Was a gift for a Daughter, she loves them.

Great quality as I expected
This is a great starter set. I would have rather seen a 6" boning knife instead of the small bread knife though. Rusting is not an issue if you know better than washing good knives in a dishwasher. Good knives are tools that should always be hand washed and dried. Well worth the money.

Fantastic knife set.
Balanced. The chopping and chef's knife balance about a finger width behind the blade. This makes for excellent control and feel as you are cutting through anything. The set, overall, is the best knife set I have owned and I have been through several. They are beautiful in design, feel excellent in the hand, and go through any veg/protein/other without any problem at all. Unless you are looking to build a set with individual pieces, you're not going to find a better set of knives than this. The only slight criticism I can level is that, straight from the box, they are not as sharp as they could be. Take a few minutes and hone the blades. It will not take long before they are capable of shaving the hair from your arm (tested and verified).

Very nice knives!
My husband is a retired chef. He is cooking all the time. We had good knives, but they were very old and very dull. I saw these and they happened to be on sale! So glad I bought them. The block alone can be what I paid for the block and the knives. My husband loves them.

Great price for a quality knife set
Great price for a quality knife set ... which, compared to our previous Zwilling set, the knives are a lot heavier and sharper = we recommend that this set is used by mature adults only ... but we like the construction and utility very much!

Amazing set for the price!
This knife set is awesome! I'm a pretty serious home cook and I wanted a quality knife set that would perform well and last a long time. So far, these fit the bill. Out of the box, they feel solid and comfortable in the hand. They come SUPER SHARP! My wife uses a pairing knife to peel potatoes and she used the knife from this set for the first time. I told her to be careful because I'm sure the knife she had been using before was as dull as a butter knife. Of course, she almost cut her finger off because she was using too much force. She doesn't believe me that a sharp knife is safer than a dull one. I did purchase a honing/sharpening center with the set but so far I haven't needed it. The kitchen shears are also a nice addition to break down whole chickens and are also super sharp. I think that these knives will perform well for a long time and will definitely purchase other items from this company.

Good for the price.
Nice for the price. I've had real Henkels before, I purchased them when I was in Culinary School. They cost over $600 for a even smaller set. This of course are stamped, not forged but it is nice because they are so much lighter. No, they are not the Henkels your probably familiar with but you should know that based on the price. They practically cost the same as the Rachel Ray set at Walmart. For an affordable knife block set I think they look really good and are sharp. What more do you want?

Super sharp, and great quality for the price, meal prep is effortless!
I use these knives several times a day, and I love them! I see a lot of reviews on here from people disappointed that these aren’t the old Henkel’s they are used to from 20 years ago. That’s because they are not. These aren’t the twins. If you’re a professional chef, these likely aren’t the knives you’re bringing to work. If, however, like me you’re prepping and cooking 2-3 meals a day for your family, these are an excellent option! They slice right through tomatoes without resistance, and I can effortlessly get paper thin slices of onion as needed. Preference varies from person to person on whether they prefer a weightier knife, or a lighter one. These are lighter, and I prefer it that way. They aren’t for hacking through meat, but slice a nice steak and are excellent for butterflying pork chops. As with any other knife, if you’re letting it sit dirty overnight on the counter, soaking in water, or throwing it in the dishwasher, as with any other knife in the world, they will dull, chip, and begin to stain. With enough abuse, you can rust stainless steel. Knife preference varies from person to person. It’s a good idea to do your research, physically hold a knife in your hand before buying it. These knives are perfectly balanced. If you prefer a heavy knife, and buy a lighter knife, you will be disappointed. If like me, you’re looking for a quality, domestic knife that is lighter, and will help you effortlessly glide You through meal prep several times a day, these are a great choice! Hope this helps.

I love these so far
I love these so far. I've only had them a couple of months but love the weight and feel of them. They are plenty sharp for me. I know there are far more expensive knives that are much sharper but I can be a bit of a klutz so I don't need anything sharper. They have worked well and I hand wash and dry them and I feel like I got a great set of knives for the money.
