Pretty awesome buy for the money
I am someone who does not know how to play an instrument. I wanted to get into something just to sort of futz around with it. This product was perfect for me because it was priced reasonably and the light up keys help teach me to play. I cannot read music, so I really need this feature. If I were to buy a guitar or something, I would just stare at it. But it is relaxing to be able to sit down, turn on the instructional mode, and let it show me what to press. I can play music without knowing what I'm doing. It has been very relaxing. The sound quality is pretty good. I don't know what to compare it to, but I cannot complain. Some of the instrument settings (like when you switch it to, say, horns) are pretty sad attempts at the real thing, but I imagine all keyboards fall flat when it comes to this sort of feature. But I didn't buy it to play a horn, I bought it to sound like a piano, which it does pretty good with. It sits on the stand ok...a lot of people want the legs to lock into the keyboard, and that doesn't happen for me. But it sits on it nicely and doesn't move when I play. It is possible that I have the stand turned on its side instead, and if i change it, it might fit in ok, but I just have not thought to do that when I am near it so I have not yet tried. The headset that comes with this package is decent also. Add in the power cable, and I think it is worth it to get this bundle. i mean listen...yes, I could drop some money on a really nice stand, but I am an amateur and that would be a huge waste of money. The head set can keep me from feeling embarrassed from my neighbors also when I am playing more freestyle, and that is good. I just don't think it is worth it to try to buy these things separately. If I get serious about playing then I will probably look into buying a new stand. But, if you are just starting, don't let this dissuade you from this bundle. you need to put the keyboard on something, and unless you plan to jump around while playing, you are not going to dislodge it. The problem people are complaining about is that there are two grooves on the bottom for legs to snap into. if you put one leg in, the other doesn't line up. So i put one in and let the keyboard just sit on the other, and its just fine. Like I said, I am going to try to flip the stand on its "side" and see if the stand lines up better that way, I may just have it switched around. And everyone complaining might also. Solid buy, sounds good, good for a beginner.

Great Keyboard, Terrible Stand, Fantastic Amazon!
I waited to review this product since I was not 100% sure on how I felt. Anyway the 5 stars is for my overall satisfaction and incredible Amazon Experience. The key board is great! Its a perfect low cost introduction to piano for my kids and it works well. There are a lot of music options and features that they love. Here were the issues: (1) The key board arrived with no headphones - which surprised me, but I was okay with that because I wanted to hear my kids play and I had expected it would have been a cheap add-on any way. (2) The stand was something that concerned me. A lot of reviews commented on the stand and its flimsiness and how it was a non yamaha add-on, not designed for this keyboard, but there were other comments that suggested the problem had been fixed and that a new/better stand was included. Let me assure you that it has NOT been fixed. The stand is horrible - it is basically two metal tubes criss-crossed with smaller perpendicular tubes on top, acting as a the platform for the keyboard to rest on. There are tiny plastic pieces that are supposed to hold the key board in place. Not only is the stand lightweight and flimsy to begin with, but you tend to get the feeling that there is no way the keyboard won't slide off and go crashing to the floor. There are no clips, straps or anything else to hold the keyboard in place. So, it slides around and "jumps" the plastic pieces and never stays in place. This would be difficult for an adult and impossible for kids. I decided to return the keyboard only because of the stand, but contacted Amazon first, since the product came with a missing headset and did not want it to be an issue. The representative took time to understand my problem, apologized and amazingly offered me a brand new stand of my choice. Frankly, I was totally surprised and shocked. She pulled up and offered me some options around $20-$30, but they looked similar to the one I had - so I asked for this one - Stellar Labs 555-13830 Heavy Duty Keyboard Stand with Adjustable Width and Height - which was $37 + $12 shipping. I offered to pay the extra $20/$25 to get the better stand, but she said that would not be necessary and within 2 days I had this incredibly sturdy, heavy duty stand, all compliments of Amazon. I consider my self a fairly good customer, but was truly impressed that they went the extra mile and sent me a new stand of my choice completely free. It made me a stronger believer in Amazon. Yes, good customer service works and I will continue to be a loyal customer. I can only assume they don't do this every time, or for everyone, so I would suggest buying the keyboard separately and buying a stand separately.

nice weight to the keys
My kids started off playing this and are making giant leaps forward as they follow the directions, slow down the speed, and learn the notes. The preloaded songs are diverse, and the range of sounds is impressive. The construction has a solid quality to it, nice weight to the keys, structure isn't tippy. Very pleased with the piano. The headsets we bought are lighter than expected, and don't block outside noise, but do the job.

