Good value and quality
Just bought it. Had Amazon assemble. Is great. Well built. I bought this model because of the door in the front. I think it looks sharper than the open format they now have on the new model. Grilled steaks on it and came out excellent. The even-ness of the heat is what makes Weber the best value in this price-range. The only thing I would change on this model is to have the handrail be made from steel-it is now plastic. It probably is better for heat, but it is cheap looking and feeling. Other than that, rock-solid.

High Quality Grill
It was time to replace my old rusting Char-Broil grill and this doesn't disappoint. Assembly was easy enough and everything fit perfectly (no misaligned holes or anything). The grill seems very well made and works great. I'm a fan or the flat-surface grates and this grill doesn't have significant hot-spots. As usual the center will be a little warmer, but it's not night and day like a lot of grills. This thing heats up quickly and gets very hot. You'll crack 600 degrees on high, and even at half-burner it'll be over 400. It's easy to dial in the temperature you want once you get used to it. The price on Weber grills seems hard to swallow, and I don't know that they're twice the grill, compared to items half the price. That said, I'm glad I got this and it seems like it'll be good for a decade of grilling. A note about cooking area. Not sure what people need 5-burner grills for. This has plenty of space to quickly grill up burgers and dogs for a dozen people or more. I wouldn't be looking to borrow a second grill unless I was entertaining 20+ people. If you're thinking about spending more on a bigger model, check your ego and realize you probably don't need it.

First and best grill i have ever had
Im not mechanically inclined but put this together in about 2 hrs and the instructions were clear. I've had it 6 months from November into April and just did a good deep cleaning. Its easy to take apart for cleaning and i would surely recommend the weber sprays to get the grease off the grate and the inside. If you are cooking small veggies they will fall in between the grates such as brussel sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower so get one of the veggie cooking pads to prevent that. It has 3 burners and gets to 500 degrees in no time. Again i have to say the assembly wasnt hard and taking it apart to deep clean it is a breeze. An additional feature i really like is the gauge which tells you how much propane you have left (which is basically a scale based on how heavy the propane tank is, as it gets lighter the scale tells you to start getting ready to replace it). You wont know exactly how much gas you have left but its a good indicator and better than nothing. I bought the weber cover that goes with it and kept it outside all winter in Chicago and its still working like a champ and we are talking sub zero temps and alot of snow. I even grilled during the winter and had no problems. I have 3 kids and a wife and theres plenty of room for all the chicken, burgers and hot dogs we would need

This is one of my better buys this year
This is one of my better buys this year. Very happy with the quality and amazed how well it cooks everything. Electric igniter is working great and never have problem with starting. Easy for me to assemble. Very Happy.

I did a good deal of research before making this purchase
I did a good deal of research before making this purchase. I looked in retail settings at various models, and concluded that the older Spirit E310 had the features I most wanted, including a closed base. I was fortunate to find this discontinued model on Amazon. Although it took about 2 weeks for it to arrive, it does not disappoint. The grill comes needing assembly, but it was a simple process, and the fit and finish of components was top quality. There were a couple of items damaged in transit [the door and the igniter] but both were readily replaced by Weber [fabulous customer service, by the way] without any issue or cost to me. As for the grill itself, I can't say enough positive about it. It heats very quickly - as in 5-10 minutes, and is very adjustable with its excellent thermometer. The porcelain coated cooking surface is excellent, and cleans easily. Even the grease management system is well thought out and works perfectly, dropping the nasties into a small disposable foil pan [sold at big box for $6 for 10]. My previous grill was a high quality Vermont Castings, but this grill puts my old one to shame. As I was looking over various grills in the local big box, an older gent came over to me, just to say "buy a Weber, you won't regret it". He was right. Now, as for downsides, the newer model Spirit II has an open base, which I didn't want. Having looked at the newer model in person, and now owning this one, I think that perhaps Weber has cut some corners as it introduced the Spirit II. My guess is that the door was somewhat frequently damaged in shipping, and so they eliminated it. Otherwise, I can't figure why it is better to have that little grease pan exposed to various critters. Anyway, bottom line, I am delighted with my grill, have put it through various paces including grilling fish, chicken, steak, corn, and pineapple, and whatever I throw in it, it handles well. I could not be happier with this purchase. Kudos to Weber and their excellent customer service.

