This was the first humidor that I have bought. I'm very happy with my purchase. It holds steady at around 70% humidity. It looks really good and is of good quality, especially considering the price. The customer service by MIDDLEBROOK is amazing. They really go out of their way.

I bought this for myself as my first humidor after looking at quite a few online retailers. The price and features seemed right, and after living with it for a couple months I still feel the same. I’ll try to briefly break it down into a few categories regarding this box... Price: the price is fine at around $40, for a simple box with one divider I wouldn’t want to pay much more. Seal/Stability: the seal is strong and reliable, when you introduce new sticks the RH will likely drop a bit, but it comes right back up and stays very consistent throughout the day (as long as you keep it out of the sunlight and ambient temp is acceptable). Capacity: I’ve read that these store quite a bit less than advertised, but that has not been my experience. All of my sticks are 50-54 ring gauge and the pictures show exactly 30 cigars in it. I could comfortably fit another 10 pack in there no problem, maybe a few more small Rothschilds or Robustos. So capacity is fine in my book! I run it basically wide open, only using the divider to keep my humidifier packs out of the way. Quality/Appearance: this box has a nice heft to it, it does not feel cheap. All of the hinges are well made, as is the glass top, and the corners meet up perfectly. The Spanish cedar lining is probably thin but more than acceptable. The finish is a deep cherry color and the grain of the wood veneer shows through nicely. The simple analog hygrometer also looks nice. The hygrometer reads 1-2% higher than my calibrated digital hygrometer, but that’s to be expected with the cheap analog units, so I don’t deduct anything for that. I have not and will not be using the provided humidifier so I cannot comment on it. In my opinion it’s not worth the hassle, just buy some Boveda packs and set it and forget it once per quarter. I use the divider to keep my Boveda’s out of the way and it works marvelously. Overall Impressions: honestly better than I would have expected for a cheap humidor. I love the look, the hefty feel, and the capacity is perfect for what it is. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a starter humidor, I love mine!

It arrived with zero defects, finish is a little lighter than the picture. I tested the hydrometer using the salt method and it was perfectly 70. I seasoned the box by placing two shot glasses of distilled water in it for a few days after a minimal wipe down, until the hydrometer hit 70. The small circular hydration disc that comes with it doesn't hold much water, for me it will hold it within nominal range for about a week, after two weeks of neglect it dropped down to about 60. It's finish is decent, smooth and simple. The glass and external hydrometer is a nice touch. Its an excellent desk humidor and for the price, its tough to beat. I got exactly what i expected, and am pleased by the product. I have no reason to not give it 5 stars.

Two thumbs up for this baby. I was a bit skeptical of what I was going to get for the price I paid but was pleasantly surpised at the quality when I got it. It also seals very well if you do the lid drop test. The only thing I would suggest is to buy a digital hydrometer to go with this for total accuracy. While the analog guage on the front gives it a nice classic look they are never very accurate.

This product seals better than similar priced humidors that I have used in the past. Finish looks very nice. Overall this humidor looks a lot more expensive than it is. Great buy. The only downside is the hygrometer isn’t digital. But mine came fairly close to accurate. Within a few percentage points.

Bought this product for a friend's birthday and when it arrived it was ALOT nicer than I would have ever expected. The box had a clean look and sleek design. Definitely recommend for anyone who is starting or just wants to add to their collection.

This is a great choice for your 1st humidor. Not only is it affordable, but the hygrometer (when tested against a digital) is within an acceptable margin of difference. But what I like the most, and immediately heard from friends, is that this a great decorative piece of wooden furniture, that happens to be quite stylish. I would recommend this to anyone. It's a great place to start, with a good balance of price, functionality, quality and aesthetics. Well done.

Having recently revived a long-neglected avocation as a cigar aficionado, I indulged myself with the purchases of a box of 25 Punch Chateau L Churchills, butane lighter, guillotine cutter and, perhaps most importantly, a respectable humidor of sufficient quality and commodiousness in which to ensconce my treasured smokes. Not only did my Mantello Glasstop 25-50 Cigar Desktop Humidor arrive within a reasonable time interval and in fine condition, but I was pleased to note how well-made it is, especially given the fact that I had paid a mere $30. for it. Since initially seasoning it with a moist sponge, loading it with cigars and adding humidifiers, it has maintained a consistent humidity level of approximately 70% to ensure the freshness of its contents. The glass top is a bonus, as it affords me the benefit of occasional glimpses of my Churchills without my having to open the lid. While I am aware of a few others' negative opinions of the accuracy of its included analog hygrometer, I must say that my subsequently supplementing it with one of the digital variety has proven it to be uncannily accurate. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this Mantello humidor to anyone. Sincerely, Steve Logsdon.

i have an older good humidor but need more space this one over a month on one moisture pack 70% everyday so must seal ok

It took a bit longer than I expected to season the Humidor, and I did have to adjust the Hygrometer, calibrated with a digital version. I also bought the Glycol/Distilled water mix. After 3 days it was fully seasoned, and I dumped my Romeo y Julieta#2's, and the various other Cubans I had. It's accurate and works well, as well as looks well, and holds a total of 35 cigars. I'm very pleased with it, especially for the money.
