String Swing Hangers work great!
I have been fortunate to build a small, but decent collection of acoustic and electric guitars in a room dedicated to music. All 15 of my guitars are hanging on the walls and in the 15 years I've been using String Swings I've never had a problem with them. They hold every guitar, regardless of neck shape or style. Since they swivel, my Fender necks are just as secure as my Gibson necks. The depth is adjustable, so they will account for the difference between acoustic guitars and solid body electrics. While I never had a problem with the rubber grip on the hangers marring the finish of my Nitro coated guitars, I didn't want to take a chance, so I use self-adhesive sheets of felt and wrap the posts with felt to further protect the guitar's finish. I try and screw them into studs to support the weight, and where I can't do it, I hang some of my lighter guitars, but the anchors that come with the hangers are strong and secure... although I sprung a couple bucks and bought similar screw-in anchors; but made out of metal - just that added bit of security to make sure nothing happens. I also strongly recommend (as others have done) that you run a humidifier in the room housing your guitars (40-50% humidity is perfect). I recommend the Honeywell Honeywell HCM-6009 QuietCare 9-Gallon Output Console Humidifier with Air Washing Technology

Display your axe proudly on the wall.
For the money you can't beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it. This guitar holder won't be defeated. Put this on your wall and you will show em how funky and strong is your fight. It doesn't matter who's wrong or right - as long as you are satisfied with the product - which I totally am. It looks great on the wall, installs in a few short minutes, and is very sturdy (assuming you screw it into studs). Show them that you're really not scared. Don't be macho man, just buy this guitar holder already. Or be a macho man if you want. OH YEAH BONESAWWW IS READEEEEEEEEEEE

I bought this for my daughters 3/4 acoustic. Hanging it on the wall made the most sense because of limited floor space and to avoid knocking into it. Looks good and installs very easy and comes with screws and drywall anchors. You just need a Philips screwdriver (and a tape measure if you want to get it in a precise location). I attached mine using the included drywall anchors because a wood stud was not near the mounting location I wanted. The wood stained back looks attractive too..

Perfect solution for my guitar collection (at least some of it)
I bought eleven of these in order to hang a bunch of my guitars and I found them to be extremely simple and quick to install. The included anchors work perfectly and went in without issue, leaving the String Swing solidly connected to the wall. If you are hanging a lot of guitars, making two rows (one high and one low) seems to be the best option. I spaced the hangers eighteen inches apart and the guitars I put up look nice and have a good, tight spacing. I uploaded two pictures of my wall after I had installed nine of the hangers and I couldn't be more pleased with the look... the pictures are uploaded on this product page. I have put up the other two hangers since I uploaded the pictures, so I will have to do new pictures, but the ones that I put up will give you a good representation of the look you will get with these. The easiest way to hang a lot of these is to use a laser level such as the Black & Decker BDL100AV All-In-One SureGrip Laser Level and a long cloth tape measure that you can tack to the wall. I just went down the wall making dots directly on the line, drilled quick pilot holes and nine of the string swings were installed in about 20 - 30 minutes. I think that this is the quickest and easiest way to get a professional-looking installation. As far as the performance of the hangers goes, what is there to say? The included anchors are big enough to keep the wooden backplate securely fastened to the wall and the hanger screws into a metal receptacle in the middle of it. As long as you make sure that you tighten the hanger properly, you will be in good shape. I DO NOT, however, recommend buying the String Swing Home and Studio Wall Bumper Brown, as they are complete garbage and fall off the wall almost immediately. EDIT: I put the other hangers up now and did NOT drill pilot holes. The anchors are made in such a way as to be nailed into the wall without using a pilot hole. Just mark the positions, use a hammer to nail the anchors up to the screw portion, then screw them in. It took about 1 minute to put a new hanger up, but this was partially due to the fact that I was able to use a level and put it against the bottom of the other hangers to get the line. At any rate, you do not need to drill pilot holes; just nail and go!