Crazy great grill!!
You can't beat a weber!! Great grill but it's not as easy to put together as I have read! Had some dents on the grill. Had to take the rubber mallet to bend the dents out! I would say if you can buy it already put together I recommend it! Same price less work!

Weber lived up to the reputation so far
I have kicked the tires on a new grill for the last few years deciding between cheap Chinese garbage and a nicer Weber or Broil King. I decided on this one and have been pleasantly surprised so far that the Weber's really live up to their reputation...of course time will tell on durability. The packing was excellent and all parts went together without a problem. This model was better for me since I don't like the new model design with no doors to protect stuff underneath. This is a real dealbreaker for me with the current gen Webers. I also have no use for iGrill, which is expensive and you need to purchase separately on current models. I purchased a Tenergy Solis thermometer for about $35 that is better than iGrill and cheaper too vs. $85. Strongly recommend this model as long as they have them left.

Highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about this grill; it's beautiful, well-constructed, starts easily and consistently, and reaches the highest temperature in less than 15 minutes. It was delivered through Amazon and arrived in mint condition. I had initially hired someone to assemble the grill, but when they couldn't keep the appointed time, I decided to assemble myself. I'm a "senior" woman, who doesn't use tools too often so I had doubts if I could do this. Yes, there are a lot of nuts, screws and pieces...and yes, there were a lot of steps (25) to assemble, but the instructions that came with this grill were GREAT: clear, intuitive and EASY to follow!! Possibly the best-written assembly instructions I've ever used! I was extremely careful to do it correctly, so it might have taken longer than most, but I finished in a little over 2 hours WITHOUT feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. Also, since I did it myself, I know every facet of the grill and feel it may help in the future if I ever need to troubleshoot anything. Regarding the price...in the case of grills, I say, you get what you pay for. My last Weber grill far out-lasted my friend's cheaper grills, always lit on the first click, and maintained even cooking temps. For all these reasons, without hesitation, I recommend this grill!

Meets all my expectations
To start out I looked at many grills in home improvement stores and found most of them cheap quality and to have short warranty's. I decided that if I was going to purchase a new one I wanted something that would last at least 10 years of regular year round use. I looked at a Genesis model E-310 but the $200 higher price tag prevented serious consideration so I then started looking at the Spirit line. Initially I considered the 2 burner Spirit E-210 but decided that I would outgrow it quickly so the E-310 was the obvious choice. I have grilled on my new Spirit E-310 about a dozen times now and am very pleased with it. In the near Zero degree weather that Chicago has been experiencing lately it gets to 525 degrees in 15 minutes on high and is very even heating. I would not hesitate to recommend this grill to anyone that values quality and a excellent warranty above added bells and whistles.

Nice grill for 2 of us
I used to buy whatever gas grill was on sale, avoiding the more expensive Weber grills, but got tired of them either rusting out around the grill housing, bolts rusting, and burners wearing out and having to buy replacements. This grill is really well made. Heavy and solid, well thought out construction and stainless steel components. I found the assembly instructions to be put together well with pictures and easy to understand. Having said that, it still took me over an hour to put it together. There are lots of screws, nuts, bolts and I thought that is why it took so long. By the way, the hardware is all top notch rust proofed. They didn't skimp and give cheap stuff to put it together, and that will serve in the long run. The only complaint I have is a dent in the bottom panel, and the door, both of which I got compensated for. Probably caused by the heavy weight of the grill itself during shipping. Usually I would be totally put off by having dented items, but I was so impressed with the quality of construction and materials that I was able to overlook the dents...the grill is that nice. Still, I wish the price was a little less than the $500 I paid. I'm happy though.