Great Feature-full Beginner Keyboard
Bought it as a gift for my wife. She always wanted a keyboard and learn to play. But it's so cool that me and our cat are using it too :) Here are some of our findings: PROs Listen & Learn is an amazing feature. You can adjust the learning style for yourself. Also, there's a great selection of songs you can learn. (100 classics) The flashing keys are very helpful for remembering how to play. You can also see which fingers to use on a little display. The keyboard automatically adjust the tempo during learning lessons making your first attempts sound less akward. Selection of sounds is huge. You can be creative in so many ways. Which brings me to the next point: There's an option to connect headphones if you want to practice alone or late at night. Sound on the speakers is loud and clear, but can't really say if it's amazing or just good, can't compare to other keyboards. Hard to say. No complaints there. CONs The stand that came in this package is not the best one and we dont even use it. We put the keyboard on a desk/table and it fit perfectly. Batteries don't really last long, so you're better off using the power adapter. Or use rechargable ones (have to switch a power option). Bonus: iPad Page Turner app is a nice bonus which may be useful or not depending on how deep you want to learn, but it's definitely cool. Few other apps that you may use or not are also nice. Option to connect to computer is there, but we haven't used it yet. There's definitely many features on the keyboard that will fit various needs!

Great Keyboard, Wrong Stand, Great Amazon Customer Service
The keyboard is amazing for the price and perfect for my 9yr old just learning to play. I did see the reviews regarding the stand and hoped it was just a fluke. Turns out that the stand mine came with was definitely the wrong stand for this keyboard and using it would be a very bad idea as the keyboard could easily fall off. So, I searched Amazon for the right stand and called up customer service. Jose S was extremely helpful and figured out a way for me to get the right stand at a net zero cost to me by giving me a discount/refund on my original purchase that included the wrong stand. I did make a recommendation that Amazon review this bundle and fix it to include the right stand, but I thought I would also include this information in a review to help others that may be having the same issue. The wrong stand I received in the bundle is World Tour Model WOR SXKS which only allows the keyboard to rest on top of it = bad idea. The CORRECT STAND IS WORLD TOUR MODEL WOR YXKS which fits perfectly on the keyboard and has screw knobs that screw into holes under the keyboard to correctly secure it to the stand = the way it should be. Hopefully Amazon will remedy the bundle so others can avoid the hassle and frustration, but if not call and explain this information to get the correct stand!

Good piano but now a fullsize
We've had this keyboard for about a year now and it still works great. Our child is moving along in lessons though and we will need to move up to a full size keyboard. I did not know there were different sizes or I would have purchased the bigger one to begin with. Great instrument though, light and easy to transport. The light up keys are fun all the different settings are great.

One of the BEST investments we've made, for sure!
We've had this for about 4 months now. I can honestly say that this is one of the best investments we've made! I'm even looking into getting one for my nephew this coming Christmas. My two oldest boys, and every one of their friends who walk into our house, LOVE learning the songs. I could not have asked for a better piano. The whole program is awesome. The whole fact that they can choose a song and hear themselves playing real music has encouraged them to want to learn more. They can choose to learn both parts, or just the right or left individually. I know this sounds a little cheesy, but this keyboard has sparked a love for learning an instrument in my boys. A couple of things I was worried about from reading a couple other reviews: 1. The key lights- I've found our keys where very bright, no matter what time of day and even with all the bright lights on in the room. 2. The headphones- great sound! Very clear. I even use them for other electronics. VERY pleased! 3. The stand- I thought for a starter it is just perfect. Ours is against a wall, but it's in a an area that gets high traffic and many days we'll have up to 12 kids(2-10yrs) RUNNING around it; not one issue.

Very pleased
Haven't had the opportunity to use it as much as I would like but I found everything about this to be enjoyable. My only dislike is not being able to attach the board to the stand so that does make it prone to being pushed off. But I suppose if it were attached then the whole thing might just fall over if bumped wrong and that wouldn't be good either. But as far as sound and feel and all of the noises/instruments it plays, I loved it. I even really liked the cheap head set that came with it. Would definitely recommend this product.

Best Keyboard Ever!
This is the best keyboard ever! It comes with 100 songs programmed into it, and it even teaches you how to play them! Then, when you're feeling confident enough, you can play them on your own, the stand is fine for me, and super easy to put together. I got the headphones, and I use the power adapter all the time. The cord is really short for it, but that just means that I have to put it by the wall. This keyboard also comes with a music holder piece, to rest your incredible book on top. The keyboard is huge, a little bigger than I expected, but great. The stand is also tall, but you can adjust it to your height. Don't spend $800 on those other keyboards, this is the best you can get, coming from a 15 year old.
