaded having to use the one that would pop up on my iPad. I reverted back to two finger typing and it was not fun. This keyboard fits my hands well. I am able to feel the keys and they are pretty sturdy. There are also some shortcut keys at the top of the keyboard that I have not had a chance to explore. I am able to use the case and keyboard to type while on my lap. I am also able to use it to type on a desk and tabletop. This case + keyboard is what I have needed to make my iPad much more useful. I am very glad that I made this purchase. It has given my iPad new life and taken it from a video/app/game tablet and made it much more powerful.

GREAT keyboard and case!
I was hesitant to purchase this off-brand product for my iPad (3rd generation), but I'm so glad I did! First, the keyboard is awesome. It's a reduced-sized keyboard to fit the iPad case, but it is not difficult to use at all; I adjusted very quickly. Like most keyboards, the "f" and "j" keys have little bumps on them to keep fingers positioned correctly. It is super-responsive; I have not noticed any lag. (I type at about 80 WPM, so faster typers may experience lag-- but I wouldn't know.) I love all of the functional keys, and I especially like the ability to adjust brightness without exiting or pausing an app! There's a home button key, and even a key that will start a slide show of photos in the camera roll-- not that I'll ever use that function, but it's still pretty cool. Pairing the keyboard is quick and easy-- nothing to it. Instructions for pairing are included, as well as list of all of the keyboard functions. I like that the keyboard is removable, too. In conjunction with the case, which doubles as a stand, the removable keyboard allows optimal positioning when the regular "laptop-style" position won't do. The case itself is very sturdy and looks nice. It closes with a little magnetic flap on front. As a stand, it can be positioned "laptop-style," as mentioned previously, and it can also be folded over to position the iPad at a much smaller angle, probably about 10 degrees (about the same as the smaller angle of the Apple SmartCover). The more I use it, the more I realize how much went into the design of this thing in order to make it as functional as possible. At the moment, I have it set up "laptop-style" on my lap while sitting on the sofa. In the photos, you can see that there is a flat surface in front of the keyboard when the cover is completely unfolded, which is good for using it on a table, but you can also fold that part into a little triangle beneath the keyboard, which, in my case, has created the perfect setup for my lap. If I had to mention one negative thing about this cover, it's that it does not have a magnet that turns off the iPad when the cover is closed, and the keyboard does not an auto-off feature. These are very minor complaints, and would never keep me from recommending this to someone else. Purchase with confidence-- I'm glad I did!

I am EXTREMELY happy with it for the following reasons
I purchased this product to use with my iPad while I travel. I am EXTREMELY happy with it for the following reasons: 1) The case is SOLID- my IPAD is super safe 2) It fit my IPAD 1st generation, AND my new IPAD Air- so it can be used with upgrades 3) It can be propped up to different heights 4) The keyboard is a perfect size and intuitive key placement. I am used to writing on a 15" Macbook Pro and this is comparable. There is no learning curve which makes writing much more efficient. 5) The keyboard is not attached (it does fit into the case, however), so I do not have to be at a desk to write. This is extremely convenient, as I can have the keyboard on my lap while the iPad is propped up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Ariel

Perfect fit, price, and functionality
PROS: I've been using this keyboard for a week now, and I am really enjoying it. This compact and incredibly compatible device (with my 4th generation iPad, model A1458) will change how I study and take notes on-the-go between work and my college classes. Additionally, this will lighten the load in my backpack and briefcase, which in turn will lessen any back pain that can come from carrying a full book bag while biking all around campus. The case feels nice and seems like it will last a while if you're careful—and I'm not a fan of faux leather, but the overall quality is great for the price. The keyboard is smaller than my macbook pro's keyboard, naturally, but it is definitely comfortable to use and the chiclet keys are immensely better than any silicone variant—the size may take some getting used to if you have large hands (my hand, pictured, is ~6.5" from bottom of palm to finger tip). Also, there is virtually no lag (<1 sec) in typing over bluetooth connection. CONS: I do wish that I did not have to reconnect my bluetooth key board every time it's left to idle too long and enters "sleep mode" (it seems to only take 10-15min before it disconnects). Additionally, I have not even come close to the halfway point for what you should be able to accomplish on a single charge, yet my keyboard battery light now flashes yellow when I turn it on (I've only used it a total of ~8 hours)—thankfully, I have not noticed any performance issues or any need to actually charge it yet, despite this. Also, the keyboard magnet is quite weak (it doesn't take a lot of jostling to dislodge it—only when the case is open).