This is a very nice product! I bought three different versions (guitar, ukulele, and violin) all in the walnut color. It is nice that you can have matching mounts for all of your instruments so it looks nice on the wall. They mounted nicely to the wall, and even came with the plastic drywall hangars for instances where you are not able to mount the hangar directly on a stud. I am very pleased with this product, and would definitely purchase again!

Elegant, functional, and makes my guitar look amazing on the wall
I never used to be a person that hung on my guitar on my wall, but I am now! My wife got me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I screwed this into a stud on the wall just to be safe, since my acoustic guitars are valuable. I have two of these (different colors to match the wood of the guitars), and they look fantastic. Everyone comments on how nice my guitars look on the wall the moment they walk in. The interesting thing about hanging them on the wall is that it encourages me to play more. The guitars are so accessible because they are hanging right in front of you, that I find myself playing a lot more than usual. The padding on the holder is a great feature, and this is extremely sturdy. 100% recommended!

best guitar hanger, ever. nothing compares.
I've used dozens of these over the last 30 years. I've hung everything from mandolins to dreadnoughts and Les pauls and strats and basses and ukes and even guitar hero guitars, works beautifully every time. Plus, they're gorgeous hunks of wood. i would never buy or recommend anything other than this specific guitar hanger. the screws and anchors that come with it are top quailty as well. never put a single scratch or mark on any guitars. You can gently open and close the hanging part to fit the neck of your instrument. I have a 56 LP goldtop (not a re-issue) in mint condition hanging on one, that should tell you how much i trust these. roughly 2 to 3 inches of room behind the instrument and the wall while it's hanging. I never used the black walnut one, just simply because i prefer the look of the oak but i'm sure it's equally as superb.

Solid Construction And Looks The Part. Mount It Vertically Or Tilted
I wanted to hang my guitar in my TV room. I looked for various options on Amazon and other locations. I came across this one and liked the look. I was tossed between having my guitar hang vertically or displayed at an angle. The other wall mounts that offered the tilting option either looked cheap when displayed or were more costly than my budget allowed. I decided to go with the vertical display. When I received my mount I noticed that I could actually rotate the hanger part of the mount, allowing me to display the guitar on a tilt. I used an old door stop that I had laying around and covered it in layers of shrink wrap in order to help protect the guitar. I was also able to attach the mount to a stud by choosing the tilting option; that was certainly an added bonus. Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a guitar wall mount that looks good, is built well and provides options when it comes to mounting... definitely take a look at this guitar mount. It is working well for me and I'm sure that it will fit your needs. -Hg

I do like these hangers
Oh yeah... I do like these hangers. I have a ton of guitars and only have hard cases for my best. But with these I can hang the others all over my living room walls, to my wife's chagrin, and be able to just reach up and grab one and play. No having to futz around with dragging the case out and having it in the way. Now that I have given you a reason to have them I will report that the ones I got are plenty solid and provide enough sturdiness to hang even the heaviest guitar made. They are in my opinion very attractive and well made. The supplied drywall anchors appear to be adequate although I didn't need them as I have heavy wood paneling in my house not he cheap stuff so don't try to use them on cheap paneling without hitting a stud. But if you use good plastic anchors with a dab of Titebond on the anchor for drywall I would feel confident hanging most any guitar on them.

Fantastic hangers!
love the color, and it holds all of my guitars and basses with no issues. Asymmetrical headstocks may cause the guitar to list to one side a bit, but it has no threat of headstocks slipping through or off of the hook. Even my Telecaster hangs with no issues, and is not resting on the tuning keys, which is sometimes the case with wall hangers. Holds the guitar far enough off of the wall that you really do not need bumpers to protect the body from swinging into the wall. Even with large bodied acoustics, there is plenty of room. Comes with really good mounting hardware, and you have the option of mounting directly to a stud, or mounting on drywall using the screw-in style anchors that are included. For the money, you can't beat these!
