Great Meter but the leads are not so great.
I purchased this meter in Aug. 2017 and it is still working well after 7-8 months later of weekly to daily use. I have very few cons about this meter. I don't like the fuse type and placement and I had to replace the leads. I also wish the backlight timer stayed on longer. Other than that, this thing is working well and I use it at least once a week. I wish these were around 15 years ago when I needed one for my job. I have used this in the rain and I have dropped it a few times and it has had no noticeable effects on its functionality. I have seen and heard people say they would not use it on live mains but I see no reason not to. This meter is safer than anything that was built before 1970 and I have no issue using it on 110-220 volts residential. I have read a lot of the reviews and I feel the majority of the negative ones are from folks who don't know what they are talking about. That's just my opinion of how I interpreted those who say this meter is "confusing" or "the interface is not very intuitive." This meters interface is not much different than 99% of the DVOM's on the market. I highly recommend it for anyone needing a backup meter or for use with automotive and hobby electronics. Just get a new set a leads and your good to go!

Lab Supplies are often an overlooked item.
Unbelievably good for this price. No transients observed during switch-on or off, but it take about 25-50msec to rise. That might not be fast enough for some folks, but I find it hard to imagine who they are. The most sensitive application that I can think of is for powering up FPGA's, where the speed and order of power rails is critical. This seems to meet all the needs for those devices that I can find, especially where prototyping is involved with repeated on/off operations. Just ensure there is enough margin capacity. If the system uses multiple FPGA's, then watch the available margin. 5A gives sufficient margin in all my applications, so I am very happy with the unit and the cost. I now have multiples of them. The power button is a cheap little really cheesy plastic button like you would have on a toy
I have used this product now for a while and have no complaints. It works well and is reasonably well constructed. There were only a couple of items that were a little off. The power button is a cheap little really cheesy plastic button like you would have on a toy. The other thing is that it takes a little while to get used to how the current knob works. For those buying this item I suggest strongly that you read the portion on the manual concerning how to use the current knob. Other than than a good buy for the money and it easily delivers the currents as required. I have tested all maximums.

Whoa, I am Impressed! Feature/Value Ridiculously Awesome!
This is a really, really good Digital Multimeter that has a LOT more functionality than I expected. You cannot beat the price for a DMM that segregates measurements for amps from voltage (necessary) and also has a correct, adequate fuse for safety-sake. Make no mistake, this is a multimeter that is good enough for professionals to use! I was surprised that the functions were not outlined totally in the description as there is a lot more than I bargained for and I am thankful for that! It has a "Non Contact Voltage" setting in which you can detect AC voltage without having to be unsafe (pic attached). There is a red/pink LED at the top that is inconspicuous and not obvious at all. I tried it out and voila, it worked perfectly! I picked this meter because it was safe and had the things that I wanted. The only thing I wish I had was a bar graph but I realize that is asking a bit much at this price-point. I checked the accuracy with 2 other meters that I trust and it was spot on. The probes feel nice and give me confidence to use them without worrying about them breaking or shorting out. In all, I 100% recommend! The manual is in English (proper, grammatical English) and is extremely helpful. Buy this with confidence!!

Dr.MeterĀ® Triple Linear Variable DC Power...
Very happy with the power supply. Two 0-30V outputs up to 5A each and one fixed 5V output. Very handy for working and testing micro controller based projects as you have 5V output dedicated to just uC only and two rails for, lets say, testing N-Channel mosfets in high switch modes/applications, which require, lets say 12V and, lets say, 10V above the rail to turn the mosfet on. Displays current as well. I have another single channel power supply of different brand, but I call it noise generator as it has huge amount of noise and ripple, when I attached it to my oscilloscope, but Dr. Meter is very smooth, which is a huge plus. I find this power supply very handy and would recommend to any electronics enthusiast or even professionals on budget.

Still works like day one
One Word > Accurate ! My Simpson-260-multimeter-vom-volt-ohm-meter, agrees, > this has been my bench mark for the last 40 years. +/-, <1 % > i can live with . The Simpson is big and heavy and now occupy s a velvet spot on my work bench ! ... Still works like day one. > yearly accuracy checks ! The Dr. Meter is much more tool box friendly and I would recommend to any tech looking for a quality product.!!!

Operates on 9 Volts but can't check Microwave Diode/Rectifiers. A good average meter!
FYI for all my Brother Appliance Techs: I purchased this meter because it uses a 9vdc battery. In the hopes it would be able to check microwave oven diode/rectifiers like my M110 UEI analog meter. WRONG it doesn't! Keep on searching! Great price. I'll use it around the house.. 2/15/17 UPDATE*** I have used the meter for a few weeks and have come to this conclusion: It is a well made and easy meter to use. The seller has contacted me about the inability of the meter to read a microwave diode and as forwarded this info to design engineers for review. I have updated my rating from 3 to 5.

Very useful but a little on the larger size
This meter has a nice bundle of features that are somewhat lacking in most other multimeters. The duty cycle % function is a good example and very useful for looking at PWM functions. Also the handy plug in module for hFE transistor testing is a definite plus. Auto power off and the backlight function are great. Be aware that the battery shipped with the meter might not be the one you want to install. Mine was not up to the task. You should also note that the meter is quite a bit larger than other multimeters, but it has nice cushioning all around and a nice kickstand that actually holds the meter at a decent angle.

An absolutely amazing multimeter for the price.
This multimeter far exceeded my expectations. It's a full size device with a decently rugged build. I'm sure this will work well for years to come. The backlight is bright as well. Easy to read, easy to use. The leads can be attached on the back as well. I truly love the feature that can detect electric power simply by holding the meter near a wire. Determine if a socket is hot without having to probe it. Really nice time saver and safer as well. It's more meter than I'll ever need and a great value. My only critique is that there is a small adapter to allow some special types of tests. I don't know how to use that, but I probably have absolutely no use for that anyway. :)

Yeah., this is a solid product. I am happy.
I will cover cons first: * setting of the CC / CV is done by ... as far as I can tell... running the circuit (or shorting it out) and then dialing in what you want. In other words., the display only shows what is actually coming out so dial it up before connecting anything important. * Fine tuning... nope.. * Enable/Disable Power (per channel or globally) would be really useful. * No (as far as I could tell) good teardowns of this on youtube. I might do it soon, but for now, as it is my only functioning supply, the cover is staying on. * Complete and utter lack of USB power supply connector for my phone, wifi connectivity for remote monitoring, or built in coffee holders.. Sheesh! Ok., Pros: * It works! No magic smoke! Almost no overshoot on my initial tests. While I do not have a bench constant load module, what limited tests I have done seem to work very well. * I did not realize this., but it does NOT have a fan (or if it does, I have never heard it). It has huge heat-sinks on the back. If I had known this, I would have bought it even faster. * Love the analog knobs (while not fine tuned) they do not wobble around * Clear display of current and voltage output, color coded, is exactly what the Doctor ordered :) * Binding Posts are not the best, but are solid, properly spaced (for me, at least), and everything stays tight and stable. * Peering through the grating, It appears that this has one big ol toroidal transformer laying horizontally in the center of this. Perfect. * Not that important, but the overall style of the design reminds me of high quality, state of the art 1980's equipment. Except for the big Orange power button. In short.. (which incidentally works fine with this, of course) .. I have to give this an unexpected thumbs up. While it is nowhere near the Rigol class, for a hobbyist, this is a rock solid power supply. I will (obviously) follow this review up with an addendum if it blows up on me.
