My son was pissed and had resorted to refusing to bathe because he hated getting water in his eyes and ears when we washed his hair. No matter how much we told him to just tilt his head back, he would scream. Enter "bath hat!" we got him super excited about it before it came, making lofty promises that the "bath hat" would solve his bath time woes. Fortunately it delivered, and he now willingly takes baths and lets us wash his hair. He also offers it to his Dada when while he's taking a shower as an act of generosity and kindness. Our son has an average size head for a 2/3 year old, and it fits him fine, we have also worn it around the house to increase it's allure and while it's a little snug it doesn't bother my husband or myself for the short duration that we have worn it. Not sure why people complain about how tight it can be - we only put it on him for the 2-3 seconds when we initially wet his hair, then we remove while lathering, and put it back on for another 2-3 second rinse.

I purchased this bath visor for my 3 year old nephew as he would get so upset about having to wash his hair. He would get so stressed at the idea of water going over his face that he would just scream and cry all the time. It just broke my heart into so many pieces....so much so that it became my quest to find something to help him. I came across this product on Amazon. I saw the ratings and read all the reviews. The more I looked at this product the more hopeful I became. Then I watched the video convincing me even more that this product may just work. I ordered the product and devised a plan. My nephew was so very anxious about bath time, I had to be crafty just to get him to try something he wanted absolutely nothing to do with. So one evening, I stopped by to see my nephew and informed him that I had something for him to stop him from crying when he had his hair washed. Interested in what I had in the bag as well as what I was talking about, I told him that other children had been doing the same thing a him - just crying all the time when it came to washing their hair but then after putting on this bath visor they didn’t cry any more because the water no longer went into their eyes. Then I showed him the video with other children wearing the visor while washing their hair. At that moment - I had him interested. He then was excited to see that he had this hat from the video and then wanted to show it to mommy and tell her all about it and what it did. The next night was hair wash night. My sister said my nephew cautiously allowed her to put the visor on him but he was still really really nervous. When she poured some water over his head - she said he paused.....and then looked at her and said “mommy it works”. She was so thrilled that she immediately ordered another visor online to have as a backup.

Works awesome. Don't let the people that are boo-hooing it discourage you. I'm using it on our 6 month old who has a little bit of a flat forehead and his head is a bit big (70-ish %). It works great, you may have to position it a little but you should expect that with anything. If your kid has sensory issue with the bath or water or tactile issues regarding their head then this is not a solve all blue magical pill. They probably need OT. Our kid loves bath time and this makes it even more fun for him.

I cannot believe that my two and a half year old son lets me use this on him. At first, he HATED it. The first time we used it, he grabbed at it while I was pouring the water and pulled it off, so the water came down on his face. High drama ensued. So I didn't push it, but instead I started wearing it myself during bath time, making a big deal about "Mommy's hat." It caught his attention because it is certainly odd looking. Then I would put it on him, for only a few seconds, making a big deal about his "hat." After about a month, I put it on him and quickly did the water. He doesn't love it, but he tolerates long enough now so that I can get a good 5 pours of water over his head before he grabs at it. Good enough for me. I think he's figured out that it keeps the water from draining into his eyes and his ears. As for me, it is SO much better, as he was freaking out during bath time and he would meltdown after the water got into his eyes. Now he'll get annoyed at "his hat" but no more tears.

My son is 3 and still hasn’t grown out of his fear of having water in his face. He would scream and cry every time I tried to wash his hair. I decided to try this out to see how he’d do. The difference was amazing! The second time I used it he was helping scrub his hair and even dumped a cup of water on his head to help rinse the shampoo out, because he knew it wouldn’t get in his face or eyes. We’ve only had it for a month, but so far we haven’t had any issues! I would highly recommend this!

This visor is worth every penny! When we bought it at first for my oldest daughter when she was 18 months old, she screamed and kicked while getting her hair washed because she didn't like any water in her ears or eyes. After a little bit of convincing and only using this visor a few times, she became calm during her hair washing. It was almost unbelievable how quickly her behavior changed and she then just played through the hair washing. We used the visor from the time my 2nd child was about 8 months old and washing his hair has always been easy. His head was too small prior to about 8 months for it to stay up on its own but we would occasionally still use it and just hold it in place. Because of this wonderful visor, washing hair is just like any other part of the bath and allows bath time to be fun as it should be for children. My older daughter still likes to use this "crown" as she calls it in the shower sometimes. I was really surprised that there are any bad reviews on this product. We are just now ordering another one. Our 1st visor lasted for 3 years using it on 2 children several times per week! No mold at all. We hung it to air dry after each use.

My daughter was impossible in the tub. Not only will she never sit down (I still haven't solved this problem), but anything to do with washing her hair was met with hysterical screams and running around the tub. I decided to try the bath visor as a last ditch effort. The first time we tried to use it, it did not go so well - lots of screaming and she pulled it off of her head, mid-water-pour, so there was a flood of water on her face. My husband then had the brilliant idea for us to wear the 'bath hat' around the house. We did. For a week. I wore it, my husband wore it. We put it on my daughter and would pick her up to show her what she looked like in the mirror. He favorite stuffed animals wore. We all looked like we were ready for a serious game of poker. The result? No screaming when we use it in the tub. It took three times of using it in the tub for there to be zero tears and zero fuss. The key to success with this is making it fun to wear outside of the tub. We sometimes have to do refreshers - she was ill and we skipped hair washing for 4 days. We had to do a day of wearing the bath hat around the house before she let me use it on her in the tub again, but with zero tears and zero crying. I would highly recommend this for anyone ready to lose their mind when it is time to wash their kid's hair. One small warning, if you use it 'upside down' and your kid will only look down like mine, then sometimes water pools in the front and can drip down or even shift the visor out of place. Easy solution is to just keep one hand on the front of the visor, even the lightest pressure keeps it secure. If your kid will keep his head up this shouldn't be a problem.

I purchased this in anticipation of surgery knowing I would have to keep my eyes dry for several days before sutures were removed. I am not fully human without a daily shower so I started looking for something that might work. I came upon this and although it is pictured as a product for children I scoured the reviews to see if it might work for adults. I think I found one or two reviews that mentioned being used by an adult. BTW I have a very large head so I was worried it wouldn't fit. Bought it anyway and it works beautifully. The manufacturer should consider also targeting adults with this product. Lasix surgery, eyelid surgery--even eyelash extensions--all require the eye area remain dry. This product works! Highly recommend!

my 4 yr old daughter has sensory issues and has hair past her waist. Washing her hair was such a battle for me. She hates water on her face. I hated it. She hated it. I started looking around to see if there was something that I could get her to help our bath time battle . I came across this and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did! At first I would just put it on her and me to just around the house to get her used to it. The first few times I used it at bath time was still a struggle because she didn’t quite understand it yet but then it got easier and easier and now we’ve been using it regularly for a few months now and bath time is no longer a battle. She is totally fine with me washing her hair and really enjoys bath time now. I’m so happy with this purchase.

I just repurchased this because my kids CAN'T wash their hair without it! When I first bought this my oldest was hesitant but quickly warmed up to it and now both my children do sooo well wearing it. Seriously wasting their hair was a nightmare before I had this due to my children's screaming and trying to get away from the water (they both have sensory issues). It is a bit firm when new but becomes softer and more pliable with use. I LOVE this thing and highly recommend it to anyone with a child who is averse to having their hair washed. 👐