My favorite case for my iPad 4
After searching products and pouring over reviews I finally settled in this case + keyboard for my iPad 4. I’ve had it a few months now and I have been very pleased with this purchase. The case is an excellent fit and holds the iPad snugly. The keyboard connected quickly and I haven’t experienced any drops or delays in the connection. As many have noted, the only con is that the groove for holding the tablet up could be deeper so there is occasionally some slipping - but this is very seldom in my usage and not an issue for me. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a well-made, secure case for your iPad 4.

Reliable, stylish, effortless & perfect for my arthritic hands
My one-word review of the Alpatronix KX100 Keyboard Case: Effortless I received the KX100 yesterday. Charging the Bluetooth keyboard was “effortless.” It charged fully within an hour and a half and paired to my iPad 4 “effortlessly.” Slipping the iPad into the vegan leather case was “effortless,” and the Velcro closure holds it securely in place. The case frame for the iPad doesn’t obscure any of the iPad’s screen (as some other keyboard cases I’ve used have done), and it’s designed so the iPad home button can be oriented for either left or right-handed users. Now, for the nitty-gritty: KEYBOARD The keyboard is a standard QWERTY keyboard with some nifty extra keys. No searching for how to type quotation marks, exclamation marks, or other non-alphanumeric keys. The keyboard is held in place on the case magnetically. It is easily removed for use away from the keyboard but is held firmly in place during use and transport. (I got good response from 10 feet away!) The response to key presses is immediate. A small light on the keyboard indicates that Caps Lock has been pressed. And, this is important to me, the keyboard is large enough that it is comfortable for my arthritic hands. I’ve been using the keyboard case consistently since I got the KX100 yesterday. It still works consistently and reliably. So far, with probably 5 hours of use, I still don’t have to recharge the keyboard. Oh, yes, it auto shuts off when not being used. If you leave it in the “on” position, you can restart it by pressing any key. CASE The vegan leather case is attractive and appears very well made and sturdy. EXTRA KEYS Above the number row, the keyboard has a number of keys you wouldn’t expect on a Bluetooth keyboard. You can easily switch to the home screen with one key press. Or increase/decrease brightness or volume. The media keys worked on YouTube, Spotify, and other apps. Or access the Find function in apps. An additional extra key allows you to switch to the onboard iPad keyboards when you’re in an app that takes keyboard input…including being able to dictate! I wholeheartedly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking to turn their iPad into a real work tool. I bought my first iPad several years ago for that purpose, but never it never realized that functionality. But now, my newest iPad has become an easily transported “laptop” thanks to the Alpatronix KX100 Keyboard Case. PS I can't comment on the durability since I haven't owned it long enough to do so. But from all appearances, it should last as long as my iPad.

Almost too good to be true, except it’s true
This thing may very well be the best purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. When my MacBook Air crashed and I didn’t have the money to replace it, I was devastated at the idea of having to use my iPad as my only computer. I brainstormed for a way to make the iPad as much like a laptop as possible, but I didn’t have much luck. Then I stumbled upon this item and read the reviews — skeptically, I admit, due to the low price. But I thought what the hey — I’ll give it a shot. This thing is a GODSEND. I don’t miss my MacBook *at all* after purchasing this. Perhaps the most incredible thing about this keyboard is that I’ve had it now for a full month and I have not once had to charge it. Right out of the box, this thing is still going on its original charge, and I use it for hours every single day. Unbelievable? Might seem so. Believe it.
