I had professional testing done by a local company, and this kit matched those results. This is the only consumer test I trust. I used the kit for dust and soil sampling. They mail you the exact levels. Very useful test.

I am very happy with this product and customer support from Schneider Labs. The kit includes a "parts per million" test because it is for things that are not supposed to be consumed (e.g. paint, soil, etc..) and it does not need to be as accurate. I was pleasantly surprised that they also offer a much more accurate "parts per billion" test for consumable samples, for a small additional fee of $25, so I decided to get some matcha green tea tested. Looking forward to using this test again and checking out other Schneider Labs products!

Great; trustworthy; helpful; easy to use

This is an excellent product. I did the sampling according to the instructions, sent it into the lab, and got a detailed report back in 10 days. The results were so helpful that I bought 3 more kits, took more samples and got the results back in a week. The results made sense - background level lead in the soil some distance from our old lead-painted shed, and huge levels (3000 ppm) right next to the shed, under the peeling paint. Made it clear that we need to remove the soil next to the shed when we remove it shortly. All in all, a great product, and I trust the results. You can also sample dust and paint chips using this kit.

Kit was the same as supplied directly by the lab/manufacturer, but Amazon's was less expensive

We'd previously bought these kits for lead dust sampling directly from Schneider. Amazon's were the same kit, but at a lower price. One limitation... Schneider has a 5-pack and a 10-pack. The 5-pack is suitable for a one-bedroom house or apartment. It would be a good idea for Amazon to have 10-packs as well, since most applications need the extra samples.
