Super Sweeper!
This little sweeper is definitely worth the money, especially if you have cats. I have three, and this sweeper picks up so much fur. Since it's so light and cordless, it's easy to just whip it out of the closet to run over the rugs. I also like that I can use it on my lightweight area rugs and they don't get sucked up like they do with the vacuum. I'm very happy with this product!

love using this item
My husband, and the dogs, love using this item. It is great for in between major vacuuming. The dogs love it because dad pushes their toys around with it. Very sturdy and really picks up the dog hair and fun stuff the comes in on their hair.

Life can be messy, use a Bissell.
This is a wonderful sweeper for minor messes on living room rug and works well on hardwood floors. Opened a box with ornaments. Glitter all over the rug. This sweeper picked up the glitter and cat hair. Very pleased with this cordless sweeper. Definitely recommend this sweeper.

Love this sweeper!
I am SO glad I got this. I've never had one of these before and now plan to never be without. I use this everyday in the room where my cat's litter box is. There always seems to be at least a few pieces of litter scattered in this room and this sweeper is just the thing I can use in a matter of seconds to get the little pieces of litter between vacuumings. Easy to empty too.

Totally awesome. Assembly was easy and operation even easier
Totally awesome. Assembly was easy and operation even easier. I couldn't believe my eyes! It picks more up from a standard carpet better than the vacuum cleaner does it. And this is no mean feat. I keep pet hamsters, and their little cage litter gets on the floor all the time. With this wonderful gadget, the mess stays there only a couple of seconds. I keep the sweeper right there in the "hamster room."

A back and marriage saver....
My husband makes pig-pen look like a neat freak by bringing in the barn yard everyday. I was tired of dragging out the central vac to clean up the wood chips, straw, etc. all over the family room carpet and kitchen when he'd bring in the eggs. This sweeper picks up everything he brings in and more (crumbs, whatever he drops on the floor) when munching. Wish I'd bought it sooner! Oh, put it in the closet where he hangs up his coat and he used it the other day when he made a mess. Told me it was so much easier than the vacuum... I had to bite my tongue...

It Actually Works
I wanted something other than the noisy vacuum cleaner to pick up a leaf, some sunflower shells, a piece of paper that gets tracked in from outside. I vaguely recall grandma running a similar sweeper around her carpet and gave the Bissell Sweep Up a shot. So far I am pleased to report it actually works. It's great for sweeping up the stuff that somehow appears on the entrance mat and living room rug. It works on the hardwood floor too, but maybe not quite as well. Today I used it on the rug on the steps going upstairs- always a hassle with the vacuum. The handle is a bit too short for me and appears a bit flimsy; time will tell if it is durable. I'd buy it again. Three Weeks Later: I have been using this sweeper nearly every day - so much easier and faster than getting the vacuum out. Not only does it work, I'm actually using it a number of times during the week. Yea for Bissell on this sweeper.

That was my first terrible mistake. I used it once on carpet and ...
I have used this sweeper for twenty years. Yes, it lasted that long and still had some life left but I wanted a new one. I bought a Fuller Brush sweeper. That was my first terrible mistake. I used it once on carpet and once on the floor for bird seed. The next time I picked it up I took it straight to the garbage can. This sweeper Bissell Sweep Up is the same one I used all those years. I bought it this week, it arrived and I was using it with-in 15 minutes. My carpet looks beautiful, no more dog hair. Then to the bird cage, it picked every piece on the floor. Don't settle for any thing less buy the best, Bissell Sweep Up.

Easily and quietly cleans rugs very well, and environmentally friendly/green product
We now have more pets than humans in our house, and I needed a quick way to clean up cat fur, litter, and crumbs, especially from our black rug. I remembered the carpet sweepers my parents used to use, so I started looking for one. This one was inexpensive and had some great reviews, some terrible, but due to the price I felt I could try it out. It's worked extremely well on rugs, not so much on the wooden floor. On the wood, it mostly pushes around anything that will roll, even if I go over the items multiple times. But it easily cleans up all the white cat fur and crumbs from our black-background rug, and much more easily than the vacuum cleaner does. It also works really well on a rug with deep grooves and on sisal. As an example of how well this sweeper works, I ran it over a rug I'd recently vacuumed, and it still picked up hair and fur and maybe some crumbs/litter. I was also able to clean a corner of the rug under our bed that's hard to get the vacuum cleaner into without switching to the tools. (The width of the sweeper is smaller than I'd imagined.) My only complaint is the color; the dust shows up right away on the black. Also, it's not fun pulling hair out of the brushes on the bottom, though it's also not fun emptying our bagless vacuum cleaner.... But it's very easy to empty the dirt from inside the sweeper into the garbage can by just pushing on either side of the bottom. Some people complained that the handle broke easily. I'm not sure what they meant by "broke," but I've found that I have to tighten the handle periodically, as it sometimes feels like it's loosening when I carry it. All in all, though, it's a quiet way to clean your rugs (I can listen to music while using it), environmentally friendly since there's no electricity needed, and handy since it's so light. I've had this over a week now and have used it multiple times, and each time I was very happy I'd bought it and wished I'd thought of getting a carpet sweeper years ago.
