I had bought some "tape" lights maybe 3 years ago at Costco for cheap (maybe $12/set). They recently quit working, so I bought a new set ($40). I was shocked at the price. They contain three strips of lights but only one controller and remote. After reading the reviews for this product, I decided to give it a try to get the old lights to work and/or use with the new strips to operate independently of the single controller/remote provided. I have two sets of the old lights which quit working, and the idea of spending $80 to replace them seemed crazy to me. Wow, this product did not disappoint. I plugged in the new controller on one old set, and it worked immediately with the new and old remote. With the other old light set, I just needed the new remote to get everything working. This was a cheap and easy way to get the old lights working without re-mounting anything (command hooks, etc.) Needless to say, the $40 light set went back unopened. I strongly recommend this product if your old lights quit working and you are too cheap or creative to buy a new set.

This controller is the best built one that I've purchased so far. The other two I've bought, different brands, stopped working after a few weeks. This one is still going strong. The LED lights that it's being used in are installed outside on a sitting wall.

This thing is great, it has a variety of color options and even offers custom RGB editing, I used this to upgrade the led controller in my Computer after purchasing a RGB kit from another manufacturer, the reason? This RGB controller offers REAL RGB FADING not any of that Fade to black and then to another color stuff, it shifts directly from one color to the other and it looks amazing. Despite the fact some have reportedly received a product with a defect where the RGB associations are wrong, mine works perfectly fine, probably because its from a newer batch, anyways its been working for about 6 months I think, and it has absolutely no problems. So what does it come with? You get a simple white box and inside is the controller and the RGB controller, the way you power it is a 12v DC connector , since I am using this in my computer I had to resort to using the 4 pin molex to 12V DC connector, and it absolutely worked. However I overlooked one thing, this RGB controller offers only one connection instead of the two connections my old one had, so If your doing this make sure you pickup a " Y " splitter cable to maintain the existing connections. The only bad thing I could say about this product would have to be the fact the RGB controller sometimes has a slight jagged transition when using FADE 7, that problem seems to come from the onboard firmware that is not flashable, the other thing isn't so much a problem but can be an annoyance, the controller is IR, and unfortunately it uses some of the same instructions as other common TV remotes, meaning that it is possible that if somebody else is using a TV controller near, the IR receiver will pick this up and change color, but that also means you can change the volume and channels on some TVs with this remote. I like it and it works so I give it a solid 5 stars, product does exactly what its intended to do.

Remote is great, ended up using different ir receiver. The one this comes with is 12v and not compatible with Arduino. I'm sure the intended propose of this is great, I really just wanted the remote with these specific buttons.

Bought this for my existing LEDs that I have wired under bar, and when I got it the connector was female which was no big deal I popped it open and soldered my own male adapter on top so now its dual. But after I opened it I realized that the original wires were soldered wrong. On the PCB their is a R G B for each wire to be soldered respectively but this was not how they were wired. So when you use the remote to make the color green it goes to blue which is annoying but what more do you expect from a China product. 5 Stars for the fact that it works. Also.. make sure you use the correct power adapter for this or it will not work at all.

iUnfortunately, when I ordered my RGB LED light Strip, the remote that came with it was broken, and I couldn't change the color from white. Rather than deal with the hassle of returning the remote, I ordered this one for five dollars. Works well, color changes are accurate, and is compatible with all RGB light strips. Highly recommend.

White LEDs were factory installed in my motor coach under every cabinet/recess, behind window valances, along the entry steps, ceiling medallions, etc. I swapped them out for RGBs which makes it convenient to change the colors in order to prevent flying insect infestations while out at the lake. (Red had the best result.) If you're debating purchasing the small in-line style LED controllers, just buy these because I have had over 6 of the smaller types fail within weeks. These have been running strong for over a year. TIP: If the color buttons on these remotes (and everyone like them) do not correspond to the correct light color, turn the power off via the remote and hold the bottom right button for a few seconds. This will cycle the light colors to different buttons. My initial review was revised to the foregoing. 2 of the 4 control modules did not operate properly and upon placing a review, the seller contacted me via email to offer replacement units. (The "contact seller" option would not let me send a message at that time thus I simply left a review. It's becoming more and more rare for sellers to actually follow-up on any feedback but this one did.) I received the replacement controllers and they are operating as they should.

These are the same Dimmer and Remote you get with the 16 and 32 foot MINGER LED Light strings. The only difference is these Dimmer Units do NOT have the sticky back for easy mounting. If necessary, you can either buy double sided sticky tape and / or some small screws to mount the dimmers. I bought a box of 5 of these units for use in various locations throughout the house. NOTE: all the Remotes will control ALL the Dimmer Units! It's not so bad really cause I now have a bunch of extra remotes in case one goes belly up. These are LINE OF SIGHT remotes and are good for a distance of approximately 20 feet and you have to point the remote at the dimmer unit.

This is exactly what I needed! I had previously purchased a set of led lights that came with a power adapter, ir controller, remote and two strips of lights. I only needed one strand for accent lighting in our kitchen. I had a strip of lights left over but nothing to power it. I used this controller and remote with the second strand on the back of my dual monitors. It looks great! IT DOES NOT INCLUDE POWER SUPPLY. I had several spare power supply adapters that worked perfectly. Love the extra options and DIY custom settings!

I wrote a less than stellar review of this product, I was wrong. Here's the scoop. When I purchased this system I did not purchase one of the optional power supplies offered. I had a box of old wall warts and used one of them which provided 12VDC @ 1 amp. The problem with that is that the 16.4 ft LED roll requires 2.7 amps when set to bright with white light. The controller was merely responding to the lack of power supplied. I have since replaced the power supply and it now works as advertised. I had written "I was really impressed with this setup. I took it out to my man cave and tried it out on the bench where it worked great. Then I installed it in the family room in a hard to get to alcove for mood lighting. Wow it was awesome,,, for twenty minutes. Then all the white L.E.D.'s went out. That was last night. I turned it off and went to bed. This morning I turned them On and everything worked again, at least for about 15 minutes. Then the White's went out again. Seems like a component in the controller circuit is heating up and shutting down. I went to great lengths to install this lighting and I don't want to have to take it down. So I will be ordering a different make of controller today. Hopefully it will work better. Oh and BTW Amazon Prime is the bomb..." My apologies to all. This is absolutely a great value.
