I just love my little cocotte! My daughters gave me a large cocotte for Christmas, and that got me hooked on this easy way of tossing together a tasty, healthy meal. With the little cocotte, I can make a meal just for me. I use it all the time. I don't enjoy spending a lot of time in the kitchen, but I love to eat. In the past I often used the crockpot for ease in cooking, but it takes time (slow cooking). With the cocotte you can toss in meat and/or veggies with rice, couscous etc. and have a meal in 20-30 minutes (45 minutes with my large cocotte). I found some great dutch oven/cocotte recipe books at my local library and am eating better than ever before. I had salmon with broccoli and couscous yesterday. I'm thinking chicken tonight with whatever veggies I have in the crisper drawer. Buy one today and enjoy!

I ordered this lovely pan in December 2017. It was a grand decision! Had also ordered a "preseasoned" cast iron pan a few weeks later from Lodge. I had seasoned the cast this "preseasoned cast iron pan about four different times - which took about an hour in the oven eachtime. With each use of this "preseasoned" pan it was a chore to get it clean..to much work. Now, this cobalt blue enameled cast iron pan is a dream to cook with and clean up is quick. If anything sticks just let it soak and clean with NON ABRASIVE scrubber and voilla...good as new! I no longer use the other cast iron pan. Everything cooks, sautes and bakes beautifully with this enameled pan. Love having the lid. The pan is a two handed pan but it will surely last a lifetime. Good job Tramontina!!

I almost did not get this because I thought it was just regular cast iron on the inside and I wanted enamel covered. It wasn't until I reread the description that I saw it is black enamel. I am guessing a lot of people overlook that because we have become so used to seeing the white enamel on the inside. Mine did not come with any pitting like other described. I was looking for a large skillet that I could cook chicken breast with veggies, and other similar meals in. This is PERFECT for that. It is a great size. It heats evenly and I couldn't love it more!

After almost two months, I have enjoyed about a dozen meals using this braiser. It cooks evenly, has no signs of wear, is what I was hoping for when purchasing an enameled cast iron braiser. Rich meals with comforting flavors. For the price and versatility it brings to the kitchen during a cold winter, this was definitely worth the purchase.

I have only used this pan once since it's purchase it but I love how it worked. I grilled hot dogs in it and it worked great. It is a bit smaller then my last, nonstick, grill pan, but I can deal with the size. It's cast iron and the weight may be a problem for some but for the way it cooks I will deal with the weight. The clean up was a breeze. No soaking, once it cooled I used straight hot water from the tap and a bit of soap with a scrub brush. I was sure to dry it like my traditonal cast iron pans. Note to that the handles do get hot, you will need pot holders. This is my fourth Tramontina enamel coated cast Iron pan that I have purchased and I love them all thus far. The blue color is very pretty, but I was looking to find an off white one to match my off white stock pots. I wish more color choices were available. It is hard to tell that it has an enameled coating on the inside since has a rough texture and it's black, just have to take the word of the comapany. But it did clean up easily like my other pans with the white enamel inside.

I love this Braiser. I cook chicken in it, bake biscuits, casseroles. I am giving one to my sister for Christmas and I plan on a second one for my kitchen. They have a couple other items as well, that I am going to add and give as gifts!

Some of the amazon pages get confusing when they have multiple versions products by the same manufacturer. I returned this because it was not the model I wanted. However, I can guarantee it is a very good product. I returned it for the dutch oven - which is also great. If the dutch oven, which is of similar construction, is any indicator, then this is a really good product. I've used it many times - no chips in the enamel (yet) and easy to clean. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is no seasoning/enamel on the rim of the lid. Do yourself a favor and season it with a light coat of... whatever oil/fat you like to season with. BIG BONUS -- really good price point.

I have used this pan everyday since I recently got it. I have an induction cooktop and it works great on it. It is basically non stick and very easy to clean. I like the the extra handle on the side which helps me place it gently on the glass cooktop also the finish on the bottom is smooth and won't scratch like regular cast iron. As a bonus, I'm enjoying the bright red pop of color in my kitchen.

This sauce pan is beautiful. I am very pleased with my purchase. It cooks food evenly and quickly. I plan to acquire a complete set. I have had Le creuset and Chantal. This is by far prettier and alot less expensive. The color is a gorgeous colonial blue but it has a nice brilliance to the color. I guarantee you are going to love this and the prices. Much more cook friendly than Paula Deen and Rachael Ray. Especially, if on occasion you forget and have overcook and burn...your food maybe overcooked but this pot cleanses easily. Unlike my Le creuset which required cleansers and soaking. I am very satisfied. This IS ONE PRETTY POT GIRLS. You'll love it! I had their lighter style pots, great also.

The only thing wrong with this pan is that now i want two. It is like a deep 12 inch skillet with a lid, and is great for everything.
