Works Fine -- Read This Regarding the Negative Reviews
This is just the cable, with a USB-A connector on one end and the Apple proprietary connector on the other. The cable does not determine charge speed or regulate electric current. So the reviews saying the cable got hot or that it chared too slow are blaming the cable when the fault lies in the USB port the cable is plugged into, or the USB power "cube" which is being used. Those power cubes and USB ports are not created equal. Some will put out .5A, some will put out 1A, and some will put out 2A. You should be using a USB port or cube that outputs the amperage your device is designed for. If you use a 2A power port on a device designed to charge at 1A, it is going to charge much faster but also get the device hotter than it is designed. That said, some USB power ports are "smart", meaning they have circuitry to detect what amperage is needed by the device on the other end. Likewise, if your device is designed to charge with 2A and your USB port delivers only a half amp, it is going to charge very slowly. If the device is in use, it might not even charge at all (because the power required while the device is in use is more than half an amp). Apple rates USB power in terms of watts, not amps. USB power cubes deliver 5 volts, so a 2A cube would be 10W., a power cube that delivers 1A is 5W, and one that delivers .5A is 2.5W. The bottom line is, you should find out what power amps or watts your device needs and make sure that the USB port you are plugging into matches that -- and if so you will have perfect results with this cable. If you don't do that, your mileage may vary and you might be putting your device at risk.

Works with an original iPad
I have an (don't laugh) original iPad that would only charge with the original cable, which had become frayed and was no longer usable. I have purchased at least a half dozen other charge cables that claim to work with an original iPad, but my iPad would say it was unsupported, and would not charge. I had pretty much given up hope that I would find a cable that would work, but decided to try again. I was surprised and pleased that this cable works perfectly.

perfect fit, works great for my first Apple product
The cable is long enough, my laptop recognized quickly and started charging immediately. Very satisfied customer, thank you very much.

Excellent producr
This is the most reliable charging connector for my third generation iPad that I have found, after wearing out two other models. The charging wire is reinforced at the plug (unlike the Apple model that came with the iPad) and the plug fits snugly into the charging socket and stays put (unlike a different model I had tried). I highly recommend this.

Will Not Fit All The Way In
Original Review: The plug will not fit all the way in to the iPad - only one side will plug in. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the plug and the Apple cable plugs in just fine. After the original review, the seller contacted me and offered a replacement or a full refund. I'm not sure why the cable wouldn't fit - it fitted a Gen 1 iPad but not our Gen 3 iPad. I couldn't see anything wrong with the connector or the iPad socket. The connector looked just the same as the Apple cable connector. A mystery. Great customer service. Thanks.

Great replacement cord
This is a great replacement for my original iPad charger! My cat LOVES TO CHEW my cords! I don't love it so much! I had my iPad charging cord for over a year before she took 2 bites out of it and forced me to replace it! This cord was recognized immediately. It's charging my iPad just like the original one did. It may be a bit shorter... not 100% sure. It's a bit thicker than the original. The plug end fits snugly into the ipad, not too tight.. not forced..no wiggle though. Of course, the usb end works well too. I hope the cat leaves this one alone... I know where to get my replacements! Thank you! I received this at a discount for my unbiased review.

A surprisingly high quality cord.
This basic cord lasted much longer than those like it that have a tendency to bend hard and break just where the plug goes into your unit. This cord lasted longer than two Apple brand cords. Next time, I will buy a few so I always have a spare. And it comes with a clever loop that you can Velcro it to other things with. Such a clever idea.

An excellent product at an economical price
The iPad2 charger cable I bought last summer suddenly failed last week and I started my search for a replacement. I knew I wasn't about to pay the $20.00 that my local retailer charges. In 15 minutes on Amazon, I found the above named cable costing only $7.99 including shiping, just one of many ranging from this price and up as high as $15. The product arrived one day later than promised due to the weather in the midwest. I took one brief moment to examine this simple and small product. I have very little background in technology despite having used computers almost daily for over 25 yearsy. Regardless, this charger cable was very easy to connect and it charged my iPad up from 5% to 100% in less than one hour. Money well spent for an excellent device. I recommend it to anyone in the similar situation.

You will want a wall adapter for USB to the wall power outlet, if you don't already have one.
Great product. I got an Ipad from my work, but they did not have any chargers. They told me to buy one and they would cover the cost. Just as a few notes, You will want a wall adapter for USB to the wall power outlet. *I already had a wall adapter for USB. When you plug an ipad into a computer or laptop it will not charge unless its turned off or not in use. Charging from a laptop or computer can take a very long time, but the ipad battery is very good. Just make sure you develop a charging routine.

Works well
I've had some bad experiences with off brand Ipod chargers in the past but there isn't much of a choice for the older devices. I use this for my 3rd generation ITouch and it works great so far after about a week of use. It charges, connects to my pc and connects to my car without any issues. It even has a little Velcro strap attached to it for travel. I'm very pleased with this product.
