Another Quality Rhino Rack Product
I ordered two of these to transport my kayaks on my Rhino Rack Aero Bar system. I decided against ordering one of these and the expansion kit because I felt that the size of my kayaks would make using the expansion kit difficult to use. This product, like my other Rhino Rack products, is well-designed and well-made. The quality of the design and materials used is evident as soon as you open the box. These carriers mount securely to the Rhino Rack Aero Bars. The mechanism that allows you to adjust the angle of the J-Bars is very sturdy and locks in well. These carriers come with everything you need to safely transport a kayak, including shorter straps to secure the kayak to the carrier, as well as longer bow and stern straps (assuming your kayak is long enough to require them). Even the straps are well-made enough to safely transport kayaks. I have transported my two ten-foot kayaks on my Rhino Rack Aero Bars and J Style Carrier system many hundreds of miles on the highway using only the shorter tie-down straps with no issues at all. The kayaks have not moved an inch thanks to the nice, non-scratching foam material on the surfaces that make contact with the kayak itself. I highly recommend this kayak carrier to anyone looking for an affordable way to safely transport their kayaks.

Great product.
Received this rack system 2 days before a 2 week vacation. Installation was very simple. Supplied straps were perfect. I mounted them to my 1"x 4' round Yakima bars. I have a 12' Mad River kayak. Don't know the exact weight. Drove through OR, WA, ID, and MT from Northern CA to Glacier Nat. Park. Very windy trip, approx 2,500+ miles total round trip. Rack did very well. After we drove up I5 to Klamath Falls to our 1st nights camp site and checked on the mounts (that were still very tight) I knew this was a great system. I checked on them again in Idaho and still tight. A big thumbs up from me. I will be purchasing another set in the near future for my wife's car. Side note- They do swivel on the round bars to match the contour of the kayak.

These are the best J-cradles on the market
These are the best J-cradles on the market. The locking mechanism is secure, and can be adjusted for your boat. They can go vertical to allow two boats back to back. This works really well. You don't really need the extra kit to complete the other half, but it does make loading a little easier to have the base on both sides. Mounting to crossbars is very secure. Note these will mount to flatter aero bars out of the box but you need an extra kit in order to mount to square Thule bars.

Kayak rack success
I love that it folds down when not in use. It was super easy to install to my factory roof rails. Sturdy. All the straps you need to tie it down comes with it. The only negative is that there was no way to lock it, so it would be easy to take if someone wanted to. I purchased the attachment to get the 2nd kayak on the roof. If I had to do this again, I probably would've just purchased 2 of these (and not the attachment).

These racks are very heavy duty! They fit on to my universal cross bars on my jeep trailhawk perfectly! The paddle holder is one of the main reason I bought them and it is so nice! It came with 4 straps and they have plenty of length. I don't use the longer one to tie my kayak down in the front and back simply because I already had nice straps that have hooks and it was easier to just hook them than to have to feed them through. Overall this is a amazing, well built product!

Very Easy to Use; Quality Product
I bought two of these to carry two kayaks on my Ford Escape. I love the folding option which makes it easy to store. They're very easy to attach to the roof-racks and changing the angles takes a couple seconds. I've made multiple 3 hr trips with two kayaks and no troubles. The straps that come with it work great. They're pricey but in my opinion, its worth it to have a quality product that is so easy to use.

Easy install on aluminum crossbars
I had some extra mounting bar length left on my rooftop tent install so I went with these J hooks to side-mount my kayak on my FJ—love this configuration. Traveled well at 75mph. I am looking for a way to lock these down, but otherwise no complaints!

Quality carrier.
Perfect for summer kayaking. Relatively easy to load a kayak and it has guides to carry the paddle. Easily attached to Yakima rack, but does not have the ability to lock to rails.

Love it
Worked very well. Loved the ability to add the paddle to the back side.
