Left handed husband was a little awkward with my chef knives. This knife is weighted differently and makes chopping much easier for him.

Very nice!

It's really a nice left handed knife to have. Great balance.

amazing knife, makes cutting the fish easy a.d smooth..

Great knife. The back is concave, as a true single-bevel knife should be. I was pleasantly surprised at this, because I have seen another low-price Deba that was flat on the back side, which makes it difficult and lengthy to sharpen. Th knife looks and feels great. The handle is wood, I followed the grains all around the entire length and though the back because someone had posted that it was plastic handle. Maybe the makers have switched to wood, maybe they created plastic with great attention to detail in creating wood details in the entire handle (not likely). I have used it, and it cuts paper like easily. I'll enjoy using it and sharpening it. If I use it so much that I wear it out, then I'll invest in a more expensive version, or maybe another one of the same knife, depending on the long-term exoerience with it. It looks and works as well as much more expensive knives right out of the box. I have just received it, so the above is just firs impression, but I am happy I bought it.

A left handed Deba! What's not to love. This is the least expensive Japanese knife I have ever purchased. For the price paid, it is good value.
