This is a real microscope, not a toy, ...
This is a real microscope, not a toy, for young scholars and just plain curious alike (and their parents/adults). Read the instructions, it does take some know how to make it work, but it is worth the effort!

The slides we bought for it are super visible with this microscope
Works really well for the price. My kids make their own slides from stuff they find in the woods and in the creek. The slides we bought for it are super visible with this microscope

Great Scope with Useful Features
This microscope is better than I expected. Comes with 2 magnification eyepieces for a total of 6 power levels. My 10 yr old son was a little frustrated until I showed him how to use it. Start with the lowest power to focus, and then go up from there. Subject pretty much stayed in focus even while increasing magnification. LED light has variable intensity - so you can reduce the light at low power and increase it as you increase the magnification. The course/fine focus knobs are geared and operate very smoothly. Makes it easy to fine tune the focus at high power levels. The 25 sample slides are well made and clearly labeled. My little scientist gives it 2 thumbs up!

Great little scope
Beautiful little scope! I'm a microbiologist by trade, and I'm therly impressed. Pulled some algee out of the fish tank and looked at it @ 100x...we clearly saw all sorts of critters. Light is nice and bright, and objectives are very clear. Highly recommend

The microscope is perfect for what I needed it for
The microscope is perfect for what I needed it for. I got it mainly for my service dog, too check for worms and parasites, There is really nothing I dont like about it. It will come in handy in the spring when I can capture little bugs and tear their legs off.

Perfect for our family
We have a 7-year old and a 3 year-old. Both love to check out stuff through this microscope. We got a camera attachment separately, which makes it easier to see things on the screen vs the eye piece. Need parents' help though, it's a bit too advanced for the kids to use it on their own. Last time we went on a hike we brought many 'treasures'... dry leaves, feathers, etc etc. most looked so awesome up close! Definitely recommend!

I am shocked at how good this thing is!
I've been wanting a microscope for years. I've been eying 2500X versions at $600–1000 and up. I'm so glad I got this instead. It's plenty of magnification for practical purposes. It has a solid, professional build quality. It's a stunning deal for under $94. The first duty I put it through was to examine diamond pendants at minimum magnification. You can see every inclusion, chip, flaw, etc with it. As a result, I'm taking back a necklace I just bought at a retail outlet, which turned out to be a piece of junk for far too much money. One word of warning: The listing shows a computer attachment. It does not come with one. Nor is that part listed in the package contents on this page. Including the picture is a bit misleading, but I suppose it does inform you that it's a cool option you can add later. Regardless, I'm still giving this microscope 5 stars. It really is an unbeatable deal for the price!

Great beginner's microscope.
Great beginner microscope for budding scientists. My 5 year old already mastered how to use it and is endless hours of fun for him. Dont waste your money on the kiddie microscopes and get this one! Comes with pre-mounted slides and image through the microscope is clear and sharp.

Excellent Microscope for the Price
Excellent Microscope quality at an excellent price. The Microscope is made of metal and is sturdy. This was purchased for my grandchildren. Other teaching items to use with the microscope are Greg's Microscope (I Can Read Level 3), AmScope The World of the Microscope A Practical Introduction with Projects and Activities, AmScope PS25 Prepared Microscope Slide Set for Basic Biological Science Education 25 slides in wooden box, A Drop of Water: Exploring with a Microscope (Dover Children's Science Book), and blank slides.

Great Starter Scope!
My kids and I have really enjoyed this microscope. It was a birthday gift for my 8 year old but I think I have enjoyed it at least as much as he has. I looked at the microscopes marketed for kids and they were all garbage so I decided to get him something that was less of a toy and more of a tool. It's sturdy enough to be abused by an 8 year old and the prepared slides are really fun. I recommend getting slide kits so you can create your own as well. I have actually been able to get decent pictures by cramming my iPhone camera in to the eyepiece. We have looked at cat whiskers, blood (it was mine, extracted via pinprick; don't worry!), leaves, you name it. It's a great learning tool.
